Chris Brown Awarded Join Custody of Royalty, World Weeps For Little Girl’s Future

Earlier today, we reported that Chris Brown and Nia Guzman would face off in court to determine who would receive custody of their 1-year-old daughter, Royalty. It turns out, we were only half right. Nia showed up in court, and Chris was a no-show. But don’t worry, he was still received the 50/50 joint custody decision he was hoping for, because the world is a terrible place and you can do whatever you want if you’re rich. In fairnedd, Nia was swinging for the fences and asking that Chris receive only supervised visitation rights. That might seem bitter and petty she aptly pointed out that Chris has a history of violence and does dumb things like bring Royalty on tour with him . The judge wasn’t having it, and not only did he rule that Chris and Nia would share custody, he also decided that Nia will continue to receive $2,500/month in child support (She was requesting $15,000.) and must cease talking trash about Chris online. Yes, Chris somehow raised Johnny Cochran and Robert Kardashian from the dead, because that is quite the victory for a guy who couldn’t even be bothered to show up for court. You might be thinking that Chris couldn’t attend because he was busy touring, and you would be half right. He performed in Dallas last night – and the hearing was three hours away in Houston today. But don’t worry, Chris has finally made the trip. Royalty will be heading home with him this afternoon. And by “home,” we mean to his next tour stop in Houston.

Nicole Arbour Defends Fat-Shaming Video: I’m Not a Bully!

Nicole Arbour was just looking for a laugh, people. The YouTube star found herself in scalding hot water last week after posing a video (below) titled “Dear Fat People…” Nicole Arbour Addresses “Fat People,” Denies Existence of Body Shaming The footage was comprised of Arbour comparing overweight individuals to zombies… slamming all body image trends online… and offering up such nuggets to the obese as: “If you want to be positive to your body, work out and eat well.” In response, YouTube actually took down Arbour’s video for a brief period of time and  Arbour was fired from her job as a choreographer of a movie. But in an interview with the BBC, Arbour says she ought to be commended for her “noble” intentions, which were to “make people laugh.” She also says she was just trying to bring awareness to the serious topic of obesity. “We really care about them and we want them to be healthy because I’m selfish and I want them around,” she quipped in her Q&A. And when the interviewer asked if making jokes at the expense of fat people was “cheap,” Nicole replied: “20 million views isn’t that cheap.”  We’re not sure if Arbour understands the meaning of the word “cheap” here. “I’m an equal opportunity offender and it all goes back to comedy,” Nicole concludes. “I think everyone is being a little too sensitive about everything… “I don’t shame people. It was an act. It was one bit. I don’t hate anyone. I don’t shame anyone. I don’t actually believe in bullying at all.” Watch the video above and decide for yourself whether you think Nicole Arbour is a bully.

U.S. Shuts Down Web Sites in Piracy Crackdown

In what appears to be the latest phase of a far-reaching federal crackdown on online piracy of music and movies, the Web addresses of a number of sites that facilitate illegal file-sharing were seized this week by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, a division of the Department of Homeland Security. Users of the Web site torrent-finder.com saw this message after the site was seized on Friday. By Friday morning, visiting the addresses of a handful of sites that either hosted unauthorized copies of films and music or allowed users to search for them elsewhere on the Internet produced a notice that said, in part: “This domain name has been seized by ICE — Homeland Security Investigations, pursuant to a seizure warrant issued by a United States District Court.” In taking over the sites’ domain names, or Web addresses, the government effectively redirected any visitors to its own takedown notice. “ICE office of Homeland Security Investigations executed court-ordered seizure warrants against a number of domain names,” said Cori W. Bassett, a spokeswoman for ICE, in a statement. “As this is an ongoing investigation, there are no additional details available at this time.” Among the domains seized were torrent-finder.com and those of three sites that specialized in music: onsmash.com, rapgodfathers.com and dajaz1.com. TorrentFreak, a news blog about BitTorrent — a file-sharing system that has tended to elude the authorities because it is decentralized — said that at least 70 other addresses had been seized, most belonging to sites related to counterfeit clothing, DVDs and other goods. On Friday, torrent users were already discussing new sites that had popped up to serve them. The takedown notices are similar to those that went up on nine sites in June as part of an initiative against Internet counterfeiting and piracy that the agency called Operation in Our Sites. added by: Itsbatman_Durr
