Megamind vs. Saw 3D: A Brief History of Kids Accidentally Seeing the Worst Things Imaginable

Ah, yes: The old, “We took our kids to see one movie, and then they were showed something much, much worse” news story . It’s the type of almost yearly occurrence that warms the hearts of those people who like laughing at the absurd (non)misfortunes of others. In this case, a group of 7-year-old children in Massachusetts went to see Megamind 3D with a couple of parents, only to be shown Saw 3D instead. As one child told his parents, the mere site of the violent images witnessed by his young eyes were enough to make him not want to see another movie ever again.

Selena Gomez Is A Nice Young Lady

Here’s Selena Gomez looking cute and innocent, like a young Disney star should, dancing around and having a good time in some photoshoot for something I don’t care about. I don’t really know how old this young woman is, so I’m having trouble finding something funny to say without ending up on one of those creepy sex offender websites. I’m being told she’s actually eighteen…. I’m not buying it.

Jimmy Fallon, Bruce Springsteen Channel Willow Smith, Perform Acoustic "Whip My Hair"

The great Bruce Springsteen joined host Jimmy Fallon, who does an amazing Neil Young impression, for a cover of “Whip My Hair” on Late Night last night. It is nothing short of epic. Dressed as Young and evoking the crooner with each word and mannerism, Fallon’s ” Whip My Hair ” felt straight out of the ’70s, decades before Willow Smith graced this planet. The Boss rocked a Born to Run -era beard for the occasion, too: Jimmy Fallon Covers Whip My Hair

Tyga Says Snoop Dogg, Game Showing Him California Love

‘I never asked for that West Coast stamp,’ Young Money rapper says of fellow Cali MCs blessing his LP. By Shaheem Reid Tyga Photo: Alexander Tamargo/ Getty Images Celebrity Favorites: Tyga Tyga just started touring with Drake and he’s enjoying a spike in his fanbase as a result of his surprise smash with Chris Brown, “Deuces.” The Young Money MC may even go out on the road with Brown later this year. But when conversation turns to his still-untitled second album, Tyga says he’s in no rush to deliver it: He has a game plan. “I’m thinking, I don’t wanna set no date on it,” the Los Angeles rapper told Mixtape Daily during a recent trip to New York. “I wanna let Nicki [Minaj] do her thing right now. Her album comes out November 23. Christmas is cool for me, January, February. I got songs; all my records and my singles, everything is timed up. “I just dropped ‘I’m on It,’ which was a good way to start. But this next record, it’s gonna be my official record. That needs to be ‘Jam of the Week,’ ” Tyga said, giving a nod to MTV Jams. “It’s called ‘Really Raw.’ It’s me featuring Pharrell, Snoop and Game. The video is outta here — it’s gonna be a remix with Diddy screaming on it. It’s gonna be crazy. Remember I told you that.” Tyga says the collaboration with Snoop Dogg and Game just “kinda happened.” The Pharrell-produced track was already done when Tyga’s OG homies decided to jump on it. “I never asked for that West Coast stamp,” he said. “A lot of people don’t know I’m from the West Coast. My swag is different. Me being from Young Money, affiliated with them, some people think I’m from down South. They think maybe I’m from New Orleans like them. It’s just good to show people and build outside of Young Money, build my brand outside of that. I think [Game and Snoop], they just respected it. I feel like too many people on the West Coast, they’re too needy. They feel they need Snoop or Game. I never did any tracks with any West Coast artists. Not because I didn’t want to, but because I didn’t feel like that’s what I had to do in order to get on. I just did music. That took me far enough to where Game and Snoop got on that record.” Tyga revealed that Snoop was the first to bless him with guest vocals. “The record was already done,” Tyga recalled. “Snoop came to the studio and heard it; he got on it. Then the next day, Snoop called Game and said, ‘I did a record for the little homie.’ Then Game came in and said, ‘I’m not just gonna let you have Snoop on it.’ It just became classic.” Apart from Snoop, Game and Skateboard P, Chris Breezy and Young Money will also make appearances on Tyga’s sophomore LP. Drake Keeps Focus Firmly On Fans At Miami Tour Stop

Cash Money honcho Birdman, Rick Ross join Drizzy at sold-out show, as he shouts out Lil Wayne, honors Aaliyah. By Jayson Rodriguez Drake performs in Miami Monday Photo: Alexander Tamargo/ Getty Images MIAMI — For Drake, even as the venues get bigger, his performances grow more intimate. On the second date of his Light Dreams and Nightmares Tour — the sophomore headlining trek for the Toronto lyricist following his Away From Home outing earlier this year — Drake was ever the gentleman, as he catered to a single invited guest onstage at the James L. Knight Center, despite all of the shrieks from the sold-out crowd. “Stay right there,” he told concertgoer Veronica. “Let me take my time.” With that, Drake casually walked over to the young woman, took her hand and began slow-dancing with her. “Hold on,” he shouted to the audience, pausing only a minute in. “If you have a camera on your phone, stop.” The Thank Me Later star then proceeded to grind even more slowly with the lucky fan as a twin billing of “Un-Thinkable (I’m Ready)” and “A Night Off” boomed throughout the arena. On a night when everyone from LeBron James to Bow Wow was backstage watching the concert, Drake was instead fully focused on his fans. He sang, chatted and basked in their adulation. Kick-starting his set with the “9 a.m. in Dallas” freestyle, Drake was nimble for the first 30 minutes of his set: “The Resistance” quickly transitioned into “Karaoke,” “Successful,” and “Fireworks,” before giving way to Young Jeeyz’s “Lose My Mind” remix. The Birdman (“Money to Blow”) and Rick Ross (“(B.M.F.) Blowin’ Money Fast”) joined Drizzy later on during his performance, as did his Young Money/Cash Money Billionaires fam, Tyga and Mack Maine. But despite the big-name cameos, it was those who weren’t present that took priority on Tuesday night (September 21). At one point, Drake’s DJ, Future, played a stirring Aaliyah tribute. The late singer’s “One in a Million,” “Miss U” and “At Your Best (You Are Love)” played on the venue’s massive speakers and led right into the Aaliyah-sampling “Unforgettable.” Young Money CEO Lil Wayne, though, seemed most unforgettable on the humid fall night. During Drake’s take on his breakout hit “Best I Ever Had,” he urged the audience to shout “Free Weezy” to his “Young Money.” “When I say, ‘free,’ you say, ‘Weezy,’ ” he chanted with the crowd. The psychedelic-inspired lights on the stage shot lasers out into the stands and Drake, decked out in cargo pants and army fatigues, beamed as his boss received ample helpings of approval from the audience. “You can thank me later!” he yelled as fireworks shot out from behind the stage. Big Boi, Rutina Wesley, Joey Lawrence Reminisce On ‘When I Was 17’

The stars remember flunking tests and having no underwear on the latest episode. By Mawuse Ziegbe Joey Lawrence on “When I Was 17” Photo: MTV “When I was 17 years old, I went to go [take] my driver’s license test,” Big Boi remembered on the latest episode of “When I Was 17” . Although the young MC was already showing tons of promise and was well on his way to hip-hop stardom with fellow ATLien and Outkast spitter Andre 3000, there was one task that eluded the budding star. “I was so worried about trying to parallel park. I was always trying to slide this way, slide that way. I’m so nervous about that, I get in the car, I’m driving and the man’s like, ‘Well, you did great and everything, you can parallel park, but you didn’t put on your seatbelt, so you failed.’ I was like, ‘Damn.’ ” Like Big Boi, “Blossom” hunk Joey Russo was a talented teen dealing with fame. Unlike the young MC, Russo had to handle a unique professional experience that only comes with the ability to spark teen girl hysteria with a flip of your pretty, pretty hair: having your own doll. “Of course I have a Joey Russo doll … or 30,” Lawrence’s mother Donna quipped. Although the plastic Joey doppelganger was mom-approved, the TV teen idol didn’t think the plastic likeness truly captured his image. “Doesn’t it look a cross between something from “Grease”?” Lawrence said, examining the figure decked out in mid-’90s finery like ripped jeans and a leather jacket. “It’s like Danny Zuko meets me, sort of.” Lawrence did concede that making the Russo doll was a cool process “because you’d go and they had the molds of your head and you had to sign off and say ‘Mmm that nose is nice.’ ” The doll-makers got the noses fine, but they needed some motherly advice when it came to plastic Russo’s too-hot-for-TV-parts. Mama Lawrence insisted the doll be outfitted with some underwear. “I didn’t want there to be any attention on areas that shouldn’t be discussed,” Lawrence’s mom explained. Whoa. “True Blood” starlet Rutina Wesley was still flirting with the idea of fame when she was 17 and of course, what better way to live out starry-eyed dreams than to appear in a production of the musical “Fame.” “What I love about ‘Fame’ is it’s sort of like I was living ‘Fame.’ I was going to a performing-arts high school, [and] I knew the hard work it took to be there. The auditions were brutal for that show, I remember I had to dance, sing and act, and it was really tough,” Wesley recalled. As die-hard fans of “True Blood” know, the actress found her true home was in the spotlight. “The theater at my school was awesome,” she laughed. “It was a 1,400-seat auditorium, so, being in that auditorium at 17, and having, like 1,400 people cheer for you was, like, one of the most amazing feelings that I’ve ever felt, energy-wise. It just felt right.” “When I Was 17” airs Saturdays at 11 a.m. on MTV.
