In case you’ve been living under a rock, new anti-abortion laws passed in Georgia and Alabama. Offset who’s clearly aware of what’s percolating in the news cycle went OFF on Twitter about the laws, one of which bans almost all abortions in the state, with no exceptions for cases of rape or incest. “New laws is slavory To force a rape victim to keep a child is SLAVORY IM NOT PROUD TO SAY IM FROM AMERICA!!!” wrote Offset. New laws is slavory To force a rape victim to keep a child is SLAVORY IM NOT PROUD TO SAY IM FROM AMERICA!!! — OFFSET (@OffsetYRN) May 18, 2019 He quickly corrected himself and said that he misspelled “slavery” out of anger. Source: Jeff Spicer/Future Image/WENN.com / WENN Oprah Gifts School In New Jersey With A Generous Donation Ellen DeGeneres has had Akbar Cook–the principal at West Side High School in Newark, New Jersey–on her show twice, giving him $50,000 each time for his “Lights On” program, which made national news for keeping kids off the street from 6 p.m. to midnight. But Ellen isn’t the only celebrity giving Akbar and his foundation a helping hand. Oprah Winfrey made a surprise visit to West Side High School on Friday, dropping in to say she is giving $500,000 to West Side’s summer initiative, which is also held during the school year on Friday nights. “I heard about West Side and all of the great things that are happening here,” Winfrey said to a packed gymnasium. “I thought, ‘what can I do?’” She continued, saying, “I was moved by his story…Let me find this guy. Let me see what I can do to help further what he’s trying to do.” Winfrey–who came along with her longtime BFF and CBS co-anchor Gayle King, even had something extra for the kids. Everyone who was at the “Lights On” program would receive a $50 gift certificate to go shopping, as well. Students have said that their school is often maligned for having a reputation as a place where fights occur–but thank to Principal Cook and his staff, that narrative is changing. Senator Cory Booker has even tweeted about the principal, praising him during Black History Month as someone who should be admired. Oprah talked about the principal’s impact during her surprise appearance, praising his efforts and saying, “Everybody always talks about the grades. You can’t start to talk about the grades unless they feel safe, unless they feel seen, unless they feel respected, unless they feel valued.”
That’s it! We give up! We give in! It can now be deemed official: We’ve heard absolutely everything. Just when we thought that it was impossible to be shocked by anything at this point, considering all the utterly insane nonsense we read on a daily basis as celebrity news purveyors, the following story comes to our attention: Tyga was once married to Jordan Craig. Allow us to elucidate why this revelation is perhaps more stunning than Kim Kardashian naming a child Psalm . In 2011, Tyga started dating Blac Chyna . The stars welcomed their first child, son King Cairo, in October of 2012, prior to splitting in 2014. The following year, Tyga started dating Kylie Jenner . These two broke in 2017 and Jenner went on to date Travis Scott, with whom she had a daughter, Stormi Webster, in February 2018. Following along? Okay, good… In 2016, meanwhile, Black Chyna started dating Kylie’s brother, Rob Kardashian . They got engaged after just a few months as a couple and welcomed a daughter, Dream Kardashian, in November of 2016. Months later, the two called it quits. So that completes the Tyga branch of this effed up and confusing family dating and baby tree. On a literally related note, back in 2014, Tristan Thompson got together with Craig . The basketball player broke up with his model girlfriend toward the end of 2016 — when she was pregnant with their son and because he had started dating Khloe Kardashian . Craig, pictured above, gave birth to a boy named Prince in December of 2016 . Khloe then gave birth to Tristan’s second child, a daughter named True, in April of 2018. About a year later, Khloe dumped Thompson after he was caught cheating on her one too many times. Still following along? Don’t worry, there won’t be a test. These relationships all seemed incestuous enough… and that was before TMZ obtained legal documents that prove Tyga married Craig on September 6, 2010. The rapper filed for divorce exactly one month later and the split was finalized in 2011. Jordan, even added Tyga’s real last name (Stevenson) to her own after the marriage and dropped it after it ended. Did we also mention that, in recent weeks, Tyga began liking Jordan’s Instagram photos? We didn’t see this former marriage coming, but we did report a couple days ago that Thompson and Tyga seemed to actually be fighting over Craig . “Tristan is furious after he was told by a friend that Tyga was creeping on Jordan’s social media,” an insider close to the situation told Hollywood Life this past week. But now said creeping makes a lot more sense. And what’s even crazier is that Thompson apparently has no right to be upset — because Tyga had Craig first! Who would have guessed? This is sheer madness, people. View Slideshow: 13 Men Whose Lives Were Ruined By the Kardashians

They also address the hunger gap in rural communities. The end goal in this collaborative effort is to provide 1 billion meals for the hungry. As part of the Fight Hunger Spark Change initiative, Walmart will contribute to the pantry for underserved families at LeBron James’ I Promise School in Akron. Since the inception of this specific campaign, Walmart and Feed America have served over 975,000 meals and James has stepped in to push the project goal forward. Overall over 749 million meals have been served through Walmart’s partnership with Feeding America. “It’s an honor and a privilege for me in my community and what I’m doing here to partner with such a heavy hitter in Walmart,” said James. Walmart CEO Doug McMillon is thankful to have James participate in this initiative and believes that his platform will help amplify the campaign’s message. “What we hope to accomplish together with LeBron is to magnify each other’s efforts. We would love to help this model that he’s creating lead to a situation where it could help even more people,” he said. “Walmart has a responsibility to help strengthen communities.” James has continually lent his voice to social and political issues impacting underserved and disenfranchised communities. Source: MARK RALSTON / Getty Man Arrested After Beating A Woman With An Electric Scooter A man in California was arrested and charged in the murder of an elderly woman after he allegedly beat her to death with an electric scooter, according to reports from KTLA . 27-year-old Amad Rashad Redding was indicted on Wednesday on one count of murder in the death of 63-year-old Rosa Elena Hernandez. Authorities say that Redding approached Hernandez in Long Beach on Monday afternoon, knocking her to the ground and then proceeding to stomp on the woman’s head. When a bystander tried to help, that is when Redding reportedly took an electric Bird scooter and bludgeoned her to death. Officers who responded to the horrific incident found significant injuries to Hernandez’ upper torso and she was pronounced dead at the scene. Police don’t believe that Redding actually knew his victim prior to this incident, and prosecutors described him as a transient who “randomly attacked” Hernandez. One resident did tell the station, however, that she had seen Redding in the neighborhood before. “I’ve seen him, he walks around, I’ve seen him walk around a few times by our house actually,” said Misty Velasco. Hernandez was a local babysitter who had lived in Long Beach for almost 40 years. “She knew everybody in the community, she would walk around, talk to all the Latinas and Latinos who lived in the neighborhood,” Dennis Fitzgerald said. “She did not drive, so she just walked every place.” Redding fled following Monday’s assault but was found about four hours later inside of a business, according to the Los Angeles Times . He was previously arrested back in February for allegedly setting a fire inside his family’s home in Louisiana, as reported by the Louisiana State Fire Marshal . Redding is currently being held on a $2 million bond and faces a possible sentence of 25 years to life in jail if convicted.
