Kanye’s T-shirts were part of the launch of Blexit.com “We Free” website for those who have “released themselves from the political orthodoxy” of belonging to the Democratic Party. Among the site’s slanted offerings, it suggests that the Ku Klux Klan was not so racist after all. “Blexit is a renaissance and I am blessed to say that this logo, these colors, were created by my dear friend and fellow superhero Kanye West,” said TPUSA’s Communications Director Candace Owens . Tonight @RealCandaceO announced her national movement of minorities with hundreds of young leaders from around the nation that have awakened to the truth. It’s called #BLEXIT . Check it out at https://t.co/rmprsYuzmV pic.twitter.com/ATHcbG3rjk — Jonathan Williams (@jwphotographyaz) October 28, 2018 Trump is continuing his efforts, which began during the 2016 presidential campaign, to convince Black people to join the Republican Party. He infamously asked African-Americans  on the campaign trail “what the hell do you have to lose,” by parting ways with the Democrats. His support of neo-Nazi thugs in Charlottesville and hateful rhetoric that attracts white supremacists to his “make America great again” movement are persuasive arguments against jumping on the Trump political bandwagon. Plans for a nationwide Blexit tour are underway, Owens announced. In 2019, tour stops will include Chicago and Philadelphia. “The Blexit movement will spend 2019 holding rallies in every major city in America that the Democrats have destroyed,” she added. O ver a century ago Ethel Tremaine Robinson and Inman Edward Page broke racial barriers at Brown University by becoming some of the first Black students to graduate from the institution. Now, the two will be honored by the Ivy League school with a building named after them, the Journal of Blacks in Higher Education reported. To celebrate the legacies of two pioneering black graduates, Brown University will rename its J. Walter Wilson Building in recognition of Inman Edward Page and Ethel Tremaine Robinson. #BrownBAR18 https://t.co/R5PhpiPy10 — Brown University (@BrownUniversity) September 23, 2018 The university will rename the J. Walter Wilson Building—which sits in a central part of campus—to pay homage to Robinson and Page, the news outlet writes. The building, which opened 56 years ago, initially housed life science laboratories. A few years ago, after being renovated, it transformed into a space where students can get a range of different services; spanning from financial aid help to mail services. Both Robinson and Page made their marks in the realm of education respectively. Robinson led literature and English courses at Howard University and guided one of her students to help her launch Alpha Kappa Alpha which is the country’s first Black sorority. Page went on to serve as president at historically Black colleges and universities, including the Lincoln Institute, the Agricultural and Normal University, Roger Williams University, and Western Baptist College. “Inman Page was born into slavery, sought liberty and opportunity and found them at Brown — and he saw the power of education to cultivate the innate ‘genius’ in everyone,” Brown University President Christina Paxson said in a statement, according to the news outlet. “Ethel Robinson broke a color barrier and a glass ceiling when she graduated from Brown in 1905. Together, these two pioneers embodied the faith in learning, knowledge and understanding that has animated Brown for generations.” The building is slated to be officially renamed in 2019. The news surrounding the renaming of the building comes just weeks after it was announced that students and faculty at the University of Mississippi are leading an effort to rename their journalism school after Civil Rights advocate, journalist, and educator Ida B. Wells-Barnett . SEE ALSO: Ole Miss Faculty, Students Fight To Have Journalism School Renamed After Ida B. Golden State Warriors Reach A New Level Of Petty By Kicking Off The #FergieRemixChallenge

Source: Allen Berezovsky / Getty Do you remember when Fergie performed an unbearable rendition of the National Anthem  earlier this year? It was at the NBA All Star Game in February and it was interesting to say the least. It was a little bit jazz, a little bit scat, and a lot of a hot mess. It was so bad that celebrities and NBA players couldn’t hold in their laughter. Literally, everyone in the building was in shambles and it really wasn’t their fault. It was a bad performance. Even Jimmy Kimmel had to apologize for laughing. The good things that came out of all of this were the endless memes and the awesome remix from RemixGodSuede . Now, eight months later, long after we thought we had completely forgotten all about this flop of an anthem, Fergie’s ex-husband, Josh Duhamel, brings it back up. In an interview with Kristine Leahy’s Fair Game , Josh Duhamel came for Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors, referring to him as a “prick” and demanding that he apologize to Fergie for laughing at her eight months ago. “The thing that made me upset was that she was taking a lot of really cruel comments. People were really trolling,” Duhamel said. “I was pissed off at Draymond Green first of all. I thought he owed her an apology. I thought he was kind of a prick.” When asked why Duhamel targeted Draymond specifically, he said, “Just because he knew the camera was on him and he kind of snickered about it. I just thought that, if he were to be a real man he would have at least called her and said ‘Listen, I’m sorry that I caused all this.’ That’s what a real man would have done in my opinion.” Welcome to #NBATwitter Josh Duhamel. #DraymondGreen On today's @FairGameonFS1 at 5:30pm ET. pic.twitter.com/Zz0P6bsKlh — Kristine Leahy (@KristineLeahy) October 25, 2018 Well, if Josh Duhamel was looking for a reaction out of Draymond Green, he certainly got one. In fact, he got one from the entire Warriors team. The Golden State Warriors took a little free time to jump off their very own viral challenge in the locker room — the #FergieRemixChallenge. They’ve taken RemixGodSuede’s catchy National Anthem remix and brought new life to it. Steph Curry, Draymond Green, Kevin Durant and the rest of the squad responded to Duhamel with this gem. Oh, but the pettiness didn’t stop there. The challenge is officially on. Even Snoop Dogg had to get in on it!   Josh Duhamel caught wind of the new challenge and took his L in stride. Rihanna And Colin Kaepernick To Reportedly Team Up For Social Justice Project

Read more here:

S everal celebrities have shown their solidarity with football player Colin Kaepernick as he fights to spread awareness about social injustice. After songstress Rihanna turned down an offer to perform at the 2019 Superbowl to display her support for Kaepernick, she has decided to take her activism efforts a step further and partner with him on a new project, Metro UK reported. Reports say that Rihanna is in discussions to have Keapernick feature in a new music video addressing social justice reform! Both are such powerful leaders in their own lanes, it only makes sense after turning down the superbowl! https://t.co/7yqXanEOij — EBONY MAGAZINE (@EBONYMag) October 24, 2018 According to the news outlet, the two are going to collaborate on a project that intertwines social justice reform and music. Some believe they will create a music video to convey a powerful message about the injustices that exist within our country. “Colin was overwhelmed when he found out Rihanna turned down the Super Bowl to stand with him in his protest against anti-black violence and injustices,” a source told the news outlet. “They’re both leaders in their lanes and believe they have the power to inspire positive change in a fun and powerful way.” It’s evident that Kaepernick’s brave decision to stay true to what he believes in despite it impacting his career, has exceeded the realm of sports and pushed this important conversation about injustice to the forefront of other areas, including fashion, entertainment and now music. “Racialized oppression and dehumanization is woven into the very fabric of our nation — the effects of which can be seen in the lawful lynching of black and brown people by the police, and the mass incarceration of black and brown lives in the prison industrial complex,” said Kaepernick while accepting an award from Amnesty International earlier this year. “How can you stand for the national anthem of a nation that preaches and propagates, ‘freedom and justice for all,’ that is so unjust to so many of the people living there?” The news about a potential collaboration between Rihanna and Kaepernick comes just weeks after he received the W.E.B. Du Bois medal for his kneeling protests and continued effort to bring awareness to the issues faced by the Black community. See more here:

M ogul Sean Diddy Combs has been a fierce advocate for adequate education in underserved communities. Nearly a year after opening a charter school in his hometown Harlem, he recently announced that he will donate $1 million for the creation of a school in the Bronx, Variety reported. Sean ' @Diddy ' Combs Pledges $1 Million to Fund New School in the Bronx https://t.co/6yOEdZLEIn — Variety (@Variety) October 24, 2018 The school—which will be a part of the Capital Preparatory Schools—is the charter school’s third location, the news outlet writes. There are currently two schools in Connecticut and New York which serves students in grades Kindergarten through 12. All of the students—many of whom are from low-income households and are the first to go to college in their families—have gone on to further their education at post-secondary schools. Capital Prep Bronx, which is slated to open its doors during the fall of next year, will start off by accepting nearly 200 6th and 7th grade students and aims to serve 650 students over the first five years. This educational initiative is being spearheaded by educator Dr. Steve Perry . “Mr. Combs wanted to open schools to develop leaders. What he’s done with his investment is embody what we expect students to do, which is to invest their resources in our communities,” Dr. Perry told the news outlet. He added that the students, faculty and parents are grateful for his donation and that Combs’ commitment to leveling the playing field when it comes to quality education is inspirational. Combs says using his platform and resources to push education forward is something that’s personal to him. “I came from the same environment these kids live in every day,” he said. “I understand the importance of access to a great education, and the critical role it plays in a child’s future. Our school provides historically disadvantaged students with the college and career skills needed to become responsible and engaged citizens for social justice.” Combs isn’t the only celebrity that is advocating for education in his hometown. Earlier this year, Will Smith was honored with a larger than life mural in Philadelphia and now he’s selling merchandise that features the mural imagery to raise money for a local school. Email Submit An Atlanta woman named Symone Davis has come forward and she’s alleging that NeNe’s son Bryson Bryant is the father of her 1-year-old. Symone reached out to RadarOnline and she’s BIG mad that the reality TV grandma couldn’t care less about her alleged grandbaby. According to Symone, NeNe thinks she’s an “opportunist” and won’t pay the child, Blaze Kai Davis, any mind. “It’s so sad, she wants nothing to do with her grandson,” Davis, 27, told Radar. “She’s so selfish, and only cares about herself and her fame.” SEE ALSO:  NeNe Leakes Husband Gregg Diagnosed With Cancer “Nene wants to keep my baby a secret,” Davis continued. “She has some nerve, and told me she thinks I’m an opportunist and that she doesn’t want me to have any fame from her name. It’s crazy because I used to like her and be cool with her. I’ve been to her house, we’ve partied together. She was cool at first but now that I’ve had a baby by her son, she switched up.” Symone’s claiming that she’s tried for months to get Bryant to pay child support for the little boy to no avail so now she’d like NeNe to pick up the slack. “Nene needs to humble herself,” Davis said. “She didn’t come from money, and now that she has some, she’s so full of herself. I would love for her to have a relationship with her grandson, but I think it’s past that. She’s mean and she’s not happy.” Symone was also recently a guest on The Armon Wiggins Show  where she put NeNe on full blast. Bryson’s alleged baby mama claims that she and NeNe were cordial, had dinner together (and got drunk) but everything changed after she got pregnant. In addition, Symone made allegations that Bryson uses cocaine and she’s had to send him money. At one point a Leakes “family friend” calls in and blasts Symone. The friend alleges that Symone is money-hungry and lying, and addicted to cocaine.
