The DJ’s upbeat rendition of the hit single comes in celebration of his afterparty at Stagecoach on Sunday night, which featured a very special premiere performance from Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus playing “Old Town Road” for the first time ever. Source: Brian Ach / Getty Today, the investors in the new Woodstock Festival said it was off. However, the promoters say it’s still on. Just about everyone else is confused. First, earlier today (April 29), Billboard reported that the three-day Woodstock Festival’s organizers had decided to cancel the event. Officials from Dentsu Aegis Network, the event’s sponsor, told Billboard : “It’s a dream for agencies to work with iconic brands and to be associated with meaningful movements. We have a strong history of producing experiences that bring people together around common interests and causes which is why we chose to be a part of the Woodstock 50th Anniversary Festival. But despite our tremendous investment of time, effort and commitment, we don’t believe the production of the festival can be executed as an event worthy of the Woodstock Brand name while also ensuring the health and safety of the artists, partners and attendees.” They added, “As a result and after careful consideration, Dentsu Aegis Network’s Amplifi Live, a partner of Woodstock 50, has decided to cancel the festival. As difficult as it is, we believe this is the most prudent decision for all parties involved.” This is a major setback considering some the headliners included Jay-Z, Chance The Rapper, the Killers and Imagine Dragons. However, shortly thereafter, the Woodstock Festivals promoters said it was still on. “Woodstock 50 vehemently denies the festival’s cancellation and legal remedy will (be) sought,” read a statement from Woodstock 50 promoters, as reported by the Poughkeepsie Journal . Woodstock 50 was (is?) scheduled to go down Aug. 16 to Aug. 18 in Watkins Glen, Schuyler County in New York. However, the County Administrator reportedly received notice of its cancellation. She took the mic and minced no words. “Hello Nashville. My name is K. Michelle,” she said. “I have three number one albums on Billboard. You can pull out your Google right now, as we speak, no lie. I currently am here in Nashville, I just got through sitting down with Chris Stapleton, you guys can pull [him] up. I am a Black girl. And guess what? Remember when we told you that rumors were swirling that Shamari Devoe was demoted from RHOA to make room for Kenya Moore’s alleged return ? Well after Marlo Hampton helped fuel those rumors by calling the Blaque singer “peachless”, someone’s shutting down the chatter. theJasmineBRAND spoke with a source who told them that the Shamari Devoe demotion rumors are NOT true. According to the source, the contracts are still in the works and Marlo who’s only been on the show as an “extra”, has no knowledge of contract negotiations. “There is no truth behind that and Marlo for the record, she has been on the show for 6 years and has never been promoted above an extra. Her statements are unfounded and not rooted in anything solid. She has not seen anyone’s contracts, not sure if she has a contract of her own but she has not seen any paperwork regarding Shamari DeVoe. Shamari had a really good time. The audience has loved her. There have not been any contracts, the contracts are in the works.” Hmmm, it does seem a little early for RHOA execs to pull Shamari’s peach. During the season viewers saw Shamari get intoxicated at NeNe’s “Bye Wig” party and throw up on Eva’s shoes. The source says however that Shamari’s drinking was all in good fun. “Somebody who has been drinking a little more than normal, of course, their behavior can be interpreted as funny and this and that. Clearly, no one was every scared of Shamari when she was under the influence of her good time with her friends. Shamari feels like she is on the defensive with Marlo. We’re all human, we all would get tired of somebody consistently drilling us about negative things and we know that we’re not.” Seeing Shamari let loose was pretty entertaining. The International News reports that a woman named Xiaoli struggled to breathe while watching “Avengers: Endgame” this weekend. Xialoi was reportedly so overwhelmed by the movie that she had to be taken to a hospital because she was hyperventilating. Her doctor spoke with The International News about the incident: “I saw that the patient had been breathing heavily, and according to the description from her peers, we thought that she her crying had caused ‘hyperventilation’. We immediately gave her oxygen and relaxed her emotions by appeasement, reducing her hyperventilation symptoms.” The distraught young woman has since been released. The movie did have some very emotional moments; but was it that serious??? Were you distraught too by “Avengers: Endgame”???

It’s the usual, Joc, Scrappy, and Kirk, but then Karlie Redd’s fiance, MO is in the mix too. Joc and Mo are cool despite what could be awkward circumstances. They keep it grown. Kirk then mentions that he and Rasheeda want to plan another couples retreat. Mo says he and Karlie Redd might, but in the meantime, has to go to Arkansas to “take care of some business” and the rest of them tell him they hope it works out. This is definitely loaded…and sounds shady. We’ve been here tons of time on this show, but anyway, hold that thought because it’s going to come back around. Let’s fast forward a bit. Che Mack is at Pooh’s house explaining how silly she feels for taking Pooh’s advice and trying to “expose” Karlie Redd at her engagement party. It took losing her job as a dj to do some self-reflection. Later on, Che mack is now working as a bartender since she lost her dj gig. Shekinah and Tokyo Vanity meet up with Che before a shift as a bartender to see wtf she was thinking at Karlie’s party. The general consensus is, Che Mack needs to apologize. Speaking of Karlie Redd, she’s dealing with some real ish. The doctor confirms what he already suspected. She’s having a miscarriage, and he’s devastated. Meanwhile, Moniece and Tiarra have respective conversations about Scrapp Deleon cheating shenanigans. Scrapp seems to have broken things off with Moniece while telling Teirra that he’s willing to try for the sake of their family. Heard that one before. Back to Karlie and Mo. Karlie did some snooping while Mo was gone and found some conversations with a woman in Arkansas so she plans to confront Mo, who plans to tell her what’s up anyway so it’s not really a confrontation. Mo explains to Karlie Redd that he was in Arkansas trying to take care of a DNA test situation. Basically, a woman from his past explained that she has his baby. Mo said he didn’t know the woman was pregnant and she just popped up. He plans to get a DNA test and he plans to take care of his child if it’s his. Karlie is livid, especially because she has been with men who have had babies on her. Mo seems genuine, and you know how hard that is to come by o this show. So, Karlie tells him to gtfoh and that they are done. In fairness, Mo actually seems genuine and like he’s telling the truth. Karlie is being hasty and unwilling to hear him out. Maybe she’ll come back around. Erica Dixon is pregnant with twins and kept it a surprise until she felt like telling her girls. She has an announcement party with her girls and then Che Mack comes waltzing in. Karlie is there too. Che Mack apologizes to Karlie and they call a truce. Karlie even apologizes for having been rude to her. Finally, the episode winds down with Moniece confronting Scrapp about him being caught kissing Tommy as well as Tiarra having a problem with her on social media, and al his other drama with women yatta yatta. Now Scrapp is changing his tune. He said he was never exclusive with anyone (but probably lead them all to believe that) but now he’s preparing to be a family again with Tiarra. Moniece is over it (for now) and that’s that. We all know Scrapp is still lying though. He’ll get caught again soon enough. See you next week. Peabo Bryson remains hospitalized in stable condition after having what’s being called a “mild” heart attack. A rep for Peabo told TMZ that the Grammy winner was at his home in Georgia early Saturday morning when he suffered the attack. His rep says he’s currently responsive and both his medical team and family are optimistic that he’ll make a speedy recovery. “At this time, privacy is requested; however, the thoughts and prayers of friends and fans are welcomed and appreciated,” Peabo’s rep told TMZ. Thoughts and prayers for the man who gave us “A Whole New World”—you got it, Peabo! Get well soon.
