Times Square Bomb Scare: Yankees Evacuated

Everyone were asked to immediately evacuate the historical New York Times Square on Friday after the authorities received intelligence about a suspicious package. Several parts of the Times Square were closed to give way to police investigation. Streets near the Seventh Avenue were closed (until now). The failed bomb attack on Saturday alarmed the authorities which resulted to the increase in the city’s security alertness. A naturalized US Citizen born in Pakistan was charged after attemtping to use a weapon of mass destruction and attempted to kill the people in the United states. The guy was identified as Faisal Shahzad, 30 years old. He was accused of driving a homemade bomb of gasoline, fireworks and fertilizer into the crowded Times Square on Saturday evening.
