Even in the age of Peak TV, some of this year's TV shows were just flat out bad. Many of them didn't last past one season, while others still manage to have an audience — somehow. From the quick flops to the worn out staples, here's a look at some of the worst TV shows of 2016. 1. Notorious To be fair, nothing could have filled the Scandal-sized hole in our hearts — and our Thursday nights. But Notorious didn’t even come close to being a solid replacement while the Shondaland favorite was on its lengthy hiatus. 2. Heartbeat Loosely based on the life of Dr. Kathy Magliato, this bizarre medical procedural was pretty much a trainwreck. 3. Conviction Despite the fact that Hayley Atwell is incredible, ABC’s Conviction managed to be a total trainwreck, and it’s already been canceled. You can do better, ABC! 4. The X-Files Sometimes, a revival series can be a wonderful thing. That wasn’t the case with The X-Files. The brief returns of the series had a couple of good episodes, but mostly, it was a disappointment. 5. Shadowhunters Freeform’s Shadowhunters turned out to be a pretty poor adaptation of the young adult book series. Yet another disappointment from this year of television. 6. Dead of Summer Ugh. Another disappointment from Freeform this year, Dead of Summer had the potential to be something great. Unfortunately, it didn’t follow through. It was unoriginal and unbearable to watch. It's not exactly a secret that Kailyn Lowry has been having a tough year. Or a tough couple of years. Really, poor ol' girl's just had a tough life, but we don't have time to go through all that sadness right now. So let's just focus on 2016 and how it sincerely tried to destroy her. At the beginning of the year, and all throughout the year, we're sure, Kailyn was reeling after suffering a miscarriage . The miscarriage, she's said, contributed to to her divorce from husband Javi Marroquin , and that's the thing that's really thrown her for a loop for the past several months. She's been consistently making cryptic, worrisome posts on her various social media accounts, she's gotten what seems like a significant amount of plastic surgery , she's declared that she'll never get married again. Kailyn has also made statements that made it seem like her time with Teen Mom 2 is drawing to a close . But, thank goodness, that time is not now. Our girl here is back for the new season of the show, the one that premieres on Monday night, and we have a new clip from the first episode. In this clip, Kailyn is dealing with what she calls a “quarter life crisis.” See the dramatic footage below:

Maci Bookout’s former lover Ryan Edwards is engaged to Mackenzie Standifer , but it turns out his fiancee has some baggage of her own. If and when they walk down the aisle … it won’t be the first time! Mackenzie Standifer, 20, got married to her own baby daddy, Zachary Stephens, in September 2013, when she was five months pregnant. She filed for divorce on July 13, 2016, according to Radar. “Plaintiff is entitled to an absolute divorce on the grounds of inappropriate marital conduct ,” the final decree of couple’s divorce read. “Mackenzie Stephens is hereby granted an absolute divorce from [Zachary] and the parties restored to all rights and privileges of unmarried persons.” All of that is pretty standard … but does Ryan know?! Standifer maintained ownership of her 2015 Ford Mustang in the divorce, while her ex was awarded his 1994 Jeep Wrangler. Even trade. The parties were both responsible for individual debts. Mackenzie’s divorce was finalized on November 10 of this year, and as for the most important takeaway from this revelation by far? Standifer was granted primary custody of their son. Stephens was ordered to pay $503 monthly in child support for Hudson; Ryan Edwards of course, is dad to Maci’s first child Bentley. Ryan had only been with his girlfriend for a couple of months, but things went great from the start, and he proposed to her this month. “Getting married,” he captioned a photo of her engagement ring at Waffle House (that’s where the photo was posted, not where he asked). As you know if you watch Teen Mom OG online , Maci and Ryan have had their moments over the years, but are in a good place now. In fact, he was a guest at her nuptials, and as his plus one when Bookout married Taylor McKinney , Mackenzie actually caught the bouquet. Guess they took the traditional meaning of that to heart! More importantly, Bookout openly praised Standifer at her wedding for being a wonderful second mother figure to her first-born child. “I am so happy that when [Bentley] is with you, you can be his mother and treat him like your own child,” Bookout said in a deleted scene. “I just want to let you know I really, really appreciate you.” Maci added that “All I ever wanted was for Ryan to find someone that makes him happy and who will treat my son, as their own child.” “So,” she told her, “we are both his mother.” Pretty amazing turnaround from years past, and even from earlier this year, when Ryan was killing cats for kicks and possibly on drugs. All is right with the Teen Mom world?
You know how Christmas is supposed to be all about peace on earth and goodwill towards men and baked goods and all? Somehow, this lady right here didn't get the memo. Emma Tapping, a 36-year-old mother of three, apparently gets that giving back is supposed to be a big part of the holiday season, but damn, did this girl go too hard. See, Emma has three kids: a 14-year-old daughter, a 10-year-old daughter, and a little toddler-aged son. And this is what's “under” her Christmas tree this year: When she shared that absurd photo on Facebook, she wrote “Another year of hard graft, saving and planning. Another year of my family making me proud everyday.” “They deserve a great Christmas. The haters will hate but nothing and no one will change how I do Christmas.” Yes, this is just how Emma does Christmas, OK? Haters will hate, but nothing will stop her from spending $2,000 on 300 presents for three kids. Sure, it's materialistic as hell, and yeah, there are so many presents here that it honestly looks kind of tiring. Seriously, each of those poor kids has to rip into 100 presents on Christmas morning and pretend to be excited about each and every one of them. It's kind of cruel when you think about it. Check out Emma defending her choices — and doing some more Christmas shopping! — in this crazy clip:
