These pictures of Christina Aguilera performing the other day are a little more like it, she still looks kinda like an older Celine Dion , but at least she’s wearing some slutty booty shorts to offset all the clown make up. I’m not a big fan of the pantyhose under the short shorts though, it just seems like a waste of time and energy to me. Don’t be shy princess, let it all hang out. By James Montgomery Christina Aguilera performs at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards Photo: Christopher Polk/Getty Images Christina Aguilera got futuristic, funky and downright freaky at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards, performing a supercharged medley of songs from her forthcoming Bionic album — which comes out Tuesday — that hit hard and probably got millions of people all hot and bothered. She kicked things off sitting down in a gilded throne, decked out in a diamond-encrusted one-piece, looking very much like a 23rd-century queen, and began rapping the opening lines of the title track from her album. She then descended to the stage and, surrounded by a crew of leather-clad dancers began throwing punches while laser blasts resounded through the audience (bonus points for the Iron Man-esque light pods she wore on the palms of her hands.) After a bit more strutting, Aguilera’s dancers surrounded her, and the electronic thump of first single “Not Myself Tonight” blared loud and proud. As steam poured from the stage, Xtina belted out the chorus, getting low and singing for the rafters. “Tonight” segued directly into “Woohoo,” minus Nikki Minaj on this night. But that didn’t stop Christina from upping the heat even more, breaking into a seriously sexy dance number that was made only more hot by the fact that her dancers were now wearing glowing red hearts on their crotches. Not to be outdone, Agulera ended things by standing tall at center stage, the camera zooming in on her midsection, which now bore a beating heart of its own. The celeb-packed audience roared their approval, and Aguilera bounded off the stage — presumably to go take a nice long, cold shower. Christina Aguilera’s Bionic Will Settle Gaga Debate, Songwriter Says

By Jocelyn Vena Christina Aguilera’s Bionic Photo: RCA Fans have already gotten a pretty good taste of what they can expect from Christina Aguilera ‘s upcoming album, Bionic, out June 8. In addition to the singles “Woohoo” and “Not Myself Tonight,” other tracks from the disc have leaked online. Despite rumors that worries about the album’s success are what prompted Aguilera to postpone her summer tour to 2011, songwriter Claude Kelly said it will be the album of the summer. “I’m excited about Christina,” Kelly told MTV News at the “Sex and the City 2” premiere, where he also dished about working with Leona Lewis and Jennifer Hudson on their track for the flick. Kelly said that he enjoyed hitting the studio with Aguilera to cook up some choice tunes for the release. “I did ‘Woohoo,’ which is the single out now,” he shared about the track that also features Nicki Minaj. “I did ‘Glam, which is kind of like futuristic, kind of an homage to ‘Vogue’ by Madonna. [I did] a song called ‘Vanity.’ [I did one called] ‘I Hate Boys.’ She has a fun record coming out.” Aguilera’s look during TV appearances and videos of late has led some Lady Gaga fans to accuse Christina of biting Gaga’s style . Kelly said the two pop queens couldn’t be more different. “I will say that there’s room for everybody,” he said. “I also know Gaga as well. She’s incredible. They really are honestly two different powerhouses. Once the album comes out and they hear what Christina’s doing, I don’t think the comparisons will last. Christina Aguilera Postponed Her 20-City US Tour

American pop singer and songwriter Christina Aguilera has postponed her forthcoming US tour for more preparations. According to Aguilera’s representative, the tour around the 20 cities across USA has been moved to 2011 for the reason that the artist is busy with her debut film, Burlesque, and her new album, Bionic. The time between the album release and tour dates Aguilera is very short and she wouldn’t have time to rehearse the show. A new tour will be announced later this year. That’s what Christina Aguilera told fans in an open letter she posted on her website on Tuesday, explaining her decision to pull the plug on her already-announced summer tour in support of her upcoming Bionic album. “I made the decision to move my summer tour and I am truly sorry to those of you who had purchased tickets and have been disappointed by the news,” Aguilera wrote. “Immediately after wrapping production on ‘Burlesque,’ I went directly back into the studio and then quickly started the promotional process for Bionic. With both the album press and film press, I am booked the entire summer and need time to focus on the work at hand. After reviewing the schedule with my team, I realized there was not enough time to put together and rehearse for a proper show, one that is at the caliber you expect from me or at the level I would present to my fans. In addition, my album has not even been released as yet, and I would like for you all to become familiar with the music before you hear it live on tour. Again, I am sorry to have to move the dates but I promise to come see you when the time is right!” The tour’s promoter said the dates will be rescheduled for 2011, but no specific timetable has been given for when fans will see Aguilera hit the road again.

Brown/ Getty Images You’re going to have to wait until next year to see Christina Aguilera live. The singer announced on Monday that she was calling off plans for an already announced summer tour to promote her upcoming Bionic album and pushing the dates back to an unspecified time in 2011. Citing a busy schedule that includes her involvement in the film “Burlesque” (in theaters this November) and promotional duties for the June 8 release of her new album, Bionic — which leaked onto the Internet on Monday — Aguilera’s camp issued a statement about the postponement. “The singer felt she needed more time to rehearse the show and with less than a month between the album release and tour dates this wasn’t possible,” it reads. New dates for the tour are expected later this year. A spokesperson for tour promoter Live Nation could not be reached for additional comment at press time. The tour was slated to kick off on July 15 at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, and wrap up on August 19 at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Irvine, California, and was to feature opening act Leona Lewis. The singer’s first new album since 2006’s Back to Basics has gotten off to a modest start, with first single “Not Myself Tonight” peaking at #23 on the Billboard Hot 100. The accompanying transgressive video has stirred up controversy due to claims by Lady Gaga supporters that it borrows some of the reigning pop diva’s signature moves. Your best chance to see Aguilera in the meantime is to tune in to Wednesday night’s “American Idol” finale and the June 6 MTV Movie Awards , where she is also scheduled to perform. No Girl-on Girl Action for Christina Aguilera

In a pair of recent statements, Christina Aguilera let down two different groups of people: Those that clamor for a Christina/Laday Gaga feud. Those that wish to see Christina have sex with a woman. First, Aguilera took to her official blog and, once and for all, shot down talk that she and Lady Gaga are remotely at odds. She wrote: I have absolutely nothing against Lady Gaga or any other female artist in this business. I think she is great, and I appreciate any woman fearless enough to go against the norm. She has earned her success with hard work and a clear focus and I have nothing but respect for that. There is room for all of us on everyone’s iPods. That’s reasonable, mature… and boring. From there, in a new feature in Out magazine (click on pics below), Christina was asked about hooking up with a female. She replied: “I don’t think I could ever really be with a woman because… there’s a lot of estrogen and I’m a lot to deal with when it’s that time of the month, so I can’t imagine it times two.” That’s also reasonable, mature… and boring. We thought Xtina was edgy! But now she’s refusing to go gay and coming to the aid of Haitian refugees . It’s just so sad.
