Every season, The Bachelorette spoilers come out before the season even airs. Nothing like the tragedy that unfolded this year has even occurred before, though. Fans were both stunned and saddened in April at news that contestant Eric Hill died suddenly after a paragliding accident, not long after his stint on the show ended. Eric Hill Dies; The Bachelorette Star Was 30 The late 30-year-old clearly made a lasting impression on people. Eric Hill had gone on the first one-on-one date of the season with Andi Dorfman . While he was clearly eliminated at some point, he and The Bachelorette hit it off. What will his death would mean for the show going forward? The Bachelorette producers were still taping Season 10, featuring the now deceased Eric Hill. Host Chris Harrison stated the obvious when breaking his silence Friday. Harrison told People , “It’s just a horrible, horrible thing.” “He was taken away too young. It’s something we’ve never dealt with on the show. Who will she pick? Given what happened to Eric, that’s a secondary concern now.
