Jaden Smith Wants to Fix "The Whole Planet Earth"

Jaden Smith made many headlines in early January when he wore a skirt for a Louis Vutton campaign. But the 17-year old actor/rapper doesn’t comprehend what all the fuss over his occasional fashion choices are all about. Because he doesn’t see gender when it comes to fashion. “I feel like people are kind of confused about gender norms,” Smith tells the April issue of British GQ Style, adding: “I feel like people don’t really get it. I’m not saying that I get it, I’m just saying that I’ve never seen any distinction.” To be specific and to be clear, the very concept of gendered garments escapes Smith. “I don’t see man clothes and woman clothes,” he says. “I just see scared people and comfortable people.” Among his more eccentric fashion selections, Smith donned a dress last year while accompanying actress Amandla Stenberg to the prom. I really just want to create a utopia on this planet,” he tells GQ Style. “I really want to make it so that people don’t have to die to pay bills and just work to survive. So that they can work to actually live and do the things that they love to do.” That’s an admirable goal and we fully support it. But as long as Smith promises not to make an After Earth sequel, we’ll be happy.

Adam Levine Calls Out Lady Gaga in Surprise Twitter Feud

The Voice coach and Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine has never been one to mince words, but his surprise Twitter feud with Lady Gaga was, well, surprising. He recently tweeted about an unidentified artist: “Ugh… recycling old art for a younger generation doesn’t make you an artist. It makes you an art teacher.” Adam Levine-Lady Gaga Twitter Feud “I unabashedly love writing and performing pop music for both myself AND everyone around me. That’s It. It doesn’t need any extra sauce.” Lady Gaga, presuming this was about her, responded: “uh oh guys the art police is here.” It seems relatively obvious that The Voice mentor was referring to Gaga – she certainly seemed to think so – and her artistic “Applause” music video . In it, she references a number of famous works of art, such as the 1957 film The Seventh Seal and Sandro Botticelli’s 1486 painting, “The Birth of Venus.” Her new studio album, due out in November, is also called ARTPOP and her live performances have increasingly embodied a performance art theme. It’s also not the first time Gaga has been accused of aping others’ art. From Azealia Banks to Madonna, many have questioned her work’s originality. What do you think of Adam’s comments?

Happy 45th Birthday, Will Smith!

He’s almost better known as the father of Willow and Jaden Smith these days than as a movie star himself, but Will Smith is known as something else today: A birthday boy! The new 45-year old continues to battle against divorce rumors, insisting all is fine between him and wife Jada. He was also responsible for After Earth this summer, a film dubbed the worst in cinematic history by some critics. Let’s not remind him of that on his big day. Let’s simply raise a glass instead and toast the A-lister and former Oscar nominee. Submit your very best birthday wishes on September 25 for this star and the following ones as well: Catherine Zeta-Jones (44) Scottie Pippen (48) Michael Douglas (69) Barbara Walters (84)

Penn Badgley and Zoe Kravitz: It’s Over!

Penn Badgley and Zoe Kravitz’s romance is officially a thing of the past. The couple recently ended their two-year relationship, Us says. The Gossip Girl actor, 26, and the After Earth actress, 24, are “all good,” a source says of the exes. “It wasn’t a sad breakup.” So that’s good at least. The couple, who shared an apartment together in NYC, are focused on their careers for the time being. “It just wasn’t working,” the source reiterates. “It really did end on good terms, though.” “They are both at two different stages in their careers,” a source says of Penn and Zoe, despite their chemistry. “They just didn’t have time for each other.” Badgley previously dated his Gossip Girl costar Blake Lively from 2007 to 2010. Zoe was linked to her X-Men: First Class costar Michael Fassbender.

GTFOHWTBS: Vivica A. Fox Says Will Smith’s New Movie After Earth Is “Awesome”

Sorry Aunt Viv we think somebody is riding Will’s tip. Vivica A. Fox Says “After Earth” Movie Is Awesome According to TMZ Vivica A. Fox should’ve gotten busted this weekend … for excessive chugging of Will Smith flavored Kool-Aid — after actually claiming “After Earth” is a great movie. Vivica looked our camera guy dead in the eye and said … unsolicited mind you … “I totally recommend for you guys to go check it out this weekend starring Will Smith, Jaden Smith. It’s awesome.” Vivica couldn’t stop gushing. It’s kind of hysterical considering ‘Earth’ has been universally panned by critics who’ve said things like, “Summer 2013 has its first bomb” … and, “Yes, it’s that bad.” They say Will and Jada are swingers. Maybe Viv is just giving her lover props.
