Seeing famous people dress up as other famous people is pretty dope too. For example, Beyonce rarely changes up her look — specifically when it comes to hair and makeup. But for Halloween, the Queen always shows up and shows out.   Bey stepped on necks this year as Toni Braxton . The Queen remade Toni’s “Another Sad Love Song” cover and renamed herself “Phoni Braxton”.   Bey always gets it right, and proves she’s not as far removed from the culture as folks think. Get Well: Wrestler Roman Reigns Relinquishes WWE Universal Championship To Fight Leukemia

FayesVision/WENN.com Roman Reigns Reveals Leukemia Battle Professional wrestler Roman Reigns is sharing some sad news. The WWE personality has announced that he is stepping away from the ring due to an ongoing fight against leukemia. Reigns, real name Leati Joseph Anoaʻi, has been living with cancer for 11 years and it’s sadly returned. He said he would relinquish his claim to the WWE’s Universal Championship as he focuses on battling leukemia. “When I was 22 years old, I was diagnosed with this,” said Reigns. “And very quickly I was able to put it in remission. But I’m not going to lie, that was the hardest time in my life. I didn’t have a job, I didn’t have any money, I didn’t have a home and I had a baby on the way.” He also denied that he’s retiring. “I want to make one thing clear — by no means is this a retirement speech. I will beat this and I will be back, so you will see me very very soon.” Roman’s WWE family has since expressed their support for him. Norf Side Thespian: Vince Staples Just Landed His First Lead Acting Role In The Film, ‘Punk’

Photo by Jim Bennett/Getty Images Vince Staples Is Getting Into Acting With New Lead Film Role Vince Staples is so much more than a rapper, and now he’s adding even more to his resume. Not only is he a musician and Sprite’s number one ambassador, but not, he’s getting into the acting world as well. The Long Beach native has just landed his first leading role in the film,  Punk , which is going to be directed by Richard Hughes, who will also be making his debut as a director. Punk  is said to be centered around the protagonist Peter, played by Staples, who goes on a road trip with some free-spirited people after receiving some disappointing news via a rejection letter. While embarked on said trip, Peter will learn that he contrary to what he might have believed, he doesn’t really know the people around him as well as he previously thought. He ends up finding out while on the trip that he is on the road with a group of bank robbers and someone who is on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list. According to  The Hollywood Reporter , Brian Kavanaugh-Jones and Braden Aftergood will produce the movie. Aftergood has previously produced movies including 2012’s  Battleship  and this year’s  Siberia . Kavanaugh-Jones worked on this year’s  Insidious: The Last Key . This wouldn’t be Vince’s first time working within the movie world. The Long Beach rapper has had his music featured in the film  Creed  with the track “Waiting For My Moment” along with his contribution to the  Black Panther soundtrack. Aside from his flourishing acting career, the rapper has just wrapped up a tour across the United States with Childish Gambino. As of now, no release date has been revealed for Vince’s upcoming leading role, but be on the lookout for  Punk  to make it to the big screen sometime soon.

And the desire to be cuddled up, spending time with the one you like is at an all time high.   In millennial lingo, we summarize all those feels with one term: Cuffing Season. It feels like we were just flipping burgers on the grill for Labor Day — now folks are scanning their recent dating rosters to see who’s good enough to spend the majority of their time with for the next eight months or so. One Twitter user joked , “It’s cuffing season baby. time to lose ur sense of self and merge identities w another person bc it’s cold outside.” While some folks are scrambling to decide between their top three eligible candidates — some of us are just fine staying aboard the “single and lovin’ it” train. Bustle recently did an article on why Cuffing Season is an awesome time to be single, and it brought up many valid points. Heather Ebert , a dating and relationship expert at WhatsYourPrice.com, told the site, “Cuffing season is, in part, a result of societal pressure dating. A lot of it has to do with singles not wanting to show up alone when they go home for the holidays. Some people want to be showered with gifts … others just want to cuddle up next to someone to stay warm.” She added, “It’s easy to get caught up in the hype of cuffing season and rush to settle down for the winter.  But those romances are unlikely to outlast the cold because they’re rushed and usually not met with intentions of lasting any longer. Instead of focusing on settling down for the last part of the year, spend some time on yourself and with your family.”   It’s not just the experts who say Cuffing Season is nothing but hype. Shy_Charles recently tweeted, “Not being funny but cuffing season isn’t really a thing, is it? Like yeah the nights draw in and it’s Christmas and that but you’ve got Valentine’s straight after and then summer romances after that! Every season is cuffing season, let’s just be serious.”  Let’s do something a little different this go round, and celebrate the uncoupled and uncuffed this year with seriously Anti-Cuffing Season songs. In a powerful and candid Instagram post this week,  Taylor Swift urged citizens to take action next month and vote in the midterm elections. Not long afterwards, the singer took an action herself that she had not taken in three years: She performed on stage at an awards show. Indeed, Swift opened the 2018 American Music Awards on Tuesday night with a rendition of “I Did Something Bad,” reminding viewers everywhere that she deserves the honor she would later win at the ceremony. (Swift was named Artist of the Year and, in the process, became the most decorated female artist in American Music Awards history.) The 28-year-old pop sensation donned a sparkly long-sleeve leotard with over-the-knee leather black boots for her wildly-anticipated performance. She also brought the drama with smoke and a giant snake (!!!!!!!) – which has been her Reputation tour logo and which has been a response to being called a snake years ago by Kim Kardashian – behind her on stage. It was clear those in attendance were psyched to have Swift back in their lives. “They’re burning all the witches, even if you aren’t one/They got their pitchforks and proof,” Swift sings in the featured track. Having received some criticism from Republicans for not supporting any of their candidates in her aforementioned social media message, Swift did not back down at the AMAs. In her Artist of the Year acceptance speech, she didn't take any side… but she did remain political. “Thank you so much for this,” she said on stage, adding: “And I just wanted to make a mention of the fact that this award, and every single award given out tonight, were voted on by the people. And you know what else is voted on by the people? “The midterm elections on 6 November. Get out and vote – I love you guys.” And we love you, Taylor.
