Eminem Calls Out Netflix For Canceling ‘The Punisher’

Source: Patrick Harbron / Patrick Harbron/Netflix It’s starting to look like the only villain that Marvel’s superheroes can’t possibly defeat is that dreaded Netflix cancelation. After having canceled fan favorite shows Luke Cage and Daredevil  last year, Netflix started off 2019 by putting The Punisher to sleep and giving Jessica Jones her walking papers. Though the second season of The Punisher left much to be desired, fans still had hope that it would get a chance at redemption in a third season. It will not and everyone is tight. Amongst those upset that Frank Castle won’t be swiss cheesing up anymore bad guys for the foreseeable future was Slim Shady himself and he took to Twitter to voice his displeasure with Netflix’s decision. DEAR @NETFLIX , REGARDING YOUR CANCELLATION OF THE PUNISHER, YOU ARE BLOWING IT!! SINCERELY, MARSHALL — Marshall Mathers (@Eminem) February 21, 2019 No “F” bombs, Em? Wow, you really have grown. This latest cancelation hurts just as bad as Daredevil ‘s being that the show’s writers let it be known that Wilson “Kingpin” Fisk was supposed to be the Punisher’s primary villain in season three. That is exactly what fans have been waiting for since the two crossed paths in the second season of Daredevil . But Netflix said “Nah.” Though there’s a real good possibility that the canceled shows will find new life in Disney’s upcoming streaming service Disney+, there is a clause in Marvel’s agreement with Netflix that shows canceled by the company can’t be taken anywhere else for a few years . So there’s that. Luckily The Punisher doesn’t fall under that umbrella but would Disney invest in a show where blood and violence is its calling card? Guess we’ll have to wait to find out. — Photo: WENN.com

Josh & Anna Duggar Celebrate Wedding Aniversary, Get Slammed By Fans

It’s been two years since the world learned that Josh Duggar molested four of his sisters and one other minor. For obvious reasons, the Duggars have been eager to sweep that shocking scandal under the rug, but thankfully, some vigilant former fans aren’t allowing them to do so. In keeping with the promise they made to TLC, the Duggars have not brought Josh on Counting On , the reality series they launched after 19 Kids and Counting was canceled due to advertisers cutting ties with the network in disgust. But the Duggars certainly haven’t given up on helping Josh earn a pardon for his crimes in the court of public opinion. Every time Josh and wife Anna mark a new milestone, the Duggars use it as an opportunity to rebuild Josh’s public image. Earlier this month,  Anna welcomed her fifth child , and the Duggars posted photos of the happy couple all over their social media pages in hopes of garnering a favorable response from fans. The photos were quickly removed after fans expressed their displeasure. But now the Duggars are rallying behind Josh again – and receiving the same predictable results. Jim Bob and Michelle posted the above throwback photo in celebration of Josh and Anna’s ninth wedding anniversary this week. “Happy Anniversary Josh and Anna,” the caption read. “We love you both so much and are so thankful for God’s grace and love in your lives. We pray He will be with you as you follow Him. Love, Mom & Dad PS–We are also thankful for the beautiful legacy of five wonderful grandchildren!!” Needless to say, fans didn’t share those warm feelings: “There is no way I could stay married to this man let alone have more children with him!,” wrote one follower., referencing the recent birth of Josh and Anna’s fifth child. “I live [sic] the Duggar family’s and the shows but it disgusts me to even hear anything about Josh .. to me Anna is staying against her will .. she’s staying because of his and her family’s ..so sad,” she added. “Dudes, again, your son has major issues,” commented another fan. “Parading him and his family in the public eye just makes people feel terrible. It’s too soon. “For the sake of his recovery, his wife and the rest of your family it might be best to keep your love and support private for now. I’m sure they don’t need the inevitable negativity. Their family has suffered enough from being in the public eye.” Some followers were even more blunt, making it clear that their anger toward Josh for his appalling misdeeds will never dissipate: “Ugh he’s such a smug arrogant a–hole. I go back and forth being angry at her and feeling so badly for her,” another wrote. “What a mess. She – and especially their children! – don’t deserve all of this.” We’d say they’ve probably learned their lesson from this incident, but this is the Duggars we’re talking about – they never learn from anything! Dirty Game: Kenyan Olympians Forced To Live In Dangerous Favelas Because Their Country Is Too Cheap To Fly Them Home

Kenyan Olympic Competitors Stuck In Rio Over Country’s Cheap Ways Yahoo! Sports is reporting some pretty disturbing post-Olympic news about our Kenyan brothers who competed their hearts out in Rio… Unbeliable this is where the rest of kenyan team will spend their night today, after olympic village is closed! pic.twitter.com/h548Ds753g — Hon wesley korir (@weskorir) August 24, 2016 As Olympians across the globe were welcomed home to massive celebrations this week, Kenya’s Olympic team remained in Rio de Janeiro while their country awaited cheaper flights out of Brazil. Those are the charges Team Kenya captain Wesley Korir laid out in a series of Twitter posts. With photos and video, the marathoner described dangerous living conditions — complete with gunshots — in Rio favela accommodations arranged by Kenyan officials, now that the Olympic Village is closed. With the exception of Olympic champion Eliud Kipchoge, who provided his own transportation home, Kenya’s entire marathon contingent stayed in the favela on Wednesday night, along with a group that included race walkers, boxers and 800-meter bronze medalist Margaret Wambui, according to Korir. “The best team in Africa and the second-best all over the world in athletics, and this is how they treat us,” Korir wrote on Twitter. He added, “They looked for cheap flights. I guess 25th was the cheapest.” Asked if he was still in Rio overnight, despite voicing his displeasure on Twitter and arguing with Kenyan officials in Brazil over their room and board, Korir, who is also an elected Member of Parliament in Kenya, told his followers, “3 a.m. and can’t sleep. Had to stay until all athletes leave. … There have been gunshots heard all night, messages being sent for athletes to stay indoors.” And the drama continues in rio for #TeamKenya @citizentvkenya @UKenyatta this team kenya home for tonight !! pic.twitter.com/NE4UiAf5n3 — Hon wesley korir (@weskorir) August 24, 2016 How f***ing sad is THAT? Ghostface Killah Threatens Action Bronson: I’ll Make You Disappear!

Feuds are a regular part of many hip hop careers, but most of the time it's easy to see the beef coming. Biggie and Tupac got caught up in the whole East Coast vs. West Coast ugliness. Iggy Azalea and Azealia Banks fought over the rights to their remarkably similar names. The latest intense spat – this one between Action Bronson and Chostface Killah –  is a little more unexpected, however, as Bronson has repeatedly called Ghost one of his favorite rappers. The similarity in the emcees voices and song stylings has been pointed out by several critics, and Bronson addressed the comparison while appearing on Sportsnation today, saying it was an honor to be likened to “one of the greats.” Unfortunately, he then added, “He's not rapping like this no more.” That's when Ghost took to YouTube to express his displeasure: “You're gonna have to learn to watch what you say,” says Ghosty. “I guess you've never been taught that, because you not a real n–ga.” And from there he's off, referring to the portly Bronson as a “fat f–k,” threatening to set his beard on fire, and making frighteningly specific threats that could have the Wu-Tang legend facing criminal charges. “Doing 25 years over rap music…it don't really sound too good, right? But I got shooters that'll do that. And those shooters are not from New York. “You done made a mistake, boy. You done f–ked up. I've been a lot of places, seen a lot of places. I got those type of n–gas that do disappearing acts in all 50 states. Needless, to say, Ghost is less than pleased with the young up-and-comer, and Bronson handled the situation in the best way possible – by issuing a public apology: “When ur wrong ur wrong and I was wrong,” Bronson tweeted earlier today. “I apologize for the comments.” Something tells us that might not be enough for Mr. Killah.

Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar Successfully Help Overturn Anti-Discrimination Law

Back in August, Michelle Duggar helped fight an anti-discrimination bill in her hometown of Fayetteville, Arkansas by lending her voice to a robo-calling campaign urging residents to express their displeasure with Ordinance 119. The ordinance was designed to prevent businesses and landlords from discriminating against potential employees and tenants on the basis of race, gender, religion, or sexual orientation. Michelle’s robo-calls stated that the bill would enable “males with past child predator convictions” to “enter private areas that are reserved for women and girls.” In addition to lending their names and celebrity status to the efforts to have the bill overturned, Michelle and Jim Bob donated $10,000 each to politicians who pledged to fight Ordinance 119. Earlier today, the bill was overturned in the Arkansas state senate by a narrow margin of 52-48. The Duggars involvement in fighting the ordinance resulted in an accusations of “LGBTQ fear-mongering,” and a popular petition to have 19 Kids and Counting canceled , due to perceived hate speech. Michelle launched a counter-petition to save the show, but given the Duggars growing popularity, it’s unlikely that TLC ever seriously considered axing what’s slowly become the network’s flagship series. Of course, there’s no way of knowing if the bill would have been overturned without the Duggars’ intervention, but given how close the final vote was, this seems to be yet another indication of the family’s growing political influence. Watch 19 Kids and Counting online to see how it all started for the simple family from Arkansas. SO Many Duggars 1. Harry Styles Rocks Michael Sam Jersey on Stage in St. Louis

Many have expressed their displeasure with ESPN’s coverage of Michael Sam and his upcoming NFL regular season debut. They feel the network is devoting too much time to speculating about Sam’s locker room interactions with his teammates, and unfairly focusing on his sexual preference over his gameplay.  It remains a matter of controversy that’s divided the online community. But one thing tweeters and comment boards haters across the web can hopefully agree on is that when Harry Styles uses his considerable influence to lend support to Sam – and by extension the LGBT community – it’s pretty cool. That’s Harry sporting a Sam jersey during the One Direction concert in St. Louis last night. The wardrobe decision has caught the attention of fans worldwide, and both Sam and the Rams tweeted their thanks to Harry after the show. While the 1D official Twitter page had to fill fans in on who Sam is (both Brits and tweenage girls tend to fall outside of the NFL’s demographic range), once word got out about Harry’s subtle show of support, the perennial fan favorite received more onlone love than even he’s accustomed to. In fact, you’d have to go back to the time Styles posted a naked photo to Instagram to find an occasion in which more 1D fans squealed with delight. And to think – Sam’s jersey was one of the league’s best-sellers before it received the Styles seal of approval. 20 Brilliant Photos of Harry Styles 1. Mara Wilson: Mrs. Doubtfire Sequel Will Suck

Former child star Mara Wilson quit acting more than a decade ago, but with the announcement of a Mrs. Doubtfire sequel , the now 26-year-old writer felt the need to clarify that she will not be reprising her role as Natalie Hillard. “For the record, no, I do not have anything to do with the Mrs. Doubtfire sequel, nor will I,” Wilson tweeted today as the forthcoming film became a trending topic.  It stands to reason that the press-shy Wilson would want to preemptively deflect any questions from journalists or fans. What makes less sense, however, is Wilson’s follow-up tweet, which trashed the notion of sequels, and by extension, Mrs. Doubtfire 2 : “Sequels generally suck unless they were planned as part of a trilogy or series. I think Doubtfire ended where it needed to.” While we agree that sequels are generally lame, there are certainly exceptions to the rule ( Godfather 2 , anyone?) and it seems strange that Wilson would feel the need to throw shade on a project that’s sure to feature many of her former colleagues. So now that we know how Mara Wilson feels about the Mrs. Doubtfire  sequel, what do you think? Sure, it’s not as exciting as the idea of a Big Lebowski sequel , but it’s still pretty cool. Will you go see the Mrs. Doubtfire sequel?   Yes, can’t wait! No way! Mrs. Who-fire?!? View Poll »

James Franco Calls New York Times Critic "Little B!tch"

Oh, James Franco. Does your ability to involve yourself in weird scandals know no bounds? Fresh off his scandalous flirtation with teenager Lucy Clode , Franco finds himself at the center of another controversy – this one involving his personal attack of New York Times theater critic Ben Brantley.  The Times published a review of Brantley’s that featured some extremely negative comments about Franco’s performance in the Broadway revival of the play Of Mice and Men , and the temperamental actor quickly took to Twitter to express his displeasure. “SADLY BEN BRANTLEY AND NYT EMBARASSED THEMSELVES,” Franco tweeted (yes, he’s adopted the Kanye-style all-caps approach to online expression). “BRANTLEY IS SUCH A LITTLE B!TCH HE SHOULD BE WORKING FOR GAWKER.COM INSTEAD OF THE PAPER OF RECORD. THE THEATER COMMUNITY HATES HIM, and for good reason HE’s an idiot.” Harsh words. But in case you were wondering, Brantley didn’t exactly hold back on Franco in his review: “Though he sports a Yosemite Sam accent,” Brantley wrote. “Mr. Franco is understated to the point of near invisibility.” Also harsh words! But the difference is – Ben Brantley is a critic who said negative things about Franco’s performance .  On the other hand, Franco is douchebag who attacked Brantley as a person . See the difference? Remember last week when Franco said he planned to stay off social media altogether? Maybe he should’ve stuck with that idea.
