Eminem Calls Out Netflix For Canceling ‘The Punisher’

Go here to see the original:

Source: Patrick Harbron / Patrick Harbron/Netflix It’s starting to look like the only villain that Marvel’s superheroes can’t possibly defeat is that dreaded Netflix cancelation. After having canceled fan favorite shows Luke Cage and Daredevil  last year, Netflix started off 2019 by putting The Punisher to sleep and giving Jessica Jones her walking papers. Though the second season of The Punisher left much to be desired, fans still had hope that it would get a chance at redemption in a third season. It will not and everyone is tight. Amongst those upset that Frank Castle won’t be swiss cheesing up anymore bad guys for the foreseeable future was Slim Shady himself and he took to Twitter to voice his displeasure with Netflix’s decision. DEAR @NETFLIX , REGARDING YOUR CANCELLATION OF THE PUNISHER, YOU ARE BLOWING IT!! SINCERELY, MARSHALL — Marshall Mathers (@Eminem) February 21, 2019 No “F” bombs, Em? Wow, you really have grown. This latest cancelation hurts just as bad as Daredevil ‘s being that the show’s writers let it be known that Wilson “Kingpin” Fisk was supposed to be the Punisher’s primary villain in season three. That is exactly what fans have been waiting for since the two crossed paths in the second season of Daredevil . But Netflix said “Nah.” Though there’s a real good possibility that the canceled shows will find new life in Disney’s upcoming streaming service Disney+, there is a clause in Marvel’s agreement with Netflix that shows canceled by the company can’t be taken anywhere else for a few years . So there’s that. Luckily The Punisher doesn’t fall under that umbrella but would Disney invest in a show where blood and violence is its calling card? Guess we’ll have to wait to find out. — Photo: WENN.com

A Biracial Family Was Having A Photoshoot In The Park When #SidewalkSally Attacked Them For ‘Trampling The Grass’

Here is the original post:

A crazed White woman, whose being dubbed #sidewalksally, violently attacked a biracial family who was having a photoshoot for their daughter in the park. Footage shows Kelyn Isaiah Allen and their one-year-old daughter Anja, who was dressed in an adorable pink outfit, were interrupted when a barefoot Franci Neely approached them and disrupted their shoot before trying to strike the father. View this post on Instagram TSR STAFF: Thembi! @ThembiTV_ _____________________________________ Imagine trying to have a cute little birthday photoshoot for your 1-year-old daughter, and a #SidewalkSally ruins that moment for you. That’s what happened to Kelyn and Isaiah Allen when they were rudely interrupted as they were taking pictures of their daughter, Anja. _____________________________________ Y’all, they had it all set up. Balloons, a blanket, and all of that on a beautiful sidewalk. Everything was going well until a woman identified as Franci Neely confronted them because she was reportedly upset that they set up their props on the sidewalk. Watch the video to see how it all unfolded! : @thewallflowr | @insideedition A post shared by The Shade Room (@theshaderoom) on Feb 20, 2019 at 4:16pm PST Neely, the ex-wife of the Houston Astros owner Jim Crane, inherited $30 million from their divorce. Anja can be heard screaming on the footage as Neely curses and attempts to move their setup before slapping the father’s camera away. ‘About 35 minutes into our 1hr shoot we heard a voice shouting in our direction – and when we turned to look it was this woman rolling up in her car, shouting through her window: “You are trampling the grass that WE pay for”,” the Allens told Click2Houston . According to the couple, she was yelling things like, “You’re trampling the grass, that we pay for, you need to leave,’ even though we were on the walkway talking the picture.” She continued to complain they were on private property. “(She was) very aggressive, in our face. It was escalating to the point where my wife suggested I start recording.” Apparently there were other photographers taking photos in the area. “It was pretty quiet. There were some other photographers taking pictures, people walking their dogs, couples, so it was pretty peaceful, pretty quiet,” Allen said. “A lot of people said, ‘Cute baby.’ They were smiling, that sort of thing.” What was supposed to be a joyous occasion turned terrible, but we have a feeling this family can expect a big pay day soon thanks to Neely. That $30 million will come in handy. RELATED STORIES: #PermitPatty: White Woman Calls Police on 8-Year-Old Black Girl Selling Water Oakland Has Another Message For ‘BBQ Becky’

Amanda Seales Accuses Ex-NFL Player Turned Harvard Neurosurgeon Of Sexual Harassment

More here:

Source: Leon Bennett / Getty Via  Madamenoire : Amanda Seales   just used her social media to reveal she was the victim of sexual harassment, naming  Myron Rolle , an  ex-NFL  player turned  Harvard   neurosurgeon, as the subject of her accusation.   During a recent interview and again on her podcasts, Small Doses, Seales talked about an encounter where she claims she received disturbing direct messages from an unnamed source. On Monday, Seales used her InstaStories to explain why she chose to come forward. I, on my podcast, um and on ‘The Breakfast Club,’ spoke about an individual who had approached me on the Internet and we spoke on the phone, and, uhh they said some troubling things in the conversation that made me take a step back.” Seales said she was instantly made aware the Rolle had a separate encounter with another woman, who says he greeted her at the door of his hotel room with no clothes on and then made her feel uncomfortable about her reaction. Seales says as of Monday, a total of eight women have come forward to reveal troubling behavior. “When I spoke about him on my podcast and on ‘The Breakfast Club,’ I didn’t say his name. I literally just said a couple of characteristics about him and it has been shocking and incredibly discomforting to me, how many women, 8 as of tonight, that have come forward to say his name. And that he had been incredibly problematic and behaved in a very sexually predatorial way that could have gotten him fired. I say all that to say, if you are approached by Myron Rolle, you should just be mindful,” she said in closing. Rolle is a 32-year-old Harvard Medical School resident who initially began his career in the limelight after he was drafted to the NFL in 2010 as a member of the Tennessee Titans. In a 2017 interview with CNN, Rolle said his trajectory to explore medicine began when he read Ben Carson’s autobiography, “Gifted Hands.” After graduating from Florida State University, he postponed his NFL career to attend Oxford University as a Rhodes Scholar. For Seales, this is the second time she reported contact with a prominent male harasser. In 2017, she retold an uncomfortable tale where Russell Simmons asked if the two had ever “f—–d.”

“Leaving Neverland” Director Speaks On Graphic Content & Michael Jackson’s Death

The rest is here:

Some say let the dead rest. Others say that truth will always come to the light. What do you think? Via | HotNewHipHop The disturbing details were essential, according to Dan Reed. Leaving Neverland ‘s  first trailer  dropped earlier this week reviving questions about its filmmaker’s intentions. The documentary’s director, Dan Reed, recently gave an  interview  in anticipation of these concerns. He discussed the impact of Michael Jackson’s death on the film and explained why the inclusion of graphic details was essential to the narrative.”It may have been more difficult to make if he were alive today,” Reed stated. “People are still very much afraid of Jackson and his lawyers. As I went around speaking to people who were associated with the investigations, they were afraid of Jackson’s people’s ability to shut down a lot of the victims. They employ unscrupulous PIs, and are very litigious. The power of his machine is very terrifying.” READ MORE

Jussie Smollett Turns Himself In Over Disorderly Conduct Charge

Read the original here:

Source: Xilla Valentine / GlobalGrind Hours after being charged with felony disorderly conduct for filing a false police report, Jussie Smollett turned himself in to Chicago PD early Thursday morning, another twist in the now bizarre case following his alleged assault by two men on January 29. “Jussie [Smollett] is under arrest and in custody of detectives,” CPD spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi announced Thursday morning, adding that a press briefing is expected shortly ahead of Smollett’s court appearance. In a separate  statement , CPD deputy director of news affairs Tom Ahern further specified that Smollett was in the custody of detectives. Press Briefing: Jussie Smollet is under arrest and in custody of detectives. At 9am at #ChicagoPolice Headquarters, Supt Eddie Johnson, Commander of Area Central Detectives Edward Wodnicki will brief reporters on the investigation prior to the defendants appearance in court. pic.twitter.com/YonrLkc724 — Chicago Police (@Chicago_Police) February 21, 2019 Smollett alleged that two white men beat him, poured bleach on him and placed a noose around his neck while screaming, “This is MAGA country!” But as details continued to emerge and CPD continued their investigation, the story became too crazy to be believed, even by Empire standards. As the story unfolded, it turned out that it was two brothers, Ola and Abel Osundairo who were Smollett’s “attackers”. They were not white but actually Nigerian and formerly worked as extras on the show. Yesterday, a video emerged of the Osundairo brothers caught on surveillance video purchasing some of the items that were used in the “attack”. Smollett has continued to cooperate with the police during the investigation but spoke publicly about the incident to both  Good Morning America and in concert in Los Angeles where he told a crowd that he “ fought the f*ck back ” and jokingly referred to himself as “ the gay 2Pac .” The felony charge of disorderly conduct for filing a false report carries a maximum sentence of up to three years in prison. New York City Releases An Anti-Hair Discrimination Guideline For People of Color

Follow this link:

Source: Rushay Booysen / EyeEm / Getty The days of straightening your hair or removing your braids before an interview are officially over. New York City just released their new anti-hair discrimination guidelines that will prohibit schools and employers from denying opportunities to others based on the style of their hair. This is a monumental moment for people of color everywhere who’ve lived in fear that their natural hair had to be altered to fit in a professional setting. The very powerful guideline accurately depicts the experience most people of color have and how they’re experienced in the world. The legal guidance begins with, “ Anti-Black racism is an invidious and persistent form of discrimination across the nation and in New York City. Anti-Black racism can be explicit and implicit, individual and structural, and it can manifest through entrenched stereotypes and biases, conscious and unconscious. Anti-Black bias also includes discrimination based on characteristics and cultural practices associated with being Black, including prohibitions on natural hair or hairstyles most closely associated with Black people. 1 Bans or restrictions on natural hair or hairstyles associated with Black people are often rooted in white standards of appearance and perpetuate racist stereotypes that Black hairstyles are unprofessional. Such policies exacerbate anti-Black bias in employment, at school, while playing sports, and in other areas of daily living .” While it is sad that we live in a time where something like this has to be put into place, I am thankful that it happened. Over the last couple of years we’ve watched school children be refused from attending school, participating in special sports activities and people being told that they’d have to change their hair to complete their work. This kind of behavior teaches children that there is something wrong with their natural hair. We want to change the narrative from self-hate to self-love. Now, cases of discrimination can be met with legal action if they refuse someone’s rights or privilege because of their hair style. These small victories remind me of what it may have felt like when people of color slowly earned normalized rights like co-existing in the same space as a white person. In 2019, we are still fighting to have the same privilege as our white counterparts. Kudos to New York City for taking a stand for us but what about the rest of America? There are countless cases about people of color being fired from work or discriminated against in school because of their hairstyles. Just last April, a black woman was let go from her job because she refused to cut her loccs. When she took the employer to court, she learned that federal law protects people from discrimination based on immutable characteristics, but not their cultural practices, thus losing her case. New York may have won this battle, but we’re still fighting the war for equality. Source: Kevin Mazur / Getty It’s no secret LeBron James loves Hip-Hop, and 2 Chainz loves basketball , so this union makes perfect sense. Tuesday (Feb.19) Def Jam announced the two will come together with the hoop star serving as A&R for the rapper formerly known as Titty Boi’s 5th studio album, Rap or Go To The League. It’s been quite the journey to get here. All night studio sessions, reflecting, & opening up on these records or as I call it therapy! This is my each one teach one body of work, I wanna celebrate black excellence! ….. “Rap Or Go To The League” the album A&R by @KingJames 3/1 pic.twitter.com/08Y2fYKJ6X — Tity Boi (2 Chainz) (@2chainz) February 19, 2019 While the news came as a surprise to everyone, this whole situation sounds perfect. A&R Bron as he is affectionately known as now due to his social clips of himself vibing out to the latest Hip-Hop releases was tapped by 2 Chainz to curate the album due out March 1. Def Jam describes the project as the rapper’s “most personal, most lyrical, most soulful to date,” that will focus on the trope that the only way inner-city youth can get out of the hood is either by hooping or rapping hence the title Rap or Go To The League . 2 Chainz is the perfect person to tell this story on wax because he was also a pretty good basketball player earning a full ride to Alabama State University and graduating at the top of his class before hopping in recording booths. Rap or Go To The League is his latest album since his well-received platinum LP Pretty Girls Like Trap Music that featured hits like “4 AM” featuring Travis Scott, the Ty Dolla $ign, Trey Songz and Jhene Aiko assisted track “It’s A Vibe” just to a name a few. We can’t wait to hear the album and to see if Bron’s A&R skills are on par with his basketball skills. — Photo: Kevin Mazur / Getty
