It’s been less than 24 hours since the world learned that Gwen Stefani has filed for divorce from Gavin Rossdale , and the theories regarding what caused the couple to call it quits have been piling up. The consensus seems to be that Rossdale was caught cheating . The big question that remains, of course, is – who was his hookup partner? The earliest reports had Rossdale hooking up with the nanny , but that almost seems too obvious. Now, Radar Online is reporting that the marriage was actually doomed by  Stefani’s discovery of Rossdale’s gay affair with Peter Robinson, a former member of Boy George’s band who also goes by his stage name, Marilyn. The story may seem a tad ridiculous at first (After all, Rossdale was a noted ladies man before he met Stefani.), but the former Bush frontman has previously admitted to “experimenting” with Robinson in his youth. Robinson claims it was much more than that, and the two were actually involved in a long-term relationship. Now, Robinson is speaking out about his recent interactions with Rossdale, and he claims he may have inadvertently played a role in the end of his marriage. “I spoke to him a couple weeks ago, ” Robinson tells Radar. “He called me.” Robinson claims they spoke for over an hour, during which time Rossdale lashed out at him for causing problems in his relationship with Stefani. “Because I did an interview [about the affair]…and everything from then on is all my fault,” Robinson says. “Gwen wants him to be something he’s not, and he wants to be something he’s not. That’s my interpretation….I’m very sad for all parties involved, mostly the children.” It’s unlikely that Robinson’s version of events will ever be confirmed, but stay tuned to find out if Rossdale responds to the allegation.
