Poison lead vocals Brett Michaels had suffered the most terrifying experience of his life. During that time, Michaels got his strength from his girlfriend Kristi Gibson. “In most of our world, Bret’s the hero, but in this situation, Kristi was the hero – she saved his life,” says Michaels’s guitarist and friend, Pete Evick. Michaels bore two daughters with Gibson, Raine, 9, and Jorja, 5, did it by keeping her cool. “I’m used to being calm, because of the times when his blood sugar has gone low, and if I freak out, he freaks out,” says Gibson, who spoke to PEOPLE for this week’s cover story. After a CAT scan at a nearby Scottsdale, Arizona, emergency room revealed the bleeding in his brain, Gibson rode with 47-year-old Michaels in the ambulance to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix. “I said, ‘I’m not leaving his side,’” says Gibson. “I held his hand and told him, ‘It’s going to be okay.’ Just from his eyes, you could tell how much pain he was in. “Magazines have told me in the past, ‘We don’t want you on the cover. You’re not pretty enough,'” Grammy-winning singer Pink tells the June issue of Cosmopolitan . Does it make her sad? No. “That’s okay. I’m unique and I dig it,” she adds. In the interview, Pink also opens up about fixing her marriage to motocross racer Carey Hart, whom she married back in 2006 and briefly separated from in 2008. “I’m so dramatic, and in the past, I’ve been really mean,” Pink admits . “Carey sat me down one day when we were fighting and said, ‘Baby, when you call me names, it hurts my feelings. Please try to stop.” And I was like ‘Wow, thank you for telling me how you feel. Now I fight fair.” If he really did nail Michelle McGee , though, that warrants name-calling. Pink is the most badass chick Cosmopolitan has ever interviewed . They are not planning for kids – yet – but just give it time. “At this point, we’re still trying not to, but I absolutely can’t wait to not try not to,” the singer says. While the prospect of a baby Pink may seem somewhat frightening, you gotta love her honest, straightforward nature. Way better than some generic phony. More importantly … would you hit it?

Filed under: Humor A girl signed up to have her picture taken by a company that sells stock photography. Her photos were eventually used on the cover of a book called Smile Lines . A friend of hers decided to play a joke on her, where he encouraged Reddit commenters to post creepy comments on the book’s Amazon listing about the cover girl. So, Reddit commenters started leaving weird reviews like: A member of my church recommended the book to me. Apparently Mr. Walter A. Newport III had been a founding member of an international center. I like those credentials! Unfortunately the cover of the book tempted my teen son to commit sinful acts. He removed the cover and stitched it onto a body pillow. Pray you never walk in on your son doing the “double backwards hovercraft paint mixer”. It is burned into my retinas. And: Guys… don’t buy this book if you ever want to live a life that isn’t constantly filled with pain. Since the first moment I saw the face of the woman on the cover I can’t get my mind off of it. From day to day I’ll put the book in my european carry-all. I bring her around and take pictures with her doing fun things. I hold up the book, hug it adoringly, and snap away. Sometimes I’ll take it to lunch. I don’t read it, but instead I just set it across the table from myself and have conversations with it… I mean… her. *sigh* I’m such a wreck. All I want to know is where I can find this gorgeous woman. Does she always wear those glasses? Is her nose that perfect in real life? Does she make love to me the way her picture on the book does? And then, Smile Lines Girl’s friend alerted her about the Amazon action through Facebook . He kept it going for a while, but eventually told her it was all a joke, fearing that Amazon might take the reviews down before he could enjoy the fruits of his prank. Tiger Woods withdrew from the prestigious Players Championship Sunday, citing an injury and saying he’s “been playing with a bad back for about a month.” The problem is reportedly a bulging disk in his upper back. After taking several months off for sex addiction rehab following the revelations of his serial cheating on Elin Woods, Tiger’s return began promisingly enough. He finished fourth at April’s Masters, but missed the cut at last week’s Quail Hollow Championship, and then pulled out of The Players Championship Sunday. Call it the Curse of Joslyn James . Woods did not indicate how long the back problem may sideline him. Naturally, given the events of the past several months, when you here “Tiger Woods,” “pulling out” and “bulging” in any context, one’s mind ends up in the gutter. Perhaps it was little surprise, then, that even The Golf Channel turned into the Spice Channel Sunday when a reporter made an X-rated faux pas about the injury. While some of her contemporaries hit the stage and made music videos displaying their prowess on the dance floor, Aguilera relied primarily on her impressive vocal range. But in the new video for her single “Not Myself Tonight,” she wanted to experiment a little. “There is dancing, and I learned so much also as a dancer doing the ‘Burlesque’ film, moving my body in ways that were, I feel, never as precise before,” she told MTV News about working dance moves from the Cher-starring movie into the Hype Williams-directed video. “Dancing always came sort of secondary to me. Vocals were my first love and where my heart really was.” The singer, who is set to release her album Bionic on June 8, said she now has a whole new appreciation for grooving on the dance floor. “I never was as passionate about dancing, per se,” Aguilera said. “But after ‘Burlesque,’ I really fell in love and I adapted that in the dancing for ‘Not Myself Tonight,’ but it was really, really fun to take what I learned from the movie.” Her upcoming film wasn’t Aguilera’s only source of inspiration for the video, though; the pop star also looked closer to home. “A lot of that was based on my visual inspiration,” she explained. “I took Hype into my salon area in my home … it’s like my creative den. By Shaheem Reid, with additional reporting by Rahman Dukes Wiz Khalifa This Week’s Main Pick Street King : Wiz Khalifa Holding It Down For : Pittsburgh Mixtape : Kush & Orange Juice Real Spit : Here’s the breakdown if you’re late to the party: “The Jets” support Curren$y, while “The Taylor Gang” supports Curren$y’s partner-in-rhyme, Wiz Khalifa. “With no Taylor Gang, the plane don’t fly,” Wiz told Mixtape Daily, sitting in one of his favorite Pittsburgh eateries. Wiz has had a strong buzz the past few years on the mixtape circuit, and many fans are calling his recently released Kush & Orange Juice his best effort thus far. “I named the mixtape Kush & Orange Juice because, in a nutshell, I tried to match up a name that goes perfect with the tape,” Wiz said. “It’s perfect for wake-and-bake, if that’s what you’re into. Anybody who knows me knows that’s what I specialize in. It came out Kush & Orange Juice. That’s the formula. Fruits and vegetables. The tape is heavily inspired by all different types of herbs and wonderful green things that make us grow.” The tape’s throwback cover was inspired by the artwork for David Ruffin’s 1970s opus Gentleman Ruffin. Dave’s music was just some of the inspiration Wiz caught wind of in the ‘Burgh. He described his hometown as a big city with a small-town vibe. “Growing up in Pittsburgh was great,” Wiz said. “It’s a town like no other. Everybody knows everybody. If I don’t know you, then my parents probably know your parents. Then me and you wind up meeting each other and getting cool. Just being in places like this, everybody knows everybody. I’ve been coming here since I was a teenager. I show them respect, they show us love. “Everything is everything,” he added of his beloved P-Town. “The support factor of having a whole city on my back and people who care about what I’m doing.
