Singer/actress has the last season of ‘Hannah Montana,’ a new movie and more music on the horizon. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by James Lacsina Miley Cyrus Photo: MTV News While Miley Cyrus’ new album, Can’t Be Tamed, doesn’t drop until June 22, the singer/actress is still looking ahead to what’s next. “I think my fans will be excited to know they’ve got more to look forward to,” said Cyrus, who just released a clip for the album’s title track . “It’s not just gonna be [this]. We’ve got another season of the show [‘Hannah Montana’] , which I think people are excited about that. I’m working on a movie this summer.” Miley recently announced plans to take a break from music and focus on her acting career, but she isn’t planning to abandon it altogether. “I think [my fans have] a lot to look forward to in music as well,” she teased. For right now, Miley fans can enjoy her spicy new song and video, which she says got full approval from her parents. “My mom was on set,” she said of the edgy video. “And my dad loves it, because I think my dad was thinking I was a little crazy as I was writing it. When you see it, they were so proud of the treatment I came up with.” Plus, she thinks the video is pretty spot-on to who she is as a person. “I think it definitely shows a change of what people remember me as, but it’s not trying to not be me,” Cyrus said. “I didn’t want to be just a character. The teenage hooker allegedly raped by Lawrence Taylor is opening up about how her pimp forced her to have sex with the NFL legend after she refused. “I told him I wasn’t going to the hotel, and he said, ‘You’re f*%king this up, it’s $300,” the frightened Bronx girl, 16, said Rasheed Davis, 36, screamed. “He hit me in the face, so I covered my face,” the girl told the N.Y. Post . She crouched down on the ground to avoid Rasheed Davis ‘ blows, but “[he] was kicking and stomping on me” before “dragging” her to the Holiday Inn. “He told me to tell him my name is Carmen and I’m 19 years old,” she recalled. “He told me repeatedly and I had to repeat it back to him.” Lawrence Taylor was arrested last week and charged with rape . When she arrived at hotel in Suffern, N.Y., “the lights were off and [Lawrence Taylor] didn’t see that my face was bruised ,” the girl recounted. “Lawrence asked me my age and I told him I was 19,” she said, noting that she feared for her life if she didn’t have sex with the Hall of Famer. “If I didn’t go through with it, [Lawrence Taylor] would’ve called Rasheed and there would have been severe consequences ,” she said. “God knows what would’ve happened if I didn’t go through with it.” On the drive back to The Bronx, the girl frantically text messaged her uncle about the alleged assault and prostitution that had just taken place. “Tio [the uncle] help me,” she hurriedly typed out while still in the alleged clutches of Davis, according to a text shown exclusively to The Post . “I don’t want to live like this.” After getting the message, her uncle called 911 and cops were waiting at Davis’ home to arrest him. Taylor was arrested for rape later that day. The girl is now in foster care, reports say. Meanwhile, Lawrence Taylor is privately contradicting what his lawyer has said publicly about his having sex with the 16-year-old prostitute. A source close to Taylor says that the ex-New York Giant acknowledged the pimp supplied the girl, but “honestly believed she was 19 or 21.” Taylor’s lawyer said flatly yesterday that he did not have sex with her. According to the source, Taylor is “devastated,” insisting he’s “not into the world of 16-year-olds.” However, the source does add that “He wants a lot of girls. They don’t have to be the most beautiful, but he’s into quantity.” As for whether it matters legally what he thought or was told, if the NFL star had sex with an underage girl, according to the law, it’s rape. Under New York State law, it doesn’t matter if the girl lied to him about her age, it’s statutory rape regardless. If he had sex with her, that is. He says he didn’t, although neither he nor his attorney has offered much in the way of details regarding the alleged incident as of right now.

Lena Horne’s beauty, talent and race helped pave the way for generations of African-American stars. She passed away Sunday night at 92, reports The New York Times. As she recounted in her successful, Tony-winning 1981 one-woman Broadway show, Lena Horne: The Lady and Her Music , the star, shewas born in Brooklyn and rose from the nightclub chorus to the rank of headliner, starting at Harlem’s Cotton Club. MGM’s first leading actress of color, though she was often relegated to secondary scenes that could be edited out of movies when shown in the southern U.S. Her films included 1943’s all-black screen musicals Cabin in the Sky and Stormy Weathe r (the latter’s title song became her anthem), though she was denied the role she long coveted: the mulatto saloon singer Julie in MGM’s 1950 Show Boat . That role instead went to her friend Ava Gardner. In the end, Hollywood simply wasn’t really ready for a beauty of color. Though she never played a maid, Horne was also denied leading-lady roles. “They believed that audiences weren’t ready,” she said, referring to Hollywood studios. “They didn’t know what to do with me. So they did nothing.” By the mid-1950s, Horne – who in 1947 married composer and director Lennie Hayton in secret in Paris, because interracial marriages were illegal in California – left Hollywood, “bitter,” she said, “at the whole Hollywood system.” She went on to tremendous success as a stage actress and consummate jazz singer. Hayden and she “went all over the world,” Horne said 1981. “We were the chic, to-be-seen-with couple. But I always had a wall up around me. I wasn’t going to let anybody in. Part of it goes back to my childhood.” “My parents separated when I was 3, and later my mother, an actress, took me from our home in Brooklyn and was always leaving me with different people in the South. I never let myself love anybody because I knew I couldn’t stay around.” Not until the middle 1950s did Horne begin to mellow. “When I stopped trying to break barriers, that’s when I looked around and saw a lot of good white people who would hold hands with their colored sisters. I also saw that there are many people who aren’t black who get kicked around too.” “I saw that and I softened up.” Widowed in 1971, Horne moved to New York City and continued her stage and concert work, and even did the occasional movie role, including that of Diana Ross’s fairy godmother in the 1978 The Wiz. Of her early life in Hollywood: “”I was a test case,” she said. “I could never feel like I was just a person working in movies. For MGM and the NAACP, it was always, ‘Look, here is our Negro woman.'” Horne is survived by her daughter, Gail Lumet Buckley.
