Evan Rachel Wood Clarifies Miley Cyrus Gay Joke

Evan Rachel Wood really wishes the world would take a collective chill pill. In reaction to Miley Cyrus’ new haircut (perhaps you’ve heard a thing or two dozen about it?), the actress joked around on Twitter and wrote: “I called it! Miley Cyrus is leaning toward gay.” Wood, a known bisexual , then deleted the message after receiving some backlash and posted the following explanation. “Ok. To be clear. I believe you should be able to joke and have a sense of humor about everything. And i hate explaining, but just to be clear, i dont judge people on how they look. Nor do i associate a hair style with sexuality. I myself am bisexual and have always ‘joked’ about miley giving me gay vibes. Not a bad thing! Just an observation. So i ‘joked’ when she cut her hair that it supported my case. But, i am not so close minded or into stereotypes or labeling. It was a joke. Period. could care less what gender she was attracted to. But dont hate me for supporting her in whatever She chooses. Its all fine by me. That is all.” It seems fine by Cyrus, too. She replied to Wood and simply wrote: “well said! Let’s be friends.” Everyone can relax now.

Nina Dobrev Covers Ocean Drive, Wants to Be a Bond Girl

Nina Dobrev is in the middle of filming The Vampire Diaries Season 4 . But the actress covers the latest Ocean Drive and tells the magazine that her ideal role goes above and beyond the character of Elena Gilbert. “I want to do a little bit of everything,” Dobrev tells the magazine. “My dream role is to do a James Bond film, or if they did another Lara Craft, or even a prequel Lara Croft, I’d want to do that, to get it out of my system. “Do you know the play August: Osage County ? They’re making it into a movie, and Julia Roberts and Meryl Streep are playing the moms. My dream role would be the daughter. I think they’re shooting it while I’m doing The Vampire Diaries , but that’s the kind of thing I love. Dee Snider to Paul Ryan: We’re Not Gonna Take You Using My Song!

Republicans. When will they learn. With some notable exceptions (Ted Nugent, Dave Mustaine, Hank Williams Jr. ), music stars seem far from keen on having their material used at GOP campaign rallies. Today, Dee Snider became the latest to decry such a move. He surely won’t be the last. Said a rep for the Twisted Sister rocker / Celebrity Apprentice star: “It was brought to my attention today that Paul Ryan has been using client Dee Snider’s composition ‘We’re Not Gonna Take It’ in his political campaign to become the Vice President of The United States of America. Dee does not support Paul Ryan. Accordingly, Dee has released this statement to Benjy Sarlin, campaign reporter for TPM in Washington, DC: ‘I emphatically denounce Paul Ryan’s use of my song ‘Were Not Gonna Take It’ as recorded by my band Twisted Sister. There is almost nothing on which I agree with Paul Ryan, except perhaps the use of the P90X.'” The hilarious footnote to that statement refers to Ryan’s personal training regimen … check out Paul Ryan shirtless , the man’s in good shape. In any case, Paul can cross Twisted Sister off the list. The way this is going, he’s going to cycle through dozens of jukebox heroes by election day. T.J. Jackson Made Permanent Co-Guardian of Michael Jackson’s Kids

T.J. Jackson is now sharing guardianship of Michael Jackson’s three children along with their grandmother Katherine Jackson. This arrangement was already in effect on a temporary basis, but was just made official by a judge in court today. T.J. will assume many of the day-to-day tasks involved in taking care of the children, including management of household personnel and security. T.J. has received enormous support from the family to take a guardianship role. Katherine Jackson herself has praised T.J., as have the children, who have reportedly considered him a father figure for years. No conflict there. The 34-year-old T.J. is Tito Jackson’s son and thus a cousin to Michael’s kids Prince, Paris and Blanket, despite being more than twice their age. The judge told T.J. in court to be mindful of the giant rift currently tearing apart the family and to make sure the kids aren’t adversely affected. Four of Michael’s siblings attempted to oust his estate’s executors last month, while someone may have orchestrated a kidnapping of Katherine. Tito and Jermaine Jackson later backed off their criticism of the estate, while Janet Jackson stood firm, and Debbie Rowe even weighed in on it. [Photo: WENN.com]

Tabloid: Kristen Stewart Nearing a Total Meltdown

We have an update on the whereabouts and the mental state of Kristen Stewart, and the latter is far from good. According to the latest issue of Us Weekly , the actress has been crashing often at her parents’ house “because they’re worried she can’t deal with this on her own.” She’s also been spending a lot of time with close friend Scout Taylor Compton, who recently Tweeted support for Stewart and sent the star her very best wishes. Yet, despite being surrounded by her loved one, Stewart remains a mess. Insiders close to the situation tell Us Weekly that Kristen “isn’t sleeping and stays up all night crying. She’s close to a total meltdown. [She] can’t do anything. [She’s] so distraught.” It probably doesn’t help that Stewart is in danger of seeing shirts that curse her off every time she leaves the house. Do you feel at all bad for Kristen Stewart? Do you think she’s being treated unfairly by the public?

Natalie Wood Death Certificate Officially Changed to Include "Undetermined Factors"

Natalie Wood’s death certificate has been changed to reflect some of the uncertainties and lingering questions surrounding the actress’ drowning. The document was amended earlier this month and shifts her death from an accidental drowning to “drowning and other undetermined factors .” The document states that circumstances of how Wood ended up in the waters off Catalina Island in November 1981 are ” not clearly established .” The changes occur nine months after sheriff’s homicide investigators renewed their inquiry into Wood’s death shortly before its 30th anniversary. Chief of Detectives William McSweeney said the decision to amend the death certificate was made by the coroner’s office. He wouldn’t go into detail. “I would just say undetermined is descriptive,” he said. McSweeney said detectives still have work to do on the case, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that a major shift is coming or necessarily ever will. “We don’t close these cases,” he said. “These cases have active periods and more passive periods. We’re moving toward the end of an active period.” Conflicting versions of what happened to Wood that night have cast suspicion on her actor-husband Robert Wagner , but he is not a suspect.

The multiple-time Emmy nominee walked the red carpet of last night’s For A Good Time, Call… premiere at Regal Union Square in New York City with noticeably short and light hair. Happy Birthday Hayden Panettiere, Brody Jenner and Usain Bolt!

Hayden Panettiere, Brody Jenner and Usain Bolt are among the many celebrities turning another year older and wiser today. Happy birthday, all! After a number of roles as a child star, Hayden leaped onto the small screen (and into fanboys’ hearts) as the amazing Claire Bennett in Heroes . Now 23, she returns to TV this fall in ABC’s Nashville . Brody Jenner, 29, is best know for getting caught up in the web of drama that was the hit MTV show The Hills for a good couple of seasons there. He’s kept a lower profile of late than his many famous siblings (Kylie and Kendall Jenner ) and step-siblings (Kourtney, Khloe and Kim Kardashian). Still, we see a star-studded night out in Hollywood in his future. Jamaican track star and fastest man ever Bolt, 26, just won three more Olympic gold medals in London to bring his career total to an amazing six. Interestingly, Brody’s father Bruce Jenner called out Bolt this month after the sprinter claimed he’s the best athlete to live. In any case, he’s pretty close. Also celebrating a birthday today: Sex and the City ‘s Kim Cattrall (56), Google co-founder Sergey Brin (39) and country star Kenny Rogers (74).
