Hard to believe, but it’s been 16 years since Michael Phelps put the swimming world on notice – and became a household name. Becoming the youngest male to make the U.S. Olympic team in nearly 7 decades, the Baltimore Bullet quickly became a legend. This year, he will compete in his fifth Olympic games, and needless to say, a lot has changed in his life in the years since he first hit the global stage. In February of last year, Phelps got engaged to Nicole Johnson . In May, Phelps welcomed his first child , a boy named Boomer. Needless to say, he’s come a long way since the brash, occasionally trouble-prone young man we met so many years ago. And now, there are rumors that Phelps, still only 31, may have recently passed another milestone in his personal life. You may have seen the headlines pop up in your social media feed: Something along the lines of ” Is Michael Phelps Married ?” Well, as it happens, that question mark is there for a reason. Because, as far as anyone knows, Phelps and Johnson did not get hitched in a quickie pre-Rio ceremony, as some folks are claiming. We imagine the couple will walk down the aisle shortly after the games, but thus far, they have yet to announce any specific plans. And why rush things at this point? They already have a baby together, and despite global health concerns, Phelps is going to the Olympics, not war. They may as well wait, and hopefully Phelps will come home with some new hardware to wear to the ceremony. Just kidding; there’s no way the guy could walk with all the medals he’s won around his neck at this point. So our premature congrats go out to Michael and Nicole! So striking is the 28-year-old British chanteuse without makeup that she can walk around undetected in metropolitan areas around the world. Adele is on the Vancouver leg of her tour, and on Tuesday she popped into Catfe , a restaurant where customers can enjoy food and drink. But anyway: One of the cafe’s baristas, Leona Morrison, was approached by Adele, and at first had no idea who the singer was. The barista informed Adele that the establishment was at maximum capacity due to a 12-year-old’s birthday party. What happened at that point was epic. Morrison told the Vancouver Sun: “My co-worker was about to tell her that she looked like Adele, when she told us that she is Adele, and she asked if she could come in, if even for a few minutes.” “We said … OK.” Adele proved to be a hit with both the cats and the birthday party attendees. She played with Larry the cat, who managed to get adopted by a family. “I think she went up to Larry because he was available, and also he’s just amenable,” Morrison said. “He’s a friendly guy. Digital Sp y reports that the British singer has been cast in The Death and Life of John F Donovan with Natalie Portman, Jessica Chastain and Kit Harington. A source with knowledge of the situation told the Daily Star: “Adele doesn’t want to be a full-time actress, but she enjoyed working with Dolan and he thought she could bring a lot to the screen.” Adele will shoot scenes during a break from tour. Bravo has unveiled the first teaser for The Real Housewives of New York City Season 8, which premieres on April 6 at 9/8c and which will bring back such veteran stars as Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan, Luann de Lesseps, Carole Radziwill, Dorinda Medley and Bethenny Frankel.
