R&B singer Robin Thicke was arrested in New York City this afternoon for marijuana possession. The Love After War singer was arrested after police officers saw him smoking a joint while sitting in a Cadillac Escalade parked near Gramercy Park in Manhattan. The New York Daily News reports that Thicke was friendly throughout the arrest and even took photographs with the cops and signed autographs. Thicke is married to actress Paula Patton and his father is actor Alan Thicke, who is best known for playing Jason Seaver in the long-running sitcom “Growing Pains.” Read more at the NY Daily News. Claire Sinclaire says she’ll give Marston Hefner , Hugh’s son and her boyfriend, a chance to come clean about their recent fight before she presses charges. The 2011 Playmate of the Year does NOT want to see Marston Hefner, who allegedly assaulted her Sunday night, go through any legal turmoil. Sinclair, who was seen arriving at the Pasadena, Calif., P.D., to obtain an emergency protective order earlier Monday, does have a few stipulations. “All I want,” she told E! News , “is for Marston to give me a public apology and I want him to get psychiatric help. I want him to admit that he hit me more than once.” “If he can do all of that and get help, I will never press charges. That’s all that I want at this point. Playboy let me know this afternoon that he will be doing this.” “I just hope they stick to their word.” Meanwhile, an emergency protective order typically is good for three to five days, giving the petitioner time to file a request for a temporary restraining order. Marston is the older of two sons his famous dad had with ex-wife (and ’89 Playmate of the Year) Kimberley Conrad. He was released from custody this morning. With Bobbi Kristina Brown out of the hospital, but with family members still concerned over her well-being , Bobby Brown has released his first public statement regarding his 18-year old daughter with Whitney Houston. “My daughter did visit with doctors at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles,” said the singer, seen below touching down in Los Angeles to be there for his child.
Whitney Houston, one of the most successful female artists of all-time, died at the Beverly Hills Hilton Hotel today. She was 48. The singer’s rep confirmed the news this evening to The Associate Press, with insiders saying a member of Houston’s entourage discovered her body late in the afternoon; a hotel employee called 911; and paramedics arrived to find Whitney unresponsive. She was pronounced dead at 3:55 local time. Beverly Hill Police Lt. Mark Rosen said there was “no obvious signs of criminal intent,” though no cause of death has been determined and detectives have already started a full investigation. Houston leaves behind a daughter, Bobbi Kristina. The two-time Emmy and six-time Grammy Award winner sold over 200 million albums worldwide. She had battled alcohol and drug addiction – last seeking treatment in early 2011 – for many years prior to her death and was spotted out twice in Los Angeles over the last week, first with occasional boyfriend Ray J and then with a pal on Thursday night. Whitney was staying at the hotel in anticipation of Clive Davis’ annual pre-Grammy party, which was scheduled to take place there last that night. It has since been canceled.
