Demi Lovato’s Mom Opens Up About Singer’s Overdose & Gives A Rehab Update [VIDEO]

Source: SplashNews.com / Splash News Two months ago  Demi Lovato was hospitalized for an apparent overdose and now her mother  Dianna de la Garza is  opening up about that tragic day. RELATED:  Demi Lovato Released From The Hospital, Currently In Rehab Dianna talked about her daughter’s OD for the first time Tuesday during an interview with Newsmax TV, where she revealed, it was touch-and-go for several days. “We got there as quickly as we could,” de la Garza said. “Dallas and Madison and I jumped out of the car at the emergency room and ran into the emergency room to be by her side. She just didn’t look good—at all. She was in bad shape. But I said to her, ‘Demi, I’m here. I love you.’ And at that point she said back to me, ‘I love you, too.’ “From that point on, I never allowed myself to ever think that things weren’t going to be OK,” she continued. “I prayed, of course, all the way to the hospital, and my faith is strong. I think that was one of things that got me through the next couple of days when she was in critical condition. We just didn’t know for two days if she was going to make it or not.” Since Demi suffered the OD in July, she has been released from the hospital and is currently back in rehab. Dianna ays Demi is doing very well in rehab and feeling happy and healthy. “She’s happy. She’s healthy. Thanks To Michael Che, This Is What Emmy Reparations Would Look Like

Source: ROBYN BECK / Getty Emmy night may have given us a lot of unfunny jokes and undeserving winners, BUT it did provide Black folks with one of the funniest pre-taped skits we’ve ever seen in the show’s history. Thanks to Saturday Night Live’s news anchor and Emmy co-host Michael Che , we got a chance to see what real reparations would look like for overlooked African-American actors who deserved the coveted Emmy over the years, but never received one. “You know, as a black comedian, for so many years, our TV legends and heroes have gone unrecognized,” Che said. “So this year as host, I took it upon myself to finally right some of those wrongs.” Taking it to the block, the 35-year-old passed out the gold to overlooked folks such as  T he Jeffersons ‘ Marla Gibbs . “Your role as Florence the maid is the reason I got fired form every service job I had,” Che declared. Gibbs quipped back, “Well thank you – I think.” Other Black icons, such as  Jimmy Walker ( Good Times ), Kadeem Hardison ( A Different World ), Jaleel White ( Family Matters ), Tichina Arnold ( Martin ), John Witherspoon ( T he Mayans Bros. ) and people from  The Wire were also included in these faux awards. Mother Turns In Son After Seeing Him On TV In Connection With Deadly Carjacking [VIDEO]

The story was all about a fatal carjacking that happened in the area of South West Atlanta. Email Submit Police believes Matthews was willing to do whatever the carjackers wanted, but they still killed him. Detective Ebony Johnson mentioned that the 15-year-old along with his mother turned himself in. She said, “It wasn’t necessary for them to take his life. They were in compliance. They were getting out of the vehicle at that point.” She is urging anyone with information to please come forward. Johnson said, “Think about it as being one of your family members that lost their life. You would want them to be brought to justice.” RELATED:  Mother Accused Of Killing The Father Of Her Kids And Taking Them A warrant has been issued for the second suspect and police need help identifying the third suspect. The mother of the victim mentioned that her son had not only started a new job, but just hours before his death called to wish her a happy birthday. He leaves behind two young kids. L ike no other presidential candidate in history, Donald   Trump showed us exactly who he was during his hateful and divisive campaign. From attacking everyone from gold star families to the late John McCain to the “grab them by the p***y” scandal — but some women still decided to vote for Trump. SEE ALSO: Texas Cop Shoots Unarmed Black Man For Entering His Own Truck In a CNN sit down with female Trump supporters, there were regrets expressed about their vote. A panelist named Ally Bross said, “It starts with talking about women’s face lifts, I think. It’s disrespectful. I think the majority of women, I don’t think that they see him as a respectful pro-woman kind of man, especially people my age. In my age demographic, it’s a huge deal that he is not supportive of easily accessible women’s healthcare in terms of Planned Parenthood.” Another panelist named Annie Anthony said, “My fear with President Trump is that his extramarital affairs will make it more of a norm, that the children will think this is acceptable behavior and it’s not — it’s hurtful behavior.” The only Black woman on the panel claimed she will still vote for Trump. The Latina on the panel said she voted for him because of her Christianity—which is illogical. Trump’s immoral behavior was well known before the election. What world were they living in? Furthermore, everyone was warned about Trump, so how could there be any shock or regret? Jenifer Lewis may be the mother of Black Hollywood but she’s using her voice on the Emmy’s red carpet to salute another individual making waves. The Black’ish star arrived to the Emmy Awards dipped head to toe in Nike. Her reason? To support Colin Kaepernick and the fight against police brutality and racial injustice. “I am wearing Nike to applaud them for supporting Colin Kaepernick and his protest against racial injustice and police brutality,” she said on the red carpet. She continued, “What can I do? What can I do that’s meaningful? I’ll wear Nike. I’ll wear Nike to say thank you. Thank you for leading the resistance! Logic Confirms Entire Wu-Tang Clan Will Be Featured On New Album [Video]

The Maryland native is clearly excited about delivering his fourth studio album. He took to Instagram Live and gave his fans some insight on  YSIV . “You know how sometimes like you not supposed to give secrets about your album but then you tell everybody you got the entire Wu-Tang Clan featured on your album?” Bobby Tarantino went on to further gloat on how strong  Young Sinatra IV  will be. “I’m going to be honest. This is going to be one of the best albums I ever made. This sh*t is so boom-bap. It’s so Hip-Hop” he revealed. While he continues to keep the project under wraps he recently treated some of his biggest fans to an exclusive listening session in Los Angeles over the weekend. “ Yesterday I flew over 25 of my biggest fans from all over the country to LA and played them my new album YSIV! Watch: Desus & Mero Go Sneaker Shopping With Complex At Stadium Goods In NYC

Source: Vice / Vice Desus Nice and The Kid Mero are known for a lot of things beyond just being funny, and one of those is their always fresh sneaker choices. It’s only right that the pair finally made their way to Complex’s series Sneaker Shopping , where the duo met up with Joe La Puma to talk about their relationship to shoes at Stadium Goods in New York City. The Bronx natives are most well known for their Viceland series, Desus & Mero , where Desus continues to boast on the fact that throughout their 200+ shows, he never once repeated a pair–beside Timbs, of course (and on their Complex show Desus vs. Mero, they never repeated a t-shirt). Since their show was abruptly ended back in June and we have to wait until sometime in 2019 for the new Showtime gig, their appearance on Sneaker Shopping was heavily awaited by bodega hive members waiting for that sweet, sweet Desus & Mero fix–and it did not disappoint. While on the topic of shoes, one of the most prevalent things for the comedians to talk about while on the show is the Bronx’s favorite sneakers: The Uptown, the Timberland, and the Clark Wallabees for when you need to wear a formal shoe in the club. Mero mentions his love for the Jordan 11 and not being able to buy them as a kid, which made him feel it was necessary to buy a pair once he finally got money of his own. Desus discusses how people at school would know who had fugazee sneakers by the Jordan logo being a little bit off, saying they had to walk around school trying to hid the fake Jumpman to avoid being clowned. On the topic of the boys’ love for their Timbs, Joe La Puma brings up the fact that Desus and Mero both like to wear sneakers in Timberland colorways. They both talk about the beauty of a sneaker that looks like a Timberland and an Uptown had sex one night and combined to make their perfect shoe–what could be more desirable for two guys from the Bronx? When talking about Kanye West , both agree that the Red Octobers are one of the best sneakers ever made. They also agree that Kanye kept his word with making the Yeezys widely available for the masses to buy, which they give him props for. As the episode wraps up, the Bodega Boys spend a whopping $4,000 on their sneaker choices, and go home with 9 pairs between them. You can peep the entire episode below:
