The Bachelorette Recap: How (Fantasy) Suite It Is … Mostly

Three men. Two roses. The Bachelorette journey of Rachel Lindsay has nearly reached its end. Which men would continue with her on it? The Bachelorette spoilers revealed this ages ago, but now it’s time to see if the predictions prove correct, or if we’re in for an epic twist. Watch The Bachelorette Season 13 Episode 9 Online Peter Kraus, Eric Bigger and Bryan Abasolo are the last men standing on ABC, as Bachelorette spoilers suggested all season long.  But what next? How did the penultimate episode play out? On  The Bachelorette Season 13 Episode 9 , Rachel took the lucky trio home to Dallas – a step typically reserved for just the top two.  There, Peter reveals that he is indeed falling in love with her, and Rachel reciprocates that feeling, even as he’s holding back a little. Rachel’s mom (her dad, a federal judge, is likely not filming for that very reason) asks more than enough questions for the both of them. Both Peter and the Lindsays are questioning the admittedly bizarre notion that getting engaged in two months is normal, and it’s refreshing. When Peter tells her mom that he’s not going to ask for her blessing to marry her because it’s not time yet, well … what can you say? He doesn’t seem to like Rachel any less, he’s just not as swept up in this admittedly ridiculous dating process we’ve come to accept. Eric Bigger, her next suitor, has not met a girlfriend’s family in seven years, and it shows in how nervous he is heading into this date. Surprisingly, it was when he made himself truly vulnerable by talking about his past struggles and emotions that he really got comfortable. Rachel’s mom does give Eric her blessing, even if it seems apparent that things with Bigger have not reached quite the same stage. He’s honest and sincere, though, including when it comes to how slowly things have been building up and how apprehensive he still is. Finally, Bryan Abasolo meets Rachel’s family, and the confidence that Peter believes is fake, arrogant swagger impresses them a lot. Bryan tells them that he truly loves Rachel, but they give him the third degree anyway, at which point Rachel pushes back against them. Can love really happen as fast as this show makes you think? Her family doubts it, even if that bothers her, and it’s surprisingly candid. Abasolo, to his credit, strikes a good balance between the factions, showing his feelings toward Rachel without pushing it too assertively. Then, having already met the family, all three men jet off to La Rioja, Spain, as the Fantasy Suite dates are next up in this year’s timeline. Who will accept that coveted card?! Eric is first up, and at the end of his date, finally manages to tell Rachel he loves her. She returns the favor, and the Fantasy Suite is on. Peter is up next, and if there was any tension beneath the surface of their date in Dallas, it’s no longer beneath anything right now. Oh no. This is all out in the open. Peter’s proposal-anxiety is front and center as he says popping the question is basically an extension of marriage, and he’s getting there. As in not there yet. Rachel cries, obviously not seeing this quite the same way, and we’re left hanging on a cliff until the finale in two weeks. Will she make the right decision? Kanye West on LAX Photographer Beatdown: My Grandfather Was Dying …

Kanye West was oddly friendly and candid with paparazzi today (seriously, it’s not April 1) even explaining why he pummeled a photographer in July. Kanye West Attacks Photographer ‘Ye said that one thing he didn’t get to mention this week on Jimmy Kimmel Live (one of the very, very few things) was the context behind the fight (above). The rapper says the photographer, Daniel Ramos, set him up, was antagonizing him, and it happened just as he learned his grandfather was dying. Whether this excuses that or his other big “hits” is an open question, but at least he wasn’t talking about being from Chicago and issuing any threats. Other highlights from Kanye’s surprising chat ? Saying he’s misunderstood at times (we think). Fearing North West will have to deal with this. Filling up his admittedly SICK Lamborghini. Telling the paps, “We in this together.” Yes, Kanye really made that last comment, which is even more amazing in light of the fact that one of the douchebags was clearly trying to egg him on. No word if/when he’ll revert to … this guy: Kanye West on Jimmy Kimmel Live (Part 6)

Rambo Video Game Trailer: Shoot ‘Em Up Like It’s 1982!

When I woke up this morning my first thought was, “man I really wish there was a new Rambo game I could play and relive all those fabulous 80s era memories” and like manna from heaven… here it is!  Check out the  Rambo game trailer below! Rambo Video Game Trailer Admittedly, I have not kept up (read: watched anything beyond the first twenty minutes of the first movie) with the  Rambo  franchise so I really couldn’t tell you which movie this game was based on, if any at all. However, I can say that Stallone has never looked better. His skin is so smooth with just the right amount of stubble. Well done. Truly. I am puzzled as to why the world thought we needed a  Rambo game but I’m sure there are people out there who still like him.  Looking for more video game videos? How about this  GTA V  gameplay trailer ! So what do you think of a  Rambo game? Discuss below!

REVIEW: John Cameron Mitchell’s Rabbit Hole Is Sensitive But Not Bloodless

Perhaps the only thing harder than making a movie about young parents riven by grief after losing a child is sitting through one. And for that reason alone, Rabbit Hole won’t make for a particularly cheery night out. But director John Cameron Mitchell — adapting David Lindsay-Abaire’s play — has a surprisingly deft touch with this admittedly downbeat material; he builds dramatic intensity in subtle layers, rather than slapping it on with a trowel. Rabbit Hole is so unassuming, in fact — it’s filled with delicately calibrated performances and nuanced moments of connection and disaffection — that the cumulative effect is a bit underwhelming. But you can’t fault Mitchell’s instincts; he’s adamant about understating this material rather than sending it over the top, and that makes all the difference.

New Republic Finds ‘Insidious’ and ‘Pathetic Sexism’ on Morning Joe, Parker Spitzer

REVIEW: Less Magic, More Brooding in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1

J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter saga began as a series of children’s books and evolved into young-adult ones: The series grew up right in step with that first group of readers, even though, of course, people of all ages continue to love them today. The movies based on those books have offered a concurrent, dovetailing kind of pleasure: The joy of watching young actors grow up on-screen, learning as they go and, quite surprisingly, finding new dimensions in their characters each time out. Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint — as Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley — haven’t become worn out by their roles, as the admittedly older Twilight stars have. Who knows what their post- Harry Potter careers will bring? The body of work they’ve already amassed — up to and including this almost-final installment in the franchise, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 — can stand by itself. Over the years, the magic in their bones has only grown stronger.

Elizabeth Banks on The Next Three Days, Prison Panic and Sympathy for Demi Lovato

Elizabeth Banks is terrified of going to prison. The self described “goody two shoes” knows that anyone is just one little moment away from an event — she cites Brandy’s traffic accident as an example — that can mutate into something far more sinister, changing the course of a person’s life forever.

Dwayne Johnson Should Let The Rock Star in Faster

God bless Dwayne Johnson for the way he’s broken free from his albatross-like WWE persona, but the admittedly talented actor might be making a big mistake with his latest screen credit. To wit: How can anyone but “The Rock” actually star in Faster ?
