Did Katy Perry cozying up to Robert Pattinson lead to the latter’s split from Kristen Stewart? Not exactly. But the pop star did play a role in this famous couple’s recent breakup. According to Life & Style , at least. “Katy told Rob she didn’t think their relationship could withstand the cheating scandal,” an insider tells the tabloid of Kristen’s makeout session with Rupert Sanders. “And he deserved better than someone who would destroy a family.” Pattinson moved out of the home he shared with Stewart this week, leading many to fear that this parting really may be permanent. And while it’s unclear just how strong the pull of Perry is on the actor, this report alleges that Rob ” leans on [Katy] during hard times.” “Katy never really supported Rob’s decision to get back with Kristen,” concludes the source. “She liked Kristen, but ultimately she’s loyal to Rob and wants what’s best for him.” Do you want what’s best for Rob? Lil Scrappy Fails Urine Test, Cites "Addiction to Marijuana"

Troubled hip-hopper Lil Scrappy says he is addicted to marijuana, and having failed a urine test, will be checking into rehab to deal with that. Scraps appeared in a Georgia courtroom Wednesday, where officials revealed a urine test that he took last week – and came back positive for marijuana. His lawyer, Mawuli Mel Davis, says his client acknowledges that he’s still using pot and will check into a rehab facility before his next hearing in June. The rapper was arrested for violating his probation back in March … after a dispute over a different urine test. We are sensing a bit of a pattern here. Officials say that Scrappy tried to turn in a urine sample that was cold – a sign of possible tampering – then refused to make another “submission” on the spot. Maybe he was just dehydrated?

Yesterday, Jonathan Rhys Meyers was linked with a role in  Star Wars Episode VII . Today, we get to see him in a poster for a movie he’s definitely in,  The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones . The enigma that is Amanda Bynes has become a source of much speculation and entertainment these days, as everyone tries to figure out what her deal is. E! has a new theory : She’s obsessed with Blac Chyna. Chyna, the stripper turned music video girl turned rap reference, boasts blonde bangs and cheek piercings, and Amanda is said to be a major admirer. Beyond the newfound physical resemblance, consider: Amanda is obsessed with herself. She admits this. Blac Chyna also thinks highly of herself, saying “I’m trying to be the baddest bitch on Twitter.” We’ve seen Amanda Bynes Twerking out at the gym. Blac Chyna often makes a similar, Twitter effort to document her gym visits. As fans of Amanda Bynes’ Twitter know, she recently began rapidly Instagramming collaged photos of herself … as Blac Chyna has been known to do. Both have made similar, albeit unnecessary, statements about how they need to lose weight, and weigh in at 135 pounds right now. Blac Chyna has a baby with rapper Tyga, a member of the Young Money Cash Money crew. Drake is a also member of Young Money posse. Amanda Bynes wants Drake to murder her vagina . Lil Wayne Dropped By Mountain Dew Over Emmett Till Controversy

Lil Wayne will no longer be representing Mountain Dew. PepsiCo cut ties with its popular pitchman Friday over his controversial lyric mentioning 1950s civil rights martyr Emmett Till in the crudest of ways. “Beat that pu–y up like Emmett Till,” the 30-year-old rapped on Future’s “Karate Chop” remix , which was later pulled due to the offensive reference. Weezy recently apologized for (well, acknowledged) the controversy in a letter to Emmett Till ‘s family, but that apparently did not go far enough. PepsiCo released a statement asserting that Weezy’s “offensive reference to a revered civil rights icon does not reflect the values of our brand.” “We do not plan any additional work with Lil Wayne moving forward.” Tunechi’s rep confirmed the split with the food and beverage corporation, but called it “an amicable parting” of ways due to “creative differences.” When he was 14, Emmett Till was beaten beyond recognition in Mississippi in 1955 for allegedly whistling at a white woman and nothing more. Epic Records removed the obscene lyric from the song and issued an apology, and Weezy said he will not be performing it in any way again. Yet the Till family was still outraged by the lack of a sincere apology and called for Mountain Dew to sever its ties with the Young Money CEO. Point, Till family.

Charlie Wilson Dies, Former Ohio Congressman Was 70

Charlie Wilson, an ex-Congressman from Ohio, has passed away. He was 70 years old. The Democrat suffered a stroke in February and was admitted to a hospital in Boynton  Beach Saturday after falling ill. He died the next day around 2:30 p.m., surrounded by family members. Wilson won a write-in campaign and served two terms in Washington, securing federal funding for projects that benefited the police department, airports and small businesses. Prior to being elected to Congress, Wilson served in the Ohio House of Representatives from 1997 to 2005. “I served with Charlie in the State Legislature for six years and he was a loyal friend in good times and bad,” Ohio Democratic Chairman Chris Redfern said in a statement. “An outspoken advocate for working people, Charlie never wavered in his service to his constituents or his lifelong pursuit to help improve the lives of others.” Wilson is survived by four sons, one of whom served as his campaign manager in the 2006 race and then on succeeded him in the Ohio Senate.

Lauryn Hill Claims She Didn’t Pay Taxes Because She "Withdrew From Society"

Lauryn Hill claims the reason she stiffed the United States on massive tax bills for years is essentially the same reason she fell off the map after the ’90s. Fear. Lauryn filed legal document asking for mercy before her sentencing later this month, claiming there was a reason she failed to file tax returns from 2005-07. Hill has already pleaded guilty and faces several years in prison. Her hilarious excuse for not reporting $1.8M in earnings? She stopped paying “when she withdrew from society at large due to what she perceived as manipulation and very real threats to herself and her family.” She’s not specific about the threats, but it’s a new explanation for her abrupt disappearance from the music scene after her rise to fame, if nothing else. Lauryn’s asking the court to consider other factors and to give her probation instead, citing that she can pay off the debt much faster if she’s not in jail. A judge will rule April 22.
