Will Eclipse Director Helm Wolverine 2?

In a cute little twist on those rumors that Taylor Lautner might play a young Wolverine in X-Men: First Class , his Eclipse director David Slade has emerged as a frontrunner (alongside Red’s Robert Schwentke) to helm Wolverine 2 . Vulture says that the deal will be finalized after Hugh Jackman meets with both directors next week, which should give Slade plenty of time to figure out why some wolves have chest hair and some don’t . Joe Francis Not Happy That Piranha 3D Associates Him With Drugs, Underage Girls, Flying Penis

Piranha 3D star Jerry O’C onnell — who will now forever been known as the dude who lost his penis in Piranha 3D — has been fond of telling everyone that his Wild Wild Girls promoter in the film is based on Girls Gone Wild ‘s Joe Francis. Or, as he told The Daily Beast: “For legal reasons I’m supposed to say, ‘I play someone loosely based on Joe Francis.'” Not loosely enough, apparently. Joe Francis will not have his good name sullied by Piranha 3D — and he’s threatening a lawsuit.

What’s On: Mad Hatting on Project Runway

Cory Monteith on His ‘Idiot’ Glee Character, His Two Left Feet and What’s Ahead For Finn Hudson

Like the character he portrays on Fox’s Emmy-nominated gem Glee , Cory Monteith is a paradox. Both awkward and well-rehearsed, the Canadian-born actor had famously never sung in front of a live audience before his audition for Ryan Murphy’s musical series. He never learned how to throw a football before playing star quarterback Finn Hudson. And despite having zero experience dancing, he landed a role on the only scripted series that demands its stars learn new choreography each week.

REVIEW: Lottery Ticket Trades Its Urban Nerve for Easy Charm

Erik White wanted the housing projects in Lottery Ticket , his fractious wish-fulfillment comedy, to look like an “Everywhere, USA ” that would be relatable to all. Though he envisioned the story taking place in his hometown of New York City, circumstance led him to shoot in Atlanta, Georgia, largely on a complex of soon-to-be demolished projects with a pink-bricked, benignly institutional look. He carefully shot around any identifying signs or landmarks, ensuring that his generic, non-specific, ultimately unsatisfying take on a bullet-proof concept — an 18-year-old Foot Locker employee wins the lottery but is forced to wait out a long weekend within the cutthroat ecosystem of his community before he can claim the prize — is reflected in its hermetic, alienating aesthetic.
