Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose have reason to celebrate tonight: They are the proud new parents of a baby boy! The couple welcomed Sebastian Taylor Thomaz into their universe this afternoon, as the proud father announced via Twitter: “Happy Birthday!!! Everyone welcome this perfect young man into the world.” Rose confirmed she was expecting at the MTV Video Music Awards in September and went on to say she would have an all-natural water birth. It’s unclear if that actually took place, but we send this family our best wishes either way!
Rihanna’s been called many things, good and bad, over the years … but the second coming of Princess Diana has never been one of them. Until now. The 25-year-old singer ‘s face is digitally stitched to match the visage of the late Princess of Wales on the latest cover of the UK’s Sunday Times Magazine. If their goal was to generate buzz? Mission accomplished! How did they link Rihanna and Princess Di, the mother of Prince William, and not the more obvious figure of Kate Middleton ? Kim Kardashian would like to be clear: she is committed to her family’s reality show. And to pointless blog posts. Following an interview with Dujour magazine – in which Kim hinted at some kind of “evolution” in life and some people took it to mean she was quitting Keeping Up with the Kardashians – the pregnant star took to her blog to clarify this monumental story. “We are extremely proud of the show and all of us are staying on through at least season 10,” Kim writes , adding something that ought to make Kanye West and her unborn baby feel simply fantastic: “The show remains to be my number 1 priority and it’s a big part of my life and I enjoy every moment of it.” So what does Kardashian have planned next?!? “I have many goals that I still need to reach and accomplish and I (like so many of you) don’t know where my life will be in the next couple of years, but I’m looking forward to continuing this journey.” Phew. Former WWE Heavyweight champion Jack Swagger was pulled over for speeding in Biloxi, Mississippi last night… but his problems with the law only increased from there. Authorities tell TMZ that Swagger (real name: Jacob Hager) had just left a Smackdown taping when the cops determined he was driving under the influence and in possession of marijuana . He was therefore taken into custody and charged with the misdemeanors of DUI, marijuana possession and speeding. The wrestler left on his own recognizance after a short while and the WWE has issued a simple statement that reads: “Mr. Swagger is responsible for his own personal actions.”
LeAnn Rimes is NOT pregnant, the singer’s rep insists, despite the rampant rumors on the Internets this afternoon that Mrs. Eddie Cibrian is expecting. She has put on some weight lately, changed her hair, and visited the OBGYN with Cibrian, leading some celebrity gossip sites to inevitably jump the gun. Then there was a Star source who divulged: “LeAnn is staying coy, but her friends say she’s beyond excited to be having a baby. That’s why she didn’t have a single margarita in Cabo over Christmas and New Year’s.” “Normally she can’t get enough!” That last part we believe, and there’s no denying that she stopped dying her hair … or would probably love to stick it to Brandi Glanville by getting pregnant. Still, her rep says it just ain’t the case . For now, the 30-year-old is focusing on her job as stepmom to Cibrian and Glanville’s sons Mason, 9, and Jake, 5. That’s a pretty good gig in and of itself. We wouldn’t expect the Grammy winner to wait too much longer to get pregnant, either, given the family environment within which she now resides. Folks in Durham, North Carolina have reason to celebrate today. Jabari Parker, considered by many to be the best high school senior in the nation, announced this afternoon that he will attend Duke University in 2013, instantly boosting the Blue Devils’ title chances a year from now. Parker is a 6’8″ forward who attends Simeon Career Academy in Chicago. His all-around game has been compared to players such as Grant Hill and he’s considered a surefire top pick in the 2014 NBA Draft. In the end, Parker selected Duke over Michigan State, BYU, Florida and Stanford.
