Beloved vegan based food company Impossible Foods had a brand new product that could even fool a cow. They’ve added a realistic looking “ground beef” vegan burger to their list of products. The not-so-meaty option is the second to come from the Silicon Valley company and was released on Monday during CES in Las Vegas. Impossible Foods, founded in 2011, hopes to have a raw ‘ground beef’ option in stores by the end of the year. The cost will be around the same as USDA premium ground beef. Last I checked, Alessandra Ambrosio was 36, which is pretty much retirement age in supermodel years. And oh yeah, she’s also got two kids. But somehow her body still looks just as good as it did 15 years ago. I don’t know how she does it, but at this rate, Alessandra’s going to do the impossible for a supermodel and/or mom: stay an instant pants fire into her 40s. And I for one wish her luck.
Right on the heels of news that Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth married after all comes another cause for celebration in Arkansas: Joseph Duggar and Kendra Caldwell got engaged! The 22-year-old and his 18-year-old fiancee announced their courtship just a few months ago, and just made things even more official. When he proposed … at Joy-Anna Duggar’s wedding! People magazine was the first publication to confirm that he popped the question right after his little sister, 19, walked down the aisle. The pair, who met through their church, confirmed it. “We are super excited. It’s great to not be courting anymore, now we’re engaged!” Joseph Duggar and his beaming bride-to-be shared. “I’m so happy and so shocked. There’s so many words I want to say, but just shocked,” says Kendra, while Joseph revealed: “I was definitely nervous going into it, but I wasn’t afraid that she was going to say no, because she has said, ‘I’m just waiting on you!’” Not a lot of marriage proposals get turned down in Duggar Nation, it’s true. A courtship, after all, is basically a precursor to an engagement. When news of Joseph Duggar and Kendra Caldwell courting first surfaced in March, few expected they would not get engaged soon. We just weren’t expecting quite this soon! “We are so excited to share the news with others that we are courting,” Joseph said then. “Our families are close friends through church.” “This has allowed Kendra and me to get to know each other. She’s the best!” Duggar added, and obviously, the feeling was quite mutual. “I’m looking forward to getting to spend more time with Joseph as we take this exciting step toward a new season in life,” Kendra added. “It’s a really wonderful moment!” Counting On Season 4, featuring Joy-Anna and Austin’s wedding, and Joseph asking Kendra’s dad’s permission to court, begins June 12. Not much of a spoiler to say that the scene teased in the Counting On Season 4 trailer ends up with a positive result for Joe in the end. As for talk that Joseph got Kendra Caldwell pregnant before marriage and that’s why this is being fast-tracked even by Duggar standards? It makes for great gossip … but that’s likely all it is. The Duggars stick to their guns when it comes to their dating and courtship rules. Much as we’d all love a great rebellion story along those lines, we’ll have to be content with mini-scandals like Jinger wearing shorts . Probably for the best. Kendra and her sister Lauren both captured the attention of Counting On fans during Jinger Duggar’s wedding episode last season. The sisters, along with Joy-Anna’s now-husband Austin Forsyth, all helped assemble a large “V” made out of roses for that wedding. When that installment aired on TLC, the prevailing wisdom among the fans who watch Counting On online was exactly this scenario: Joseph Duggar and Kendra Caldwell were secretly courting, or getting to know each other in anticipation of that very strong possibility. Amber Portwood … well, the girl has been through some stuff. She got pregnant at 16, of course, and from there she dealt with severe addiction problems, severe relationship problems, really just so many problems . Eventually she went to prison and got clean and straightened out a bit, but soon after she returned home, she began dating disgusting douchebag, Matt Baier, and so everything has gone all to hell again. But while we know so much about all of that, one thing that Amber doesn't talk about much is her father, who tragically passed away in 2014 . In this new sneak peek from Teen Mom OG, she's changing that. In the clip, Amber is hanging with Matt, Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra down in Puerto Rico. They're lounging around outside, and a producer points out that Amber and Catelynn seem more like cousins than reality show co-stars. Amber points out that that's because they have similar histories — parents who worked multiple jobs just to pay the bills, and parents who suffer from addiction. She adds that her own mother had to work so much because her father was an alcoholic, but she quickly adds that she loved her dad very much, and she doesn't want to say anything bad about him. Matt chimes in to talk about his own alcoholic father, and Amber, who's becoming visibly upset, asks if they can change the subject. Her gem of a guy ignores her, and he only stops when she starts crying. “I took care of my dad when he was f-cking dying,” Amber tells them through tears, but instead of continuing the story, she walks away, telling them “I can't f-cking do this.” As she walks off with a producer, Matt explains to Catelynn and Tyler that her father's death “hits her sometimes, like it'll hit her out of nowhere, and it breaks her heart. Meanwhile, Amber discusses her father, who died awaiting a liver transplant — his own was destroyed after years of drinking. “He told me he had eight months to live,” she says, but “he f-cking lived for ten years. He was in pain every f-cking day, and that man stayed alive and told me he was waiting for me to get married.” Unfortunately, he didn't make it. How heartbreaking is this? Amber's story also does the impossible in that it makes last week's Las Vegas wedding disaster with Matt even worse. If her father was trying to live long enough to see her get married, then you know that has to be a huge deal for her. And since Matt is obviously aware of her feelings about her father, he had to know that. So for him to try to force her to get married in Las Vegas, away from her family and while she obviously has some bittersweet feelings about the idea of a wedding … It's really just reprehensible, even more so than before.
