Mo’Nique Drags Whoopi Goldberg: She’s ‘Always Been The Help’

Source: Blackbird Film Fest Team / Blackbird Film Fest Team In a recent interview with Vulture , Mo’Nique didn’t hold back and had some choice words about Whoopi Goldberg . “She’s always been the help,” the Oscar winner said about her fellow Oscar winner. See, her comments were related to the last time she was in the hot seat The View discussing her career and 2018 Netflix boycott for offering a measly 500K for her own stand-up special. Apparently, Whoopi told her she could have “schooled” the veteran comedian on how to understand contracts. “When you have a woman saying, ‘I could have schooled you,’ someone would say, ‘What was the schooling going to be?’ When I look at this woman you say is our icon and our legend — she is,” Mo’Nique stressed. “But, how many things has Whoopi Goldberg executive produced? Whoopi Goldberg has always been the help, and I say that humbly. So what is it that you’re going to school me on? I’ve been doing it for almost 30 years.” (FACT CHECK: Vanity Fair pointed out that Goldberg has actually produced 30 projects, but we digress.) In addition, the actress brought up some of Whoopi’s own problematic past. “This is a woman who says ‘I could have schooled you,’ and this is a woman who accepted Ted Danson in blackface, and our community praises this woman,” she added. “So often times, we do it to ourselves. But, I just can’t. Understand, I love my sister. However, when you know you’re being fed the wrong food, you must say, ‘I can’t chew this, y’all.’” Mo also shared some details about a behind the scenes conversation she had with Whoopi, expressing to The View co-host that she hoped her boycott would help the future queens in comedy who should know to demand their worth. According to her, Whoopi wasn’t having that either. “In that moment I knew I was looking at a woman who didn’t give a damn about me,” Mo’Nique said. “And if she’s telling me, ‘Stop worrying about that little girl who not here yet,’ well, she forgot about the ones that came before her who were worried about her.” Welp! Mo’Nique called Whoopi “the help.” pic.twitter.com/H0ajGSBYPS — [kie.ran] (@danblackroyd) January 25, 2019 Mo wasn’t done though. In that same interview she kept it 100 about Tyler Perry. Remember, last summer she released a secret recording of the director and Precious executive producer telling her she had been mistreated by those in the industry and how her career stalled after winning the Academy Award. Caught on tape, Perry claimed he was going to speak up for her. Yet, let Mo tell it, that never happened. “Here’s the thing: he’s never done it,” Mo’Nique said. “We had given Tyler Perry a year to keep his word. Brother, you said you were going to come out and say something. Well, you never came out and said anything. And what was disheartening was people who were saying, ‘How could you tape him?’ But, they weren’t saying, ‘Oh my God, did you hear what he said? He said she wasn’t wrong.’” She continued, saying, “We didn’t accept any money.” Neither Whoopi or Tyler have responded to Mo’Nique’s comments. FBI Investigating R. Kelly For Allegedly Arranging Cross-Country Flight For Underage Girl

Source: Stacia Timonere / Getty After get dropped from his record label and multiple police investigations underway, the walls continue to close in on R. Kelly . Reports are now saying that the “I Believe I Can Fly” singer is being investigated by the FBI. FBI Investigates R. Kelly for Flying Underaged Azriel Clary Over State Lines https://t.co/u8gn9YCTwk — TMZ (@TMZ) January 27, 2019 According to TMZ , the 52-year-old “allegedly arranged a coast-to-coast trip for  Azriel Clary  when she was underage, and the FBI is now looking into the trip to see if R. Kelly committed a federal crime.” Remember: Clary’s parents were featured in the Lifetime docuseries, “Surviving R. Kelly.” seeing that last scene I filmed with the Clarys made me lose it. that night will stay with me forever. thank you @dreamhampton for your bravery, and every person involved. we won’t rest until R. Kelly’s brought to justice and these girls come home #SurvivingRKelly pic.twitter.com/lopaki7H3s — amilli (@frotasia) January 6, 2019 Apparently, Azriel was supposedly “flown from Palm Springs to Phoenix to Orlando on May 25, 2015. She flew US Airways, leaving Cali at 6:57 AM and eventually landing in Florida at 4:09 PM.” This matters because the young singer was only 17 at the time, which means that Kelly may have violated the Mann Act, which makes it “illegal to transport a minor across state lines for purposes of sex, debauchery or prostitution.” A source told TMZ that one of his  assistants booked the flight. Kelly’s lawyer told the gossip site that his client is innocent. “Mr. Kelly has not violated the law. Certainly not the Mann Act. The story has flawed factual predicates. Beyond that, we remain unaware of any investigation, anywhere.” In addition, sources claim that the singer also believes he hasn’t done anything wrong because there is an alleged note that Azriel’s mom wrote giving the singer permission to have the teenager fly. Another One: BlocBoy JB Sues ‘Fortnite’ For Allegedly Snatching His “Shoot” Dance

Source: Scott Dudelson / Getty He Joins A Long List Of Artist Coming For The Video Game Rappers and viral move-makers alike are continuing their campaign against Fortnite and this time BlocBoy JB is joining the fray. According to TMZ , the Tennessee spitter has filed a lawsuit against Epic Games, the company behind Fortnite , saying they stole his “Shoot” dance. The popular leg and hand-chopping move was featured in BlocBoy’s music video for “Shoot,” and Drake made it even more popular when he performed it at parties and in his “Look Alive” music video with BlocBoy. Fortnite has an identical dance that players can acquire called the “Hype” dance. BlocBoy is calling BS, saying Fortnite didn’t get permission to use a dance he created in their video game. Granted, BlocBoy never copyrighted the dance when Fortnite used it, but he says he’s in the process of getting that done. He’s being repped by Sandy Lal and David L. Hecht , who’s repping other artists and dancers accusing Fortnite of theft , including Alfonso Ribeiro . Ribeiro, who’s forever treasured as Carlton from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,  filed his lawsuit against Fortnite back in December 2018. He accuses the game of stealing his “Carlton dance” for use in the game. Backpack Kid , who’s behind “The Floss” dance, and 2 Milly , who ushered in the Milly Rock, are also coming for Fortnite ‘s coins. Smh, they better stop playing with these dancers.
