Source: Derrick Salters/WENN.com / WENN Wiz Khalifa Is Starring In A New Series On Apple TV+ Wiz Khalifa has a new acting gig on his resume, and it looks like it’s going to be a lot different than the Wiz we all know and love. According to Entertainment Weekly , the rapper will star as the personification of death in Apple TV+’s upcoming series Dickinson. This show is going to follow the young life of the famous poet Emily Dickinson . “We literally put Wiz Khalifa on our tone board as this would be the dream,” show creator Alena Smith told EW when speaking on their decision to cast such an unlikely lead. “Like he’s the aesthetic we want Death to have and then somehow we magically got Wiz Khalifa, so that was incredible.” Also set to star in the series is Hailee Steinfeld, who will play alongside Khalifa as a young Emily Dickinson. Khalifa and the idea of death will serve as Dickinson’s muse and lover throughout the series. The show blends hip-hop and poetry to convey their romance and will also infuse modern music and dialogue to make the overall story palatable for audiences. “I wanted Death to be the coolest guy in the world because Emily is in love with Death,” Smith continued. “Part of the story of the season is about her coming to a more realistic and mature understanding of Death, but where she begins is a kind of Goth worship of death. I just really wanted it to be someone that you would genuinely get excited to see.” We all know and love Wiz for having such a laid-back yet fun-loving personality in real life, so it will definitely be different watching him as the personification of death. Dickinson is set to premiere when Apple TV+ becomes available for users on November 1.

This joint tour with Blink-182 seems to be a troubled one for Wayne, as this isn’t the first time he’s has run into troubles and possible cancellations. This time, the rapper is telling fans that police and the Ritz-Carlton are responsible. Weezy took to social media to explain that he wouldn’t be performing on Saturday night after being kicked out of the Ritz-Carlton hotel in St. Louis. “Sorry not doing the show tonight in St Lou kuz I was just kik’d out the Ritz and 12 got involve so I gotta slide,” the rapper tweeted, breaking news to fans. “Tht y’all f w me out here. He later clarified that he would not drop out of the tour and said, “I’m having too much fun with my bros.” Later that same month, he canceled his Tampa performance last-minute.

W hile coming of age in Harlem, Kevin Richardson dreamt of taking his passions for music and basketball to Syracuse University. His plan to further his education at the school would come to a halt in 1989 when the then 14-year-old was wrongfully convicted of rape along with four other Black and Latino teens who were labeled as the Central Park Five. It’s been 17 years since the men were exonerated, and the institution is honoring Richardson in a special way. According to WRVO , the university recently created a scholarship named after him. Kevin Richardson is one of the five black and Hispanic men falsely accused of rape in 1989 — also known as the Central Park Five. The fund—which is a part of the school’s Our Time Has Come Scholarship program—will financially support Black and Latinx students attending Syracuse. According to the university, 1,300 students have been served through the initiative. Richardson—whose harrowing experience motivated him to become a criminal justice reform advocate—is humbled by the university’s decision to name a scholarship after him. “Just for people who look like me – people of color – to be helped and have a scholarship connected to my name, to help out individuals to move on further, which I didn’t get a chance to, to actually pay it forward to others – that is the best thing that can happen,” Richardson told the news outlet. “If I’m not around tomorrow, at least my legacy will continue on.” Aside from the scholarship fund, students are pushing to have Richardson honored by the university in other ways. According to the Daily Orange Jalen Nash —a political science major at the school—launched an online petition asking Syracuse to award Richardson with an honorary degree. So far, the petition has garnered over 5,000 signatures. “While this dream could never be fulfilled due to circumstance, it is never too late to do the right thing,” Nash told ABC News . One day prior to the arrest, police were dispatched to “Create and Bake Restaurant” and “Coughman’s Creamery”, after a maintenance worker at the shopping plaza where Coughman’s establishment is located called about someone burglarizing the restaurant around 9:30 p.m. NEW: Former NFL player turned business owner Edawn Coughman was arrested for allegedly vandalizing his own business, staging a hate crime possibly for insurance money. Gwinnett Police say they found spray paint in his truck, a crow bar, and the spraypainted slurs were still wet. pic.twitter.com/a5UUFdNsTY — Hayley Mason (@HayleyMasonTV) September 13, 2019 Once officers entered the former NFL star’s spot, they found several racially-motivated words and symbols spray-painted on the walls and doors including the word “MAGA”. Police also found several booth cushions sliced open, broken mirrors, cut wires and damaged surveillance system. Shortly after, local police spotted a black truck without a license plate and pulled it over thinking it could be a possible suspect — turns out, it was Coughman driving the vehicle. He told them he noticed the damage and called his insurance company but did not call 911. Upon further investigation, the lead detective on the case sensed that something was suspicious about Coughman, so they arrested him and impounded his vehicle. In the truck, police found a crow bar used to pry open the back door of his business as well as several cans of black spray paint. According to Gwinnett County Police, Coughman conjured a premeditated plan to collect insurance money from his damaged business, disguising it as a hate crime, and selling off the undamaged electronics found in his truck. Coughman has been charged with false report of a crime, insurance fraud and concealing a license plate. He bonded out of jail shortly after, but is expected to appear in court sometime soon.

Alyssa Michelle Hatcher,17, allegedly stole nearly $1,500 from her parents’ bank account to pay for the murder-for-hire plot. According to the place records, Hatcher used $400 to pay a close friend to have her parents killed, and when the friend failed to carry out the attack, she paid another person $900 to do it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The girl’s boyfriend reported to investigators that he had seen her at “a known drug house” where she told him she wanted to kill her parents. When an investigator at her home interviewed her, Hatcher said that in addition to paying two people to kill her parents, she also used the money she had stolen from her parents to buy cocaine. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Hatcher has been officially charged as a juvenile with two counts of criminal solicitation for murder.
