Police say that a Frenchman had hacked the Twitter account known to be owned by US President Barack Obama, and also accounts belonging to celebrities. After several months of operation conducted by FBI and French police, they have arrested a 25-year-old unemployed French. The suspect is said to have only guessed the user’s passwords which enabes him to hack all throughout the micro-blogging website. The suspect also trageted famous celebrities like Britney Spears. According to Adeline Champagnat, head of the French central office against online fraud, the suspect used an anonym “Hacker Croll” and was reported to have no specialist training. On June 24, the suspect has been ordered to appear at court in the central French city of Clermont-Ferrand. In France, hacking into a database is considered a crime that would put the person responsible in a two-year imprisonment.
