Fans of the comedian Artie Lange know that the former Howard Stern co-host is as well known for his very public struggles with substance abuse as for his razor-sharp wit. In December, Lange tweeted that he was in treatment for his addictions to cocaine and heroin and hoped to be out of treatment and performing again soon. The 50-year-old had tested the limitations of his body over his many years of substance abuse, and fans were stunned to see that his nose had become had become badly misshapen due to decades of snorting various drugs . For several weeks, it looked as though Lange had fully committed himself to the hard work of recovery. He even vowed to do one show a month for which all proceeds would go to toward helping a fellow addict attend rehab. But now, a source close to the comic tells Radar Online that Lange has fallen off the wagon and is currently “in self-destruction mode.” Lange is due in court on January 30 for repeated probation violations. The insider says friends and family worry that he since he knows he’ll be sent to prison or court-ordered rehab, Lange has decided to throw caution to the wind in the weeks between now and then. “He knows he won’t survive drug court, so he’s going to party as much as much as he can until he gets thrown in jail or a year-long rehab,” the source says. “Even his sponsors from The Retreat [Lange’s most recent rehab center] know that he’s partying even though he’s denying it.” The situation has become so dire that Lange’s colleagues have taken to reaching out to him publicly on social media. “Even Richard Lewis reached out to him on Twitter begging him to get clean,” the insider revealed. “You know if Artie is tweeting at 4 a.m. he’s high.” “Artie, this is my 1000th request over decades to beg you to surrender to your addictions,” Lewis tweeted last week, sharing a photo of haggard-looking Lange in a New Jersey courtroom. “We had the most laughs sober. If you watch Teen Mom online , you know that over the years, Amber Portwood may have struggled harder than any the other girls in the franchise, which is really saying something. Earlier today, Cosmo published a new interview with Amber that may be her most candid to date. The troubled 26-year-old spoke to the mag about everything from her engagement to Matt Baier to her feelings toward her troubled co-stars. Unlike so many fans of Teen Mom and Teen Mom 2 , Amber doesn’t hate Farrah Abraham or Jenelle Evans, though she concedes that Baier probably to bang them both . Her thoughts about her co-stars are certainly interesting, but the most compelling part of the interview may be the portion in which Amber looks inward and describes her own battles with depression and other mental health issues. “I’m actually diagnosed,” Amber replied when asked about her recent revelation that she suffers from borderline personality disorder. “The borderline personality is a new diagnosis that I obviously don’t want to believe, but my therapist believes it. It’s hard. I was diagnosed with bipolar a long time ago. It’s really hard.” She went on to link her condition with her past addictions and violent behavior: “I think people don’t quite understand what it’s like to be bipolar and then have something like borderline personality on top of it, plus you have anxiety disorder. “I’ve just been screwed up since the beginning, which is a big reason why I used to self-medicate as well. I’m glad I have professional help now.” Amber adds that she initially struggled to keep her diagnoses a secret so as not to be judged by fans: “People don’t know about that because I tried to keep it secret. I was kind of embarrassed by it,” Amber says. “Now I’m older and stronger, and I understand that a lot of people deal with these things and that I should be open about it. That’s what I’m trying to do. “I’m still afraid to talk about it because I really don’t want to be judged as some person who can’t control herself.” Amber’s most compelling answer may have been her response to a question about what she would be doing with her life if she hadn’t become a reality television star. “Hell, I don’t know. I wouldn’t be on TV,” Portwood tells Cosmo. “I wouldn’t be in New York right now, that’s for sure. I think my life would be going OK, and I also don’t think that I would’ve been so heavy into drugs, but I think I would have been an addict probably.” Yes, Amber doesn’t blame her addictions entirely on fame, but she does seem to believe her problems wouldn’t have been so severe if Teen Mom hadn’t come into her life. However, she adds that the show also helped with recovery, as she was forced to relive her most embarrassing moments: “But I feel like Teen Mom also helped me get sober as well because I saw everything that I was doing on TV,” she says. “That completely shocked me, and I felt so horrible about it. I was disgusted with myself so it kind of helped me, yeah. It helped me want to get my head out of my ass, honestly.” These days it seems just about everyone involved with the franchise is talking about quitting Teen Mom . Amber, it seems, is still grateful for the way the show transformed her life.

Scott Weiland – the rock star best known as the lead singer of Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver – has reportedly passed away at the age of 48. Friend and Jane’s Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro broke the news moments ago in a series of social media posts: “Just learned our friend Scott Weiland has died,” Navarro tweeted. “So gutted, I am thinking of his family tonight.” The Los Angeles radio station KNAC confirmed the news shortly thereafter. Weiland’s cause of death of is unknown. It’s no secret that the rocker struggled with drug and alcohol abuse throughout his three-decade career, however. Many fans are speculating, perhaps justifiably, that his addictions may have contributed to his tragic, early demise. The highly-anticipated Nick Gordon-Dr. Phil McGraw interview finally aired today, and it contained a number of shocking moments. Gordon behaved erratically. He laughed, cried, admitted to being drunk, and at one point, he screamed that he hates Bobby Brown . One of the most troubling proclamations, however, came before Nick even appeared on camera. Sitting with Nick’s mother, Michelle Gordon, McGraw stated that he believes Nick will be dead within a week, unless he seeks immediate treatment for his addictions. Dr. Phil: Nick Gordon Will Die Without Treatment Until now, the media has focused primarily on Bobbi Kristina’s near-drowning , which has left the 21-year-old comatose, almost seven weeks after it occurred. Any talk of Gordon has revolved around the fact that he may be under investigation for attempted murder . We still don’t know if there was foul play involved in the tragic incident that may cost Bobbi Kristina her life, but after today’s interview, one thing is certain – Nick is a deeply unstable young man who might pose as much of a danger to others as he clearly poses to himself. Gordon has talked of suicide in recent weeks, and his addictions coupled with his obvious emotional distress could mean that he’s as much at risk as the woman he once claimed was his wife. However, the fact that Gordon is in danger in his own right, does not mean that he didn’t play a direct role in Bobbi’s near-drowning.
