Source: 20th Century Fox / 20th Century Fox While the world awaits the arrival of Captain Marvel and the conclusion to The Avengers in End Game , there is another comic book film franchise that once dominated the summer called X-Men and it seems like people have forgotten that they have one more sequel dropping this summer as well. Though fan interest in the franchise dropped off a cliff after the abomination that was 2016’s X-Men: Apocalypse , this summer’s Dark Phoenix is looking to recapture comic book fanboys interest in the franchise. From the looks of the latest trailer, that might be a tall order. While the first trailer did little to nothing to build a buzz for the latest installment in the X-Men franchise, the second trailer features Jean Grey (Sophie Turner) discovering her destructive powers which puts the fear of God in her enemies and even X-Men family. With Smith (Jessica Chastain) encouraging her transformation, Jean not only finds herself struggling to contain her newfound powers but also fears for the safety of her X-fam. As she should. From there on she unleashes her power on government soldiers and her own mutant brethren including Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) who seems to have had her ticket punched by the all-powerful Phoenix. While this latest iteration of the classic Dark Phoenix Saga seems more interesting than the trainwreck that was 2006’s X-Men: The Last Stand , it does lack the biggest component that made Brett Ratner’s last X film bearable: Wolverine. Seriously, any film without Logan isn’t really an X-Men film, it’s just a movie about mutants trying to save the world. Still though this will be 20th Century Fox’s last X-Men film before Marvel Studios takes over the franchise (thank God!!) and they might as well go out with a bang. Hopefully that’s exactly what they’ll do with Dark Phoenix. Check out the trailer below and let us know your expectations for this latest X-Men film.

Apparently crab legs are life, even when its in the middle of crawfish season. Two people in Huntsville, Alabama got into a fight over crab legs at a local restaurant, annoying diners and one police officer who just started eating when the fight broke out. “Literally, as I sat down and maybe took two bites out of my plate,” Huntsville police officer Gerald Johnson told WHNT . “There’s a woman who’s beating a man. People are moving around, plates are shattering everywhere,” Johnson added. No sooner than he sat down with his plate at the Meteor Buffet, a man and a woman were arguing over a space in line when the woman allegedly assaulted the man for disrespecting her. It’s alleged the two were fighting using the tongs you use to pick up your crab legs. “Everyone was saying, ‘They cut me in line. She cut me in line. He cut me in line. I was here first,’” Johnson said. The pair arrested, John Chapman and Chequita Jenkins had been waiting for crab legs for 10, 20 minutes. And due to the high demand, people were hot. Apparently not as boiling mad as Chapman and Jenkins were … with each other. Jenkins is charged with third-degree assault charges and Chapman is facing disorderly conduct for his role in the altercation. He suffered a cut to his head in the fight while Jenkins wasn’t hurt. Source: Scott Olson / Getty As R. Kelly and his legal team gear up to combat a new slate of sex tape footage , details of what appears on the tapes are emerging which triggered an alleged past victim to speak out. Lisa VanAllen, who allegedly appeared on the infamous first tape, says that the acts depicted on the new tapes sound similar to her ordeal. TMZ reports : Lisa VanAllen was on “TMZ Live” Wednesday, and she told us the descriptions of the new tapes are basically par for the course. Lisa was one of the 2 young women on the original R. Kelly sex tape, for which he went on trial, but was ultimately acquitted in 2008. She was 17 at the time that tape was recorded. … Lisa tells us everything R. Kelly allegedly does in the videos — coaching the teen through sex, choking her, calling out her age — sounds like the same Kelly she was dating. She also believes Avenatti is on point with his allegations about Kelly’s camp intimidating witnesses in the 2008 trial. Watch Lisa VanAllen on TMZ Live below. — Photo: Getty

Virginia Governor Ralph Northam , you know, the one who was exposed as a blackface participant in his medical school yearbook? Right. Well, according to CNN , Northam’s wife, First Lady of Virginia Pam Northam, recently handed out handfuls of cotton to Black children who were on a tour of the governor’s mansion. Sign Up For Our Newsletter! Close Thank you for subscribing! Please be sure to open and click your first newsletter so we can confirm your subscription. Email Submit If you’ll recall, Pam Northam restrained her husband from doing the moonwalk dance at his press conference explaining how he’s not racist or a habitual blackfacer, but he once put on blackface to impersonate Michael Jackson. At the time Pam called the press conference “inappropriate circumstances” for Ralphy Boy to bust out MJ’s iconic dance defiance of physics. Sounds like “inappropriate circumstances” meant more “don’t do the racist things we love in front of all these people” as opposed to “honey, that’s racist”. SEE ALSO: Katy Perry Under Fire For ‘Blackface’ Shoes [PHOTOS] While guiding the children through the home’s kitchen Northam told the children holding cotton to imagine themselves being slaves in the fields according to one of the children’s mother in a letter addressed to the First Lady. The forces of Eddie Bauer evil are REALLY putting a damper on Black History Month . The mother who aired out Pam Northam is Leah Dozier Walker who works as the director of the Office of Equity and Community Engagement at the Virginia Department of Education. Her 8th grade daugther had good enough sense to not accept the cotton the Northam tried to force on her. We imagine she gave her the most legendary side-eye of all time while doing so. Clap for her. “During the tour of the Mansion Cottage, (Walker’s daughter) and two of her (fellow) pages were asked to hold cotton that the First Lady retrieved from a bowl on a nearby table,” Walker wrote in the letter. “Mrs. Northam then asked these three pages (the only African-American pages in the program) if they could imagine what it must have been like to pick cotton all day.” Walker’s daughter also had some bars for Pam Northam. The Walker women are not for play. “The comments and just the way you carried yourself during this time was beyond inappropriate, especially considering recent events with the Governor,” Walker’s daughter wrote to the first lady. “From the time we walked into the mansion to the time in the cottage house, I did not receive a welcoming vibe. It was very testing to know I had to go somewhere, and I had no choice as to if I went, I had to be respectful, and be on my best behaviour (sic), even when the people in positions of power I was around were not doing the same.” Throw this whole family away.
