Further fueling rumors that the attention-sloring couple is planning a $20 million mega-wedding to take place sometime soon , Kimmy Cakes was spotted out in Miami this afternoon rocking a massive-size ring on her pinky finger that looks a little more than a whole lot like an engagement ring. Since Kim STILL isn’t even divorced from her dumped Hump soon-to-be ex hubby, it would make sense that she’s not wearing the ring where it belongs….on her ring finger. David Viens, Chef Who Cooked His Wife, Found Guilty of Murder

One of the more gruesome trials in recent memory has come to an end. Earlier this afternoon, David Viens – a Los Angeles chef who admitted to police that he cooked his wife’s remains for four days – was found guilty of second-degree murder. He faces 15 years in prison. The crime took place in 2009. Once in custody, Viens said he and his wife Dawn had gotten into an argument the night prior to her passing. He admitted to tying her up and placing duct tape over her mouth before the couple went to bed. When he awoke in the morning, Dawn was dead and Viens panicked, insisting he never intended to kill her. As a result, he boiled his wife’s 105-pound body in a 55-gallon drum and even dumped some of the evidence in a grease pit at his restaurant. In a recorded interview with authorities that was played for the jury, Viens says: “I just slowly cooked [the body] and I ended up cooking her for four days.” The body of Dawn Viens was never found.

Avalanna Routh, Toddler Known as "Mrs. Bieber," Passes Away from Cancer

Justin Bieber is mourning the loss of his biggest and cutest fan today. Avalanna Routh , referred to by many who knew her as “Mrs. Bieber,” succumbed this afternoon to a long battle with cancer. She was six years old. Avalanna Routh and Justin Bieber Pictures In February, due to a persistent Facebook campaign, a visit was arranged between Routh and Bieber in New York City. The two spent hours there playing Candyland and exchanging playful kisses and hugs. “just got the worst news ever,” Bieber Tweeted after learning of Avalanna passing. “one of the greatest spirits i have ever known is gone. please pray for her family and for her. …  RIP Avalanna. i love you” Jessica Biel also honored Routh this month at the Stand Up to Cancer fundraiser, relaying her story to viewers and later telling the patient on Twitter: “you’re my hero.” Our thoughts go out to Avalanna Routh’s family.

Yunel Escobar Eye Black Scandal: Shortstop Apologizes for Gay Slur

Yunel Escobar has issued an apology for one of the stranger scandals we’ve seen recently in the world of sports. The Toronto Blue Jays shortstop donned eye black for his team’s game against the Boston Red Sox on Saturday, scribbling Spanish words across the outside that translate roughly to “faggot.” The ball player was suspended three games for the action. “I feel bad,” he told the media this afternoon in response to the incident. “I’m leaving my team for something I didn’t intend to do. I have nothing against the gay community and honestly I’m sorry… It was just a joke and it wasn’t directed to anyone in particular… “It’s just something that’s been said around amongst Latinos. It’s not something that’s meant to be offensive. For us, it didn’t have the significance to the way it’s being interpreted right now. It’s a word used often within teams. … I agree with the suspension and don’t have any problem with it.” Escobar, who is hitting only .251 this season, will forfeit about $92,000 as a result of the suspension. A portion of those funds will go to GLAAD.

Anna Paquin Gives Birth to Twins!

Congratulations are very much in order for Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer: the famous couple is the proud new parents to twins! Reps for the True Blood stars confirmed this afternoon that “the babies were born a few weeks early, but are in good health and both Mom and Dad are overjoyed.” The kids mark the first children for Paquin, who married her 42-year old colleague in August 2010. Moyer, meanwhile, has a daughter (Lilac, 10) and son (Billy, 12), from previous relationships. The actress and actor just wrapped Season 5 of True Blood and now have time to relax with their new additions before jumping back in to the filming. We wish them the very best!

Michael Clarke Duncan Cause of Death: Respiratory Failure

According to the official death certificate for Michael Clarke Duncan, the 54-year old actor passed away one week ago from respiratory failure. Obtained by TMZ, the document confirms the initial belief that Duncan suffered anoxic encephalopathy (severe lack of oxygen to the brain) in the aftermath of his July 13 heart attack, during which he was revived through CPR by fiancee Omarosa Manigaul. Duncan’s organs were severely – permanently, as it turned out – damaged by the episode. Other underlying causes for this tragedy were listed as: ventricular fibrillation (irregular quivering heartbeat), acute myocardial infarction (heart attack) and organ nodules (sarcoidosis). Duncan was laid to rest this afternoon at Forest Lawn cemetery in Hollywood. The ceremony was attended by such stars as Tom Hanks, Kimberly Elise, Holly Robinson Peete, Bill Duke, Diane Ladd and Vivica A. Fox. Our thoughts continue to go out to his loved ones.

June Shannon may have four daughters by four different men , but the Here Comes Honey Boo Boo matriarch scoffs at the notion that her family is only pulling in $4,000 per episode. TMZ spoke to Shannon not long after reports surfaced online that she and her kids were earning in the love four figures each week for their wildly popular TLC reality show. June denied the figure, actually laughing at the claim. How much has she banked off her embarrassing eccentric brood? June would merely say: “We’re making memories to last a lifetime.” We doubt she was being coy. She just probably can’t count that high.
