This week, however, she told fans she’s on a path to becoming the “best” version of herself. “Over the last couple of years, you guys have been given a perspective of who I am from the media and people closest to me,” she began in a note posted to Instagram. “I’ve been bullied, humiliated, manipulated, and discredit [sic] as a mom! Looking back at a lot of my actions, I’m reflecting and realizing that confusion is a serious thing. Of course I’m not proud of some of the pain I have caused and I am working to be the best me.” “Blac Chyna doesn’t define Angela White as a person,” she continued. “At 30, I am overwhelmed with the blessings I have. Being a mother of two children. I don’t talk on things often, but I promise to give you guys more of me. The Real host is gearing up to host at the 2019 Essence Festival while balancing a healthy relationship while giving advice to women out there who might be suffering in a toxic relationship. Loni is the first woman ever, in 25 years to host the main stage, following in the footsteps of fellow comedians Steve Harvey, Nephew Tommy and Roy Woods Jr. to name a few. “They all reached out to me and said congratulations. They know I’m going to kill it,” she said. If you’ve never been to Essence Festival, you might be asking yourself what does a host do? “The host is very important because we thank all the sponsors. I think a lot of people, when they look at White, they think, ‘They have privilege.’ But he struggled coming up just like I did. He didn’t have a lot of money and he had family issues and things like that. So we kind of relate to that as well.” Loni’s decision to widen the dating pool ties back to the notion that Black women don’t have to accept toxicity. “I’m telling sisters, you don’t have to struggle if it’s hard. Sometimes you just need to get out of it. Especially when you’re working, you’re busy raising kids, you’re working. You want to be able to just pick up the phone, call your partner. According to Page Six , back in January, two officers from the Livingston Police Department in New Jersey conducted a welfare check on the iconic talk show host after an anonymous caller told authorities that her husband Kevin Hunter had been poisoning her. A police report said that Hunter answered the door, but was very hesitant to let them into house, telling the officers that Williams was sick. However after explaining that they needed to check on the talk show host, he let them in, TMZ reported . Police claimed that they found Williams in her bed, “with the blanket covering from neck to toe.” The report went on to say that when Hunter was asked to leave the room so that they could speak to Williams alone, he refused. Williams later told them that she was healing from a broken shoulder and when asked if she was being poisoned, the 54-year-old tearfully replied, “Well, I’m very popular.” When asked a second time was she being hurt, she denied the accusations. Eventually the police left. It’s believed that the caller was someone who worked for Williams’ production company, the gossip website noted. As we previously reported , a few weeks ago Williams filed for divorce from her husband of nearly 23 years, having those papers delivered at 6:30am. Hunter has also been fired as the executive producer of talk show . While last month Williams said on her show that she was “very much in love with my husband” and that her ring “ain’t going anywhere,” she is definitely singing a different tune. As we know, there are plenty of reasons for Williams to walk away from her marriage, which includes Hunter allegedly having a decade long affair with Hudson , perhaps even having a baby with her. That, and Williams has been battling with addiction issues , which Hunter’s alleged cheating may have caused her to spiral. Also, it was reported that Williams was allegedly rushed to the hospita l last month after hearing of Hudson and Hunter’s bundle of joy. That, and the 54-year-old’s popular talk show is on another hiatus . Then there were the allegations of physical abuse. An Akron, Ohio, mom claims that her two daughters were kicked out of their private Christian school, some 30 days before summer break, all because she is unmarried. According to WKYC , Summer Grant’s daughters Summara and Summaia, who were fourth and second graders, had gone to Chapel Hill Christian School for years until last Friday. Apparently, an administrator banned her children because he believes she is “living in sin.” “He said it was many reasons and the main one was because I was not married and my children had different fathers,” Grant said. That, and Grant has receipts—she recorded the conversation. “There’s 10 commandments and committing adultery is not part of that,” Pastor Wilson can be heard saying on tape. “It’s not that they should not go to the school it’s that they can’t go to the school.” Grant also told WKYC that her daughters are model students, winning multiple awards and having good grades. And despite an incident on the bus last week, where one her daughters didn’t sit up front when the driver told her to, the children have no real history of disciplinary issues. She claims the Pastor even told her his decision to expel her daughters had nothing to do with that particular incident. “It’s not right. It’s not right,” Grant stressed, adding, “As Christian you are not supposed to judge. You shouldn’t have affected these kids education over that.” This isn’t the first time Pastor Wilson has confronted Grant about her personal life. She claims over the summer he asked why she had three children with three different men. He also had the audacity to give her a list of eight things she needs to do to improve her life. “It wasn’t about whether they had their scholarship in place,” Grant tearfully told the Akron Beacon Journal . “It was more or less about me just not living right. … It was an uncomfortable conversation, but I sat through it because I really wanted my children to go to the school.” Pastor Wilson declined to go on camera with WKYC, but in a statement, he explained that parents were required to sign a written agreement to reflect a commitment to Christ and the Grant family acted in a manner “inconsistent” with the agreement. In his eyes, the “dismissal was necessary in order to protect the safety of our school children and their families.” In the meantime, Grant says her girls have no school to finish the year out right now. “They don’t have a school,” she said. They don’t have anywhere to go to school right now. I don’t know what to do.” When it comes to next year, she’s not sure if its worth fighting to have her kids back to Chapel Hill Christian School next fall where, “they’re honestly not welcome in.” Last week on Facebook, Grant thanked everyone who had sent her kind words and tried to help her find a new school for her girls. In the end, she just doesn’t want anyone to judge her daughters for her own life decisions. “I really want to thank everyone for any kind words shares messages calls or referrals! This situation has really put me in a bind mentally!!! I can say I’ve done some “not so ok things” in my life,” the mother wrote. Adding, Done some things I probably shouldn’t have but I don’t want to be judged as a bad person! I just wanted every kid to get a chance to build something,” Warren wrote on Twitter. “That’s why I’ve fought so hard to end the student debt crisis & invest in opportunities for America’s young people.” The 2020 presidential candidate’s proposal would cancel up to $50,000 in debt for people with an annual household income of under $100,000 (your average American). According to the Los Angeles Times, anything beyond that income threshold, “smaller amounts of debt would be canceled but no one with more than $250,000 in household income would be eligible.” In her plan to make educational debt more manageable, Warren also proposed free tuition for 2-4 year public colleges. LA Times reports: At issue is the top economic challenge for a key Democratic constituency — millennial voters, many of whom have gone to college and left school during a decade that has seen an explosion of student borrowing. Student loan debt has more than doubled, to about $1.5 trillion, over the last decade, according to a Federal Reserve report that found the trend has contributed to declining rates of homeownership among young adults. “The time for half measures is over,” Warren says. “My broad cancellation plan is a real solution to our student debt crisis. The West Coast rapper can breathe somewhat easier, this after it was reported that a judge won’t order him to hand over his royalties. The Blast reports : The judge said the motion was improperly filed and there is no real emergency. He notes Rainey could seize the royalties in the future but not at this moment. She recently asked for a judge to assign all rights, title and royalties in any money or payments, explaining he is releasing “Born to Rap” later this year. Rainey said he still owes her $7,254,123.18 on the judgment she won and wants all his royalties to be paid to her until the debt is settled. Priscilla Rainey was a contestant on The Game’s VH1 reality show “She’s Got Game.” In her 2015 lawsuit, she claimed that during production the rapper sexually assaulted her by forcefully reaching his hand inside her dress to rub her bare vagina and buttocks. BROWN / Getty Michael Avenatti has been dogged with accusations of doing some shady business of late, including trying to put the squeeze onto Nike before the apparel company got the drop on him and countered his moves. Now, a new report is alleging that the attorney embezzled money from NBA player Hassan Whiteside after he intercepted a $2 million settlement in order to buy shares into a private jet. Los Angeles Times reports: When Hassan Whiteside of the Miami Heat wired $2.75 million to Michael Avenatti in January 2017, the pro basketball player intended most of the money to go to his former girlfriend, Alexis Gardner. Avenatti was Gardner’s attorney. An actress and barista, she’d hired him just a few weeks before to negotiate a settlement of a potential lawsuit against Whiteside. It’s unclear what she would have alleged. Avenatti quickly struck a $3-million deal, and the $2.75 million was Whiteside’s first payment. Avenatti, prosecutors say, was entitled to take just over $1 million in legal fees, leaving the rest for Gardner. Instead, they allege, Avenatti hid Whiteside’s payment from her and immediately took $2.5 million to buy a share of a private jet. J ussie Smollett ‘s career has taken a huge hit since he was accused of staging a hate crime. This week, it was reported that Smollett is no longer considered to play the lead role in the Broadway revival of “ Take Me Out ,” which is about a about a mixed-race baseball. Also, there have been several reports that this will be Smollett last season on “Empire.” Now, his older brother, JoJo Smollett is speaking out in an essay for BET . He slams the Chicago Police Department, the Osundairo brothers and the court of public opinion. See Also: Complete Timeline Of Jussie Smollett Investigation In the lengthy essay , JoJo writes, “Within less than three months, his life has been turned upside down as my family and I have witnessed him endure unrelenting attacks to his character and reputation. Like so many others, this entire process quickly devolved from a focus on him as a victim of assault, to him being falsely accused and held responsible for a crime that was perpetrated against him. To define this experience as unjust would be an understatement.” He also takes aim at the Osundairo brothers, accusing them of changing their story, “Jussie had already refused to sign a complaint against the Osundarios, convinced that these men, one who he had considered a friend and the other an acquaintance, could not be his attackers. Most importantly, detectives refused to show Jussie video, photos, or any evidence to prove they were the attackers. The fact that these two brothers, who in the final hour confessed to attacking my brother yet say it was Jussie who told them to, is all the evidence that the police and the general public needed to be convinced, should be frightening to everyone.” He continued, “With not one inkling of solid evidence, many believed the false witness testimony from two suspects who turned into witnesses, even though they lacked standard credibility. It was under-reported that one of the “witnesses” had previously been arrested for attempted murder ending with a plea deal for aggravated battery, or that the brothers repeatedly expressed homophobia on their social media in the past. Additionally, it was never reported that they changed their story while under police interrogation.” Olabinjo Osundairo was charged with attempted murder in 2011. The Chicago Sun-Times reported two months ago, “Court records show that Olabinjo Osundairo was charged with attempted murder in a 2011 stabbing that occurred in the 4200 block of North Ashland. That is less than a block from the home that police raided in the Smollett investigation, where they recovered personal effects, including cell phones, a source said.” Olabinjo Osundairo allegedly reached a plea deal “with prosecutors and pleaded guilty to aggravated battery; he was sentenced to two years of probation and ordered to pay a $674 fine.” JoJo rips into the Chicago Police Department, pointing out their inconsistencies, “The Superintendent of the Chicago Police Department announced publicly that Jussie’s motive in staging an attack was so he could make more money from ‘Empire.’ Fox immediately said that wasn’t true but the police chief never withdrew his accusation. The chief also stated as fact that Jussie had sent himself the threatening letter that arrived at the ‘Empire’ production offices weeks before the attack. The FBI then refuted this claim. Again, the chief did not correct his accusations. Letting it float for the public to either believe or not.” He also added, “The entire police case rested on two witnesses that lacked credibility and there was no physical evidence tying Jussie to this crime.” You can read the full essay, here . On Jan. 29, while walking to a subway, Smollett claimed two men yelled racial and homophobic slurs at him, investigators told The Hollywood Reporter . They allegedly punched and poured bleach on him while one of the suspects put a rope around his neck. As they fled the scene, Smollett told police they said, “This is MAGA country.” The city of Chicago is now suing Smollett for a half a million dollars. Kim Foxx , the Cook County State Attorney, has been attacked by the Chicago Police and is calling for a prob into the 16 felony counts being dropped. Jussie Smollett has maintained his innocence.
