So much so that his inclusion to the highly anticipated The Defenders  and his important to the overall plot ruined the superhero team-up for many fans. Yeah his appearance in the second season of Luke Cage was cool but it wasn’t enough to erase the damage already done in the minds of Marvel fans. But if you thought your online outrage would be enough to convince Marvel and Netflix to pull the plug on the billionaire street vigilante, you’re wrong. Netflix has dropped their first teaser trailer for the second season to Marvel’s Iron Fist and hopefully they’ll get it right this time. Gone are the annoying curly locks of blond hair and in is the more standard rich Manhattanite white guy hairdo. While all we get to see is Danny Rand a.k.a. Iron Fist (Finn Jones) take on some bad guys in an alley, according to io9  the Marvel panel at San Diego’s Comic Con showed some pretty great footage of the upcoming season. One scene, in particular, finds Danny and Davos in K’un-Lun (in a flashback) during one of their final tests to decide which of them is worthy of facing off against Shou-Lao. After donning masks reminiscent of Iron Fist’s from the comics, the two students are bound together with a long belt and made to beat the everliving hell out of each another until one of them yields. As brutal and bloody as the face-off is, it’s also fluid and elegant in a way that feels fresh, new, and exactly like what you want from Iron Fist. As for the overall theme of season two, Marvel’s Jeph Loeb explained the road that Danny Rand would be traveling. Marvel’s Jeph Loeb explained that fighting alongside Matt Murdock in The Defenders is ultimately what inspires Danny to use his Iron Fist abilities to become a proper street-level vigilante. Though the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen might not make an appearance in Iron Fist’s second season, his influence on Danny’s going to play a huge role is in the show’s plot. Sounds better than anything in season one already. The second season of Iron Fist will be streaming on Netflix starting September 7th. Will you be interested in giving Danny Rand a second chance or nah? Let us know.

According To Kid Cudi, More Collab Albums With Kanye West Are In The Works

See the original post:

Source: Getty Last month,  Kid Cudi  and  Kanye West  finally released their highly anticipated collaboration album,  Kids See Ghosts.  Many people were struck with feelings of wanting more, since the seven-track project spanned just under 30 minutes–but if the project left you yearning for music, you’re in luck. The longtime friends and collaborators may have even more in store for fans. In his recent cover story with  Billboard ( published on Thursday, July 19), Cudi detailed his plans to create more albums in the same vein as his most recent effort with Kanye. “There are some songs that we didn’t use that I’m hopeful we can put out later. But the plan is to do more  Kids See Ghosts  albums,” Cudder revealed. He also speaks on the fact that he thinks him and West will always produce “awesome sh*t” together. “We just have this chemistry that’s undeniable, especially when we have to fight for it with each other,” he continued, adding that  Kids See Ghosts  took “a little over a year-and-a-half to just get it tight,” though the songwriting itself wasn’t difficult. “It’s really easy for us,”  he added. Also in the candid interview, Kid Cudi dishes on his time he spent in Wyoming creating the album, particularly commenting on his moments with Nas who also delivered a seven-track project this summer.  “It was really cool to be around Nas. That was the illest. We’d be chilling in the room, and then Nas would leave and we’d be like, ‘That’s fucking Nas.’ We’d be asking him questions about coming up in Queens, did he know Biggie , all these questions,” Cudi said excitedly. He continued, “I had a ball out there, man. Kanye had his family around. He had his dad there. And we knew what songs we wanted to use. We had ‘Reborn.’ We had ‘4th Dimension.’ We just took our time fine-tuning the process.” You can read Kid Cudi’s entire interview and cover story with Billboard here . Hopefully, more details regarding Cudi and Ye’s future music surfaces sooner than later.

Jay Z Rips Into The Mayor Of Philadelphia For Moving ‘Made In America’ And He Responds

Continue reading here:

J ay Z ‘s Made In America is one of the most popular music festivals in the country. However, this year will be its last at the Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia, because the mayor pulled the plug on the location, claiming it was too expensive, even though Roc Nation covered approximately half the costs. However, Jay Z is not happy and wrote a biting piece in The Philadelphia Inquirer , ripping into Mayor Jim Kenney , who quickly responded. See Also: Papa John’s CEO Resigns After Condemning NFL Anthem Protests Jay accused the mayor of evicting the event “through a media outlet, without a sit-down meeting, notice, dialogue, or proper communication.” He said, “It signifies zero appreciation for what Made In America has built alongside the phenomenal citizens of this city. In fact, this administration immediately greeted us with a legal letter trying to stop the 2018 event.” The festival was also a huge boost to Philadelphia’s economy, according to Jay, “Since 2012, Made in America, one of the only minority-owned festivals, has had a positive $102.8 million economic impact to Philadelphia, and the festival has paid $3.4 million in rent to the city. Made in America employs more than 1,000 Philadelphians each day and 85 percent of our partners are Philadelphia-based companies.” Jay also insinuated that race was a factor, “We consider this stance a failure on the mayor’s part. Is this an accurate representation of how he and his administration treat partners that economically benefit his city? Do they regularly reject minority-owned businesses that want to continue to thrive and grow alongside his city’s people?” Mayor Kenney responded via a statement , “The City of Philadelphia supports the  Made in America  festival and is greatly appreciative of all that it has done for Philadelphia. We are committed to its continued success and thank them for their partnership. We hope to be able to resolve what has been an unfortunate misunderstanding.  We are working with Roc Nation and Live Nation to resolve this issue and we are committed to continuing our partnership with the Made in America festival.” No word on where else Made in America will take place but judging from the passive statement above from the mayor, it might just stay at the Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia. Quavo & Takeoff Of Migos Slapped With Tax Liens

Read more here:

Source: FayesVision/WENN.com / WENN Although the Migos are among the top-earning rap groups in the game now, it looks like two members from the crew have kept some poor books over the years. Both Quavo and Takeoff were slapped with tax liens and combined the pair owe over $28,000. The Blast reports : On June 27, Quavo (real name: Quavious Marshall) was hit with a lien by Georgia state over unpaid 2016 taxes. The original amount owed was only $9k but has grown with interest/penalties to $14,055.06 That same day — yes, the actual same day —the Georgia Department of Revenue filed a separate lien against Takeoff (real name: Kirsnick Ball) for unpaid 2016 taxes totaling $14,348.23. The Migos have strong ties to the Peach State. The guys, who are all related, grew up together in Lawrenceville, GA and eventually formed the superstar hip-hop trio. Together, Quavo and Takeoff owe a total of $28,403.29, which shouldn’t be too hard for them to scrape together since, according to Forbes, the group pulls in $150k per tour stop. The gentlemen have yet to address the matter publicly but as the outlet noted, that should be light work for them to handle. — Photo: WENN

Azealia Banks Wants Wendy Williams To Die While On Air

See the rest here:

Source: WENNCHELLA/WENN.com / WENN Azealia Banks has the talent necessary to break out big in the music world, but she’s become infamous for her antics away from the microphone. After Wendy Williams spoke on the Harlem rapper’s recent Wild ‘N Out run-in and issues with Nick Cannon, Banks wrote in an Instagram story that she hopes the host dies on air. Page Six reports : “She seems to be smart, but angry. Her anger seems to be the problem,” Williams said on her show. “I’m not familiar with her music, I’m just familiar with her anger.” Banks must have heard about Williams’ comments because she said she wants the talk show host to “drop dead.” “Omg can Wendy Williams have another stroke on TV and finally drop dead?” Banks wrote on her Instagram story. “I would love to see her die on air.” Banks was referring to Williams’ health scare when she fainted on live TV in October, which she later revealed to be part of her Graves’ disease diagnosis. The outlet adds that Banks took down her Twitter account after getting blasted with criticism over her comments. Williams has yet to respond to Banks’ words. Billboard writer Michael Saponara posted the IG story screenshot via Twitter, which can be seen below. @WendyWilliams was the latest victim of a verbal assault from Azealia Banks pic.twitter.com/HYsHDPlPXG — Michael $ap (@LordTreeSap) July 17, 2018 — Photo: WENN
