Following a hiatus that lasted way too long, Scandal Season 6 will finally kick off on ABC on Thursday, January 26. The series took an extended break between the spring and this winter due to star Kerry Washington's real-life pregnancy. So Ellen DeGeneres figured that Washington needed some practice prior to reprising her beloved role as Olivia Pope on this addictive new drama, inviting the actress on her talk show for a game of “Speak Out.” This basically involved Washington putting a piece of plastic inside her mouth and trying to … well… speak out. In coherent fashion. And it involved Ellen having to guess what the heck Washington is saying. Before asking readers to hit PLAY on the following video in order to see this hilarious back-and-forth in action, we had to get at least try to give fans a few Scandal spoilers prior to the show's big return. “It's worth the wait,” Washington told Ellen during their taping, referring to the election that happens on the show. “In the first 10 minutes you will find out who won and who lost.” We can't wait! Poor thang! Jennifer Lewis Says Her Con-Artist Ex Scammed Her Veteran actress Jennifer Lewis is revealing a shocking story about her ex-boyfriend. According to Lewis, 59, Tony Wilson convinced her to give him $50,000 for his “sound effect business” before he was exposed as a LONGTIME scammer who was previously incarcerated for scamming investors out of $4 million. She was also dismayed to find out that his name isn’t Tony Wilson; it’s actually Brice Carrington. Jennifer is suing Brice and his employer L.A. Fitness who she says “protected him” after she told them his true identity. “On September 11, 2015, only hours before my mother passed away, I learned that the man I planned to build a life with was a convicted felon and con artist whose criminal career spans more than 25 years, with a special skill in swindling women,” wrote the actress on Instagram. “his man, whose name is Tony Wilson, had been sentenced in 2010 to four years in federal prison for conning investors out of $4 million and was currently out on parole. Finally. The Browns can celebrate some exciting news. As has been well documented over the past several weeks, all is not exactly calm and cool between loved ones on Sister Wives. There has been talk that Kody Brown is either splitting from wife Robyn or wife Meri or even that all four Sister Wives are ready to just up and leave the father of their children. Ugly rumors have been running rampant, but Maddie Brown and Caleb Brush are here with a bit of exciting news for those who follow this TLC series: They’re having a baby! Sorry, you probably knew that already. Let’s try this again: they’re having a baby BOY! The couple learned the sex of their impending child during a gender reveal party on Monday and then shared the answer with Us Weekly. “We are both super excited for our little boy,” Maddie and Caleb have told the tabloid. “Although we had a good hunch that it was a boy, it’s nice to finally know, so we can start preparing!” According to Us Weekly, the reality stars hosted about 30 close friends and loved ones at Christine Brown’s residence in Las Vegas this week. The attendees then played a game in which they cut out mustaches or hair bows from paper and actually donned the accessories themselves. They were also given blue and pink balloons, but only the blue ones could inflate. Maddie – the daughter of Kody and his second wife, Janelle – is 21 years old. She made her pregnancy announcement on November 21, sharing an Instagram photo at the time of her husband kissing her baby bump, writing as a caption; “So happy to announce our little addition!” The two were married in a beautiful, intimate outdoor ceremony back in June in Montana. Last month, Maddie posted an image of the expecting parents at Yellowstone National Park. “Six months being married to you has been more than a fairy tale come true. You truly are my best friend and soul mate! I look forward to the years to come!” she wrote as a caption. AWWW, right? It’s been a turbulent time for the Browns of late. As those who watch Sister Wives online know very well, Maddie’s half-sister, Mariah, stunned her family by coming out of the closet a couple episodes ago. She stood in front of her dad and other relatives and announced she is gay. And while Kody was surprised at the news initially, expressing a few reservations and asking a few questions, he did eventually come around. “A surprise to me. Required some deep thought,” Kody Tweeted of the reveal on Sunday night, adding over the course of a couple more messages: “After checking to see if she was sure, I just needed her to know she was safe… “God has prepared my heart and mind for 15 years. Now @mariahlian can feel safe being openly gay with our family.” That’s pretty impressive for a Mormon to write. We’re not judging the religion, we’re just noting that many people who practice is are not accepting of the gay lifestyle, based on how they were raised. But that’s another story. Over the years, we’ve grown quite accustomed to erratic behavior from Lindsay Lohan. But even having spent the past decade or so marveling at the new and interesting places that LiLo’s been able to take her career as a former actress and professional trainwreck, we still never saw her latest reinvention coming. You see, Lindsay recently decided she wants to stop being young Courtney Love and start being young Angelina Jolie … with a little bit of James Bond villain mixed in. It all started with the reports that Lohan might be a Turkish spy . That sounds like a joke, but there’s actually legitimate reason to believe that Lohan is in league with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. We’ve already spent much of the day contemplating our president-elect receiving golden showers from Russian hookers , and we’re feeling pretty drained, so just click the link above if you’re curious as to why so many believe Linds is also in the pocket of a foreign government. Anyway, it may seem impossible, but things only got weirder from there. First, Lohan adopted an accent that can only be described as “Carmen San Diego meets freshman year drama student.” Shortly thereafter, she composed a poem about ISIS and posted it on her Instagram page, because apparently her years of hard drug use haven’t done enough to shorten her life expectancy. Now, in what may are taking as a sign that Lindsay is putting the washed-up celebrity life behind her in favor of a more spiritual existence, the actress has deleted every photo from her IG page and left only a message: “Alaikum salam,” it reads. The words mean “peace be unto you” in Arabic, and while Lindsay has been slammed for only showing the most superficial interest in Middle Eastern culture, we say, if she’s serious about bettering herself through involvement in a religious community, then that’s just what she should do. Of course, this is still Lindsay Lohan were talking about, so most signs point to her not being remotely serious and just indulging in the sort of “phase” behavior most people outgrow in high school. Looks like Denzel might be onto something … Viola Davis Granted Star On Hollywood Walk Of Fame Viola Davis just scored the first star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame of 2017. The actress accepted her honor earlier this afternoon in LA. According to USA Today , even though Viola planned to keep her cool and be straightforward with her speech, she got emotional while thinking of all that brought her up to that moment. “Only thing I could think about is my dad. I wish he were here. He died in 2006 and, um, he would think this is pretty fantastic.” Viola was joined at the ceremony by her husband, actor Julius Tennon and daughter, Genesis Tennon, as Meryl Streep introduced and presented the actress with her honor. Viola went on to reflect on her upbringing in Central Falls, R.I. and how blessed she is to have come so far. “The only picture I have of myself as a kid in kindergarten is with a little … sucker and an expression that’s not really a smile, not really a frown, just something. Carrie Fisher, a veteran actress best known and revered for her role as Princess Leia in the Star Wars franchise, has passed away. She was 60 years old. Fisher was flying from London to Los Angeles on a United flight when she suffered a major heart attack on board an airplane late last week. The incident took place 15 minutes before the flight landed in LAX. Once the plane landed, paramedics worked on the star for 15 minutes with CPR before they were able to find the star’s pulse. She was then transferred to UCLA Medical Center and was in critical condition before succumbing to the heart attack earlier Tuesday. Family spokesman Simon Halls released a statement to the media on behalf of Fisher’s daughter, Billie Lourd: “It is with a very deep sadness that Billie Lourd confirms that her beloved mother Carrie Fisher passed away at 8:55 this morning.” “She was loved by the world and she will be missed profoundly. Our entire family thanks you for your thoughts and prayers.” Fisher, of course, sky-rocketed to fame in 1977 as one of the main characters in George Lucas’ iconic space opera Star Wars . She recently reprised the role of Princess Leia in 2015’s The Force Awakens and next year’s Star Wars: Episode VIII . It’s unclear what will happen to Leia’s storyline in Episode IX, tentatively scheduled for release in December 2019. Along with this legendary film character, Fisher appeared on a number of films and TV shows over the years. She had been the voice of Angela on Family Guy since 2005; stopped by The Big Bang Theory as herself in 2014; and also portrayed Mia in Catastrophe. Fisher was even nominated for a pair of Primetime Emmy Awards: Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for her role on 30 Rock in 2008; and Outstanding Variety, Music or Comedy Special for Wishful Drinking in 2011. Fisher also recently made headlines when she came out and admitted to an affair with Harrison Ford way back during the filming of A New Hope . She spoke of this romantic entanglement as part of her press tour for The Princess Diarist, a memoir that was released on November 22 of this year. Three decades earlier, Fisher wrote her first memoir, along with the screenplay for the movie based on the book. She was married to Bryan Lourd and Paul Simon; Billie is her only child. The daughter of showbiz veteran Debbie Reynolds and entertainer Eddie Fisher, she was brought up in the world of film, theater and TV. Fisher made her film debut in the Warren Beatty-lead Shampoo while she was a teenager and was just 19 when she was cast in Star Wars . In addition to the second and third Star Wars films, Fisher starred in 1980’s The Blues Brothers and The Man with One Red Shoe. She appeared in Woody Allen’s Hannah and Her Sisters in 1986 and, later, the award-winning classic When Harry Met Sally . Fisher wed musician Paul Simon in 1983. Theirs was an explosive marriage, according to Homeward Bound: The Life of Paul Simon author Peter Ames Carlin. The union was cut short by swinging stages of depression, the actress’ drug use and an array of personal insecurities. Nevertheless, the tumultuous relationship continued, on-and-off for several years, after the pair got divorced in 1984. The star’s substance abuse problem was well-known, starting at only age 13 when she first started smoking marijuana, Fisher said. She later dabbled in drugs like cocaine and LSD. Fisher’s addiction was largely profiled in her 1987 best-selling, semi-autobiographical novel, Postcards from the Edge. Always open about her life, in good times and bad, Fisher’s book was later turned into a movie starring Meryl Streep. There have been a lot of jokes about what a horrendous year 2016 has been (Don’t talk about it in the past tense yet, or it’ll grandmother and your favorite singer in one fiery head-on collision.), but we think much of the criticism has been unfair. After all, we already have reason to believe that 2017 will be much, much worse. We may not know exactly what unique horrors lie in store for us in the coming 12 months, but we do know we won’t make it three weeks before Putin’s puppet pops a figurative squat on the Capitol steps and wipes with the Constitution. Yes, whether you like it or not (statistically, you probably don’t) Donald Trump’s inauguration will take place on January 20. Usually, entertainers consider performing on Inauguration Day to be a incredible honor, but Team Trump has had difficulty securing any talent at all, much less the yuuuuge names that Trump would like to see on stage. Thus far, only three acts have been confirmed for the Donald’s Inauguration Day: The Mormon Tabernacle Choir, which is surprising, considering how much Trump struggled against independent candidate Evan McMullin in Utah. Jackie Evancho, which is also surprising, considering that by finishing in second place on her season of America’s Got Talent, Evancho joins the rest of the world on Trump’s list of losers. And the Radio City Rockettes, who are the most surprising selection of all, as they’re basically being coerced into getting on stage to sport massive grins and get their kick-line on. A Rockette named Phoebe Price took to Instagram to express her displeasure with being forced to perform at the inauguration, and her plea for understanding has gone viral today: “I usually don’t use social media to make a political stand but I feel overwhelmed with emotion,” Price writes. “Finding out that it has been decided for us that Rockettes will be performing at the Presidential inauguration makes me feel embarrassed and disappointed.” “The women I work with are intelligent and are full of love and the decision of performing for a man that stands for everything we’re against is appalling,” “I am speaking for just myself but please know that after we found out this news, we have been performing with tears in our eyes and heavy hearts #notmypresident” An email that was sent from the Rockettes union to the performers went public today, and many have expressed shock over the group basically being informed that they have no choice but to take the stage: “Everyone is entitled to her own political beliefs, but there is no room for this in the workplace,” the email reads. “If you are not full time, you do not have to sign up to do this work. If you are full time, you are obligated.” The women are further informed that any “boycott” of the event will be considered “invalid.” Trump, meanwhile, has been tweeting about how many celebrities are clamoring to be invited to the event – without naming any names, of course: “The so-called ‘A’ list celebrities are all wanting tixs to the inauguration, but look what they did for Hillary, NOTHING,” Trump tweeted. “I want the PEOPLE!” the President-elect tweeted this morning. Have you been keeping up with the completely tragic and deeply disturbing story of Lisa Marie Naegle? The world got to know Lisa Marie when she was a contestant on the classic reality show Bridalplasty back in 2010. While it would have been wonderful to see more of this woman — she was a sweetheart on the show — it won't be possible. She was brutally murdered early on Sunday morning . Lisa Marie was at birthday party on Saturday night when she met up with a nursing student of hers, Jackie Jerome Rogers. They'd allegedly been having an affair, but Lisa Marie tried to end it that night — something that clearly drove Rogers over the edge. He struck her repeatedly in the head with a hammer, then buried her body in a shallow grave in his backyard. And the story only gets worse … Rogers confessed to the murder on Sunday morning, hours after it happened, but before he told his story to police, he met with Lisa Marie's family . They suspected he had something to do with her disappearance, so much that they confronted him at his house. Earlier this week, we reported that Bella Thorne was dating Charlie Puth . Yesterday, Puth broke things off with Bella in very public fashion via his Twitter page. So how did things implode so quickly? Well, it had more than a little to do with the fact that Bella was allegedly still dating Tyler Posey when she started hooking up with Charlie. To hear Puth tell it, the actress attempted to juggle both relationships for a time, but the situation blew up in her face when Charlie found she had never broken up with Tyler. “No one should have their heart messed with like this, and I’m not going to be in the middle of it,” Puth tweeted on Thursday. “I don’t know Tyler personally, but I know he shouldn’t be treated this way.” In case anyone remained under the delusion that he and Bella might still have a future together, Puth spelled out his decision in his final tweet on the matter: “She told me she was not with him anymore. This is all news to me … I want nothing but peace for all, I’m just removing myself from this.” Puth apparently based his based his accusations on a Paper magazine interview in which Bella spoke about Tyler in glowing terms. Bella defended herself, tweeting that while it was just published this week, the interview took place before she met Charlie: “That article was written forever ago,” Bella tweeted. “Ty and I have been broken up for like over two weeks.” Even if she speaks the truth, Charlie probably would have preferred to hold off on going public with Bella if he had been aware that she was just in a relationship “like over two weeks” ago. Anyway, Tyler and Charlie both have pretty loyal online followings, so not surprisingly, social media quickly turned against Bella, with Twitter stans roasting her in one of their customary “over” parties. However, it looks as though Bella has a loyal supporter in actress Keke Palmer, who came to her fellow Nickelodeon alums defense with the a tweet reading: “Why couldn’t you have just texted @bellathorne in private if you were confused? The interview is dated. Carrie Fisher, the legendary actress best known for her role as Princess Leia in the Star Wars films, is unfortunately in a bad way. Carrie was on a flight from London to Los Angeles earlier today when she suffered a massive heart attack. The heart attack happened just 15 minutes before the plane landed, and luckily a doctor, nurses, and an EMT were on board to administer CPR until she could be taken to a nearby hospital. According to TMZ, the United Airlines flight she was on reported her condition upon landing as “unresponsive.” After landing, paramedics reportedly had to tend to her for around 15 minutes before they could even get a pulse. Actress Anna Akana tweeted that she was sitting near Carrie on the flight, and she also included some seriously concerning details. “Don’t know how else to process this,” she wrote, “but Carrie Fisher stopped breathing on the flight home. Hope she’s gonna be OK.” “So many thanks to the United flight crew who jumped into action, and the awesome doctor and nurse passengers who helped.” She added “Feel weird even tweeting about it but I JUST finished her book and was fangirling out over seeing her dog Gary in person. Gah.” A comedian named Brad Gage was with Anna, and he tweeted “I’m in complete shock.” “@AnnaAkana and I sat in front of Carrie Fisher on our flight from London and she was just taken off the plane by EMTs.” “I don’t know what happened,” he wrote. “Not really sure what to do right now but I hope she is ok. I hope she is ok.” Another witness says “It was scary. There was a team of about six emergency workers pushing her out in a stretcher.” “She had an oxygen mask on and they were yelling at people to get out of the way as they pushed her through.” Other witnesses stated that as EMTs rushed Carrie through the terminal at LAX, her eyes were shut and she seemed to be unconscious. Right now, she’s in the hospital, reportedly in critical condition and on a ventilator. Carrie is only 60 years old. Best wishes that she can pull through this.
