Jersey Shore Finale Recap: One Last Fist-Pump

Call it a desperate plea for human salvation. Just two hours before December 21, the day that marks the end of the world according to the Mayan calendar, MTV pulled the plug on Jersey Shore for good. Last-minute peace offering to the gods? We’ll find out, won’t we?! Yeah buddy. For now, let’s break down the grand finale Jersey Shore in all its fist-pumping, STD-ridden, GTL’d glory … THG style! Like the season as a whole, it was relatively uneventful, but Situation, Snooki, Pauly D, Sammi, Ronnie, Vinny, Deena and JWoww went out in style. A bonfire on the beach required some hard wood courtesy of Vinny, and not the kind he’s used to displaying whenever Snooki is around. Plus 20 . This farewell bash felt like exactly that. Everyone’s friends and families joined, and had a blast, but it felt like they were all about ready to move on. The sober Mike tells us he is “in the best shape of my life” about 100 times. And then is absolutely torched by Jionni LaValle in beach football. Plus 30 . Roger Mathews and Jionni – “The father gorilla and a little baby ape” according to Vinny – arrive with flowers for their ladies. They’re good guys. Plus 30 . The last day of “work” at the Shore Store was bittersweet. So many good memories of being hung over and pretending to have to work there. Minus 20 . Snook says little baby Lorenzo will work there one day. Aiming high. Plus 10 . “I’m fighting back the tears right now,” says Danny. “Tears of joy.” Plus 50 . Paula Pickard left a card and cake for her ex Mike to celebrate his birthday, which felt like a pathetic move until we realized she had a plan the whole time. More on that shortly. Vinny reflects that he never thought he’d call a tanned guido his best friend. Pauly puts it, “Never judge a book by its blowout, son.” AWW! Plus 20 . Vinny and Pauly decided to take Ron’s air mattress outside as a prank, but then Vinny popped the mattress which made it kind of a bad idea. Minus 40 . They put it back in the room, after which Ron and Sam thought the prank was just deflating the bed … and tried to fill it back up with air for a long time. Even . The next day was July 4 – Mike and Pauly’s birthday – and Ronnie still wasn’t over the bed drama and Sam for pranking Vinny in the first place. Minus 30 . As with all Sam-Ron fights, things got heated, they threatened to break up with each other, then kissed and made up and smushed in like an hour. Plus 60 . During the crew’s final GTL session, Paula’s coworker at the salon asked Mike’s roommate (while he was in the tanning bed) if they ate the cake. They did not, as only Mike, Deena and Pauly ate some. Then the girl displayed a photo of some dude teabagging the cake. Yes, full-on balls up in there. Paula Pickard FTW. Plus 70 . Mike tried to call Paula about that “nutty situation,” but she kept pretending she couldn’t hear him, Mike became enraged and smashed the duck phone. Not cool Mike. So not cool. RIP Wood Duck Phone (2009-2012). Minus 180 . The gang’s last night together was spent with filler / memories. Using the hot tub the first night, Snooki getting punched in the face by a guy at the bar, to Pauly and Jenni’s hookup, welcoming Deena into the house. It’s been a good run. But it’s time to end it right here and now.  “I thought this was the biggest mistake of my life,” says JWoww of her first summer in the Shore house, but now, she says, it’s made her life “perfect.” “You can’t take away what we’ve done together,” adds Pauly. No you cannot. Bags were packed and loaded into giant black SUVs. Tearful goodbyes were said. Even The Situation cried bidding farewell to his Jersey Shore “family.” Grab the Kleenex. And the motherf–kin’ condoms. Plus 100 . EPISODE TOTAL: +200! SEASON TOTAL: +430!

Mila Kunis Targeted by Ukrainian Politician, Victim of Jewish Slur

And the winner for Most Random Insult of the Year goes to… Igor Miroshnichenko! This Ukrainian politician went off in a Facebook rant against Mila Kunis, slamming her heritage and saying she isn’t a true Jew because the actress is a “zhydovka.” That word translates to an Anti-Semitic slur that’s been used against Jewish people since the Holocaust. Insulting Mila Kunis? Wrong. Ogling Mila Kunis nude ? Oh so right! The Ukrainian government has defended Miroshnichenko. But the Simon Wiesenthal Center in Los Angeles has sent a letter to the nation in which his organization expresses “our outrage and indignation against the slanders of the Svoboda Party directed against the Jewish community in the Ukraine.” Rabbi Marvin Hier says that “zhydovka” (translation: “dirty Jewess”) is  an “insidious slur invoked by the Nazis and their collaborators as they rounded up the Jews to murder them at Babi Yar and in the death camps.” He is urging the Ukraine Prime Minister to “publically condemn this attack and to take measures to defeat the xenophobic forces that threaten your democracy.” No word from Kunis just yet, but at least she has the Sexiest Woman Alive thing to fall back on.

Poor Thang! Megan Fox Worried She Was Toting A Gut Full Of Baby Vampire: “Something Not Human Was Happening!”

Somebody has been watching too much “Twilight.” Megan Fox recently revealed that during her first trimester she feared she might give birth to a monster. Via US Weekly reports : The last time Megan Fox appeared on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno in February, the 26-year-old actress was hiding a small baby bump. “I was about two months pregnant. I was really sick,” the star of This Is 40 said when she returned for the Dec. 17 episode of the NBC talk show. “I was very nauseous. I had really bad morning sickness.” Fox continued, “It was so bad for me. . . I was convinced that I was, like, maybe birthing a vampire baby like the one in Twilight — you know what happens to Bella, where she’s in cold sweats all the time — and I felt like that was happening because I had no vitamins and nutrients and I was just nauseous.” “Something not human was happening!” she added. Luckily, Brian Austin Green’s wife of two-and-a-half years didn’t suffer for long. “The first trimester was really rough and then I got to about 12 weeks and then it was fine,” the actress said. “It was really a perfect pregnancy after that.” Fox — already stepmom to Green’s son Kassius, 10, from his previous relationship with actress Vanessa Marcil — also opened up about giving birth Sept. 27 at L.A.’s Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. (Coincidentally, Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth welcomed a son, Tennessee, at the same hospital that same day.) “I thought I was going to be tough and the nurses would be like, ‘She’s a warrior princess! She doesn’t need an epidural! She’s amazing! We’re such big fans!’” Fox admitted. “As soon as I got out of the car I was already crying for an epidural. I was asking the security guard for an epidural!” All that sounds extremely painful. We wonder if Megan wants more kids now that Noah is here and he’s human? GSIMedia

Paz de la Huerta: Nude in Playboy!

Paz de la Huerta is naked in this month’s Playboy . In related news, the sky is blue and Brooke Mueller just left rehab again. We kid (sort of), viewers of HBO’s Boardwalk Empire are well aware that the actress has no problem at all with nudity. She says as much in an interview with the iconic magazine. “I celebrate nudity every day,” de la Huerta says. “It’s our first wardrobe… We did the photos with no makeup, and we both wanted them to have a very natural feeling.” Based on the above cover, it’s safe to say she’s accomplished that. Assuming one’s natural state is to be spread eagle on the beach, that is. The star posed for photographer Mario Sorrenti, and it’s clear she’s a big fan of his work. Says de la Huerta: “I did my first nude shoot with Mario when I was 17. He made me feel beautiful, and I really feel it was on that shoot that I overcame my fear of being naked. Mario is such an artist. He has taken photographs of me in which my body looks like a sculpture.”

Survivor Winner: Who is $1 Million Richer?

An Iowa sex therapist is reality TV’s newest millionaire. On last night’s season finale of Survivor: Philippines , Denise Stapley took home the show’s grand prize, brewing out Michael Skupin and former Facts of Life star Lisa Whelchel  in the process. “In Iowa, you can do a lot with this,” said host Jeff Probst upon presenting the check to Stapley, who referred to the win as “life changing.” Dawn – who actually played on all three tribes throughout the season – was voted the champion by a jury of her eight peers. Whelchel, the actress behind Blair Warmer in the 1980s sitcom, flew through the show with only two castaways aware of her identity. She earned Sprint”s $100,000 Player of the Season award, voted for by online the viewers.

WATCH: Kristen Stewart Talks About ‘The Honor’ Of Walter Salles’ ‘On The Road’ & Her Character’s Hungry Heart

Kristen Stewart says it was director Walter Salles’  passion for On The Road   that inspired her to sign on for the film. At the New York premiere for the film, the actress, who plays free-spirited Marylou  (a character based on Beat icon Neal Cassady’s onetime wife LuAnne Henderson), Stewart told me she was impressed by the immersive research that Salles did — including a 2011 documentary called Searching for On The Road — in preparation for adapting Jack Kerouac’s novel for the screen.  “There’s an honor to this story and to the project that is not typical in our business,” Stewart said. Salles is lucky to have her riding shotgun, too.  Hollywood has been trying to turn  On the Road into a movie since the year it was published, 1957, and Stewart’s immense star power was crucial to getting the job done. It was fun to congratulate him for getting top billing on the movie poster — a rare thing indeed for writers in Hollywood. Tina Fey And Amy Poehler Pimp Out The Golden Globes

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are not only co-hosts of the 70th Golden Globes this year, they’re also competitors. Both were nominated for Best Actress in a Television Musical or Comedy, with Fey duking it out with her counterpart for 30 Rock , while Poehler is up for the award for Park and Recreation . [ Related: Golden Globes Unveil 70th Edition Nominees ] But while the co-hosts won’t conceivably know the results until the envelope opens at the ceremony on January 13th, the pair are busy working together in the lead-up to the big event, and no doubt re-calling those good ol’ Saturday Night Live days. In this promo for the Globes, the duo are dressed in matching golden sparkly dresses and they both dish out cheesy Brit(ish) accents (until they don’t). Maybe they’re commenting on the resurgence of British-speak in Hollywood films reminiscent of the very early “golden days” of Hollywood? Who knows, but here’s a funny look at what may bode well for the Globes telecast after the New Year. [ Source: Huffington Post ]
