Brian Cushing will miss the first four games in the first week of the season. He had violated the NFL’s steroid policy which has resulted for his suspension. Meanwhile, he will be able to participate in training camp leading up to his suspension. On Friday, he was informed that his appeal to the league’s decision at a hearing at the NFL scouting combine in February had been rejected. The Texans defense will suffer without the NFL’s rookie of the year. The first game of the season will be against the Texans and the Indianapolis Colts, which is the defending AFC South champion.
