Christina Aguilera had to make an instant elimination on The Voice Monday, but not before performing her hit “Fighter” with her remaining team members. The 31-year-old, decked out in a revealing outfit, was joined by her singing proteges Chris Mann, Ashley De La Rosa, Jesse Campbell, and Lindsey Pavao. And that’s not all. Los Angeles’ famed Crenshaw High School choir also joined Christina and her team on stage for the performance. Take a look below! Christina Aguilera – Fighter (Live on The Voice) In a surprise move, Aguilera opted to let Jesse Campbell go last night, even after a stirring performance of Beyonce’s “Halo” that brought the house down earlier. Not only did many feel he should have survived last night, but Adam Levine even told him he was a “huge, huge favorite” to win the entire competition. Guess he didn’t impress the one person who mattered. Chris, Ashley and Lindsey learn their fate tonight as America’s votes decide who continues on.

‘Twilight’ heartthrob seduces three women in sneak peek of the June 8 film. By Fallon Prinzivalli Robert Pattinson in “Bel Ami” Photo: Magnolia Pictures Just when news on Robert Pattinson ‘s “Bel Ami” seemed few and far between, the American trailer for the film dropped Tuesday (April 3)! Set in the late 18th century, the period film follows George Duroy (Pattinson), a poor soldier who passionately seduces the wives of France’s elite in an attempt to better his circumstances. But like most manipulation, it only gets Duroy so far. Once the most influential men in Paris realize he’s betraying them, his attempts are foiled. Some lucky fans already saw the movie, as “Bel Ami” dropped last month in the U.K. While U.S. fans wait for the release of the film on June 8, take a look at the five must-see scenes from the trailer: In the Shadows Our introduction to Duroy happens at a party. The wealthiest families in France are feasting and dancing wearing the most lavish of outfits when we notice him staring in through the window. The look on his face is not one you’d expect from a character on the outside looking in — one that’s dejected and sad — but rather angry and jealous. An Opportune Dinner At a dinner with some of Paris’ most influential couples, the women of the story are introduced to Duroy — they include Kristen Scott Thomas, who plays Virginie Walters, Christina Ricci as Clotilde de Marelle and Uma Thurman, who gives life to Madeleine Forestier. At the dinner table, in reference to Duroy, Walters states, “A handsome, young soldier homesick and alone.” De Marelle follows up with the question, “But how could you be lonely?” The next shot shows Duroy with a sly smile on his face, sitting back in his chair as if he already knows the seduction these women will succumb to. The Seduction Begins Following the dinner scene, the trailer shows Duroy at another social event. A character voice-over with a line from the movie says, “The most important people in Paris are not the men, but their wives.” Duroy talks to de Marelle and asks her what she enjoys, to which she says, “Everything.” The next few seconds lead to a beautiful montage of the steamy romances the soldier has with Thomas’, Ricci’s and Thurman’s characters. Romance: Real or Fake? Duroy asks de Marelle, “Why do you come back to me?” Her reply (“I don’t know”) and his statement that follows (“I’ve been a fool”) allude to the thought that maybe he’s not faking the romances after all. While there’s no doubt that he’s manipulating these three women, it’s possible that the more time he spends around them, the more his fondness for them grows. Stepping Into the Light “There is no next life, and I am going to live,” Duroy says as the final shot of the trailer shows him stepping out of a dark building and into the light outside. Maybe there’s hope for the womanizer in the end. We’re fans of a happy ending, especially when the character we’re rooting for is played by one of our favorite “Twilight” actors. We hope this last shot is the director’s way of telling us Pattinson’s amoral character is redeemed. ‘Voice’ judge opens up about her follow-up to 2010’s Bionic. By Jocelyn Vena Christina Aguilera Photo: Frank Micelotta/ Getty Images Week after week, Christina Aguilera judges up-and-coming singers on “The Voice.” But when will fans get to hear her lay down her own voice on new music? In an interview with the show’s correspondent, Christina Milian, Xtina opened up about her long-delayed next project, the follow-up to 2010’s Bionic, which spawned the single “Not Myself Tonight.” “My album, what’s going on with that?” she said. “Well, I started [it] whenever I started this show, and then [the show] kind of took off into this big thing. So the show used to be a side project [and it] kind of turned into a bigger time-fulfilling, dedicated project for me.” While Aguilera hasn’t released new material of her own in almost two years, she did make chart waves appearing alongside fellow “Voice” judge Adam Levine on the hit Maroon 5 single “Moves Like Jagger.” While that track leaned toward ’70s-style rock and pop, fans will have to wait until later this year to find out what sounds Aguilera will be channeling on this next album. And considering her r
Teams Blake and Christina hit the stage as audience voting begins on ‘The Voice.’ By John Mitchell Jesse Campbell on “The Voice” Photo: NBC After weeks of blind auditions and battle rounds, “The Voice” finally went live Monday night (April 2), with Teams Blake and Christina taking the stage. America now gets to vote on the best of the best, and the top three from each team will move on to the next round. Twenty-four contestants survived the blind auditions and brutal battle rounds to make it to the live shows, and now their fate lies in the hands of viewers, who will take over for judges/mentors Adam Levine , Christina Aguilera , Blake Shelton and Cee Lo Green in deciding who continues on and who goes home. Entering the ring for Monday’s two-hour performance show (results will be broadcast live Tuesday night at 9 p.m. ET), the teams were as follows: Team Adam : Karla Davis, Katrina Parker, Kim Yarbrough, Mathai, Pip and Tony Luca Team Blake : Charlotte Sometimes, Erin Willett, Jermaine Paul, Jordis Unga, Naia Kete and RaeLynn Team Xtina : Ashley De La Rosa, Chris Mann, Jesse Campbell, Lindsey Pavao, Moses Stone and Sera Hill Team Cee Lo : Cheesa, Erin Martin, Jamar Rogers, James Massone, Juliet Simms and Tony Vincent Aguilera was looking great with a simpler style and a whole lot less hair, but the judge to watch on the fashion front was Cee Lo, who rocked a strange disco clown-meets-Elvis costume and shaggy ’70s wig. “There’s something a little different about you tonight,” Adam joked to the “Forget You” singer. Referring to the dashing Levine’s newly shaved head, Cee Lo said, “Adam cut his off, so I decided to grown mine out.” Now, on to the actual competition. First up was Team Blake’s Jermaine Paul. Paul made a big impression, entering from the back of the theater amid blinding lights before making his way to the stage, but Aguilera commented that the song Shelton gave him, Bon Jovi’s “Living on a Prayer,” was an unconventional choice for the former Alicia Keys backup singer. “I didn’t see the connection with the song choice,” Aguilera said. “[But] you brought soul to it.” Shelton disagreed. “I think girls tend to like you singing that song a lot,” he said, to much screaming and applause. Team Christina’s Chris Mann was much more subdued when he hit the stage to sing “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” and his classically trained voice had all the judges swooning over his pitch-perfect delivery. “You really owned it,” Xtina said. “You made it your own.” Shelton gave his next contestant, 17-year-old Texan RaeLynn, a tall order: to turn “Wake Up Call” by “Voice” coach Levine’s own band Maroon 5 into a country/rock song. “It is a risk taking a famous pop song and turning it country, but I think America’s going to like that,” RaeLynn said before stomping around the stage confidently in her cowboy boots and frilly dress. “You’re a sassy little thing,” Aguilera commented. “Are you allowed to grind your hips at your age like that?” Christina then called out what we already know: that there is a romance going on between Levine and Shelton . “You and the Maroon 5,” Aguilera joked about Shelton’s choice of Levine’s song. (We know, Christina! We know!) Moses Stone of Team Xtina was up next with a medley of Kanye West’s “Stronger”/”Power.” Backed by a fleet of dancers, the lone “Voice” rapper showed off his ability to move and stir up the audience. “I think you’re a natural onstage,” Cee Lo said. Adam agreed, saying, “There’s no doubt [that] you know how to entertain.” The performance was one of many that was pretty much professional level, including everything from backup dancers and flashy costumes to abundant lighting and a massive backing band/orchestra. Blake even (we assume inadvertently) complimented Aguilera when he said, “She’s already working for you,” while praising Stone’s singing voice. “You do it all,” Aguilera cheered, talking up Stone’s ability to sing, rap and perform choreography. In one of the rare occasions where a “Voice” coach recommended that one of his singers stay true to the way a song is performed on an album, Blake pushed street performer Naya Kete to stick to the original arrangement of “Turning Tables” as it was recorded by Adele. Aguilera unsurprisingly disagreed, and she and Shelton clashed. He thought Naya brought a lot of personality and tenderness to the song, while the “Beautiful” songbird wished Kete would have included more of her own jazz style to the performance. In the night’s strangest performance (fully dressed division), Aguilera paired raspy-voiced Lindsey Pavao with Gotye’s “Somebody I Used to Know,” and she brought, um, creepy burlesque dancers and clowns in masquerade masks onstage for her performance. Even with the strange distractions, the judges were listening closely, and Adam thought she was missing the power Gotye brought to the chorus. Her coach Christina was pleased, though, saying that every time she hears Paveo sing she thinks “Where is her record? I could listen to this girl all day.” Team Blake’s rocker Jordin Unga was strong and hit all the right notes in a memorable take on Heart’s difficult “Alone,” inspiring her coach to say, “I’m just so glad America has the chance to find out who you are.” That’s the thing about “The Voice” judges: They always know the perfect thing to say. (It must be the influence of smooth, newly single lady’s man Levine being on the panel.) For the night’s oddest performance (shirtless edition), enter Team Christina’s Sera Hill, who not only made Drake’s “Find Your Love” all her own (and practically unrecognizable) as a Mary J. Blige-like R&B slow jam, but also turned the stage into a Chippendale’s review (green lasers and all). “I know this was your idea,” Shelton told Aguilera of Hill’s studly backup dancers. (We know it too; she’s “Dirrty” and we like that about her.) “I was waiting for Christina to start stuffing some 1’s in those guys’ pants,” Blake continued. He didn’t have much to say about Hill’s actual performance, because “it’s hard to get past the male strippers onstage. … There were male strippers on the stage on ‘The Voice.’ ” For Team Blake’s Erin Willett performance, the stage was transformed into a Prohibition-era speakeasy. Willett started into her Stevie Wonder cover at the piano before joining the swinging dancers for a Broadway-like performance. Shelton called Willett’s performance the “best vocal performance of the night,” and even Aguilera had to begrudgingly agree. The next two performers took alternate routes to putting the best spin on their talents now that America is voting. Rocker Ashley De La Rosa chose to play it safe, sticking to her rocker-girl wheelhouse with “Right Through You” by Alanis Morrisette. And it worked for her: Levine called her “the most improved by far.” When Aguilera agreed, he joked, “We just got along,” stoking those rumors that Aguilera can be a little diva on set. Unlike De La Rosa, Charlotte Sometimes changed things up so the live audiences would get a chance to hear a different side of her unique voice than they had at this point in the competition. She chose to rearrange Paramore’s “Misery” to create a softer showcase to show that she can be a delicate singer as well as a fiery one. The night’s final performance was a fine (if very safe) one: jazzy crooner Jesse Campbell singing “What a Wonderful World” by Louis Armstrong. “If someone from my team doesn’t win, I’m looking for you to win this,” Cee Lo told Campbell. Adam agreed that Campbell was “the one to beat.” But Aguilera must have been worried her “Moves Like Jagger” duet partner was going to turn negative, because the two ended the show in a (non) lovers spat, bickering back and forth as the credits rolled. I was kind of hoping now that Dakota Fanning is over eighteen she might, you know, slut things up a little bit in some sexy and provocative outfits….. I was wrong. Here she is looking like she’s on her way to a baptism in the 1950′s. Not what I had in mind. #antiboner
I don’t really have a whole lot to say about this post, it’s more of a public service announcement because I know my readers what to stay current with all of Hollywood’s hot young talent. With her eighteenth birthday just last week, here’s a newly legal Dakota Fanning making an appearance in some nice leather pants. Not the hottest pictures you’ll ever see, but she’s new to this and it’s nice to have some fresh meat to discuss with you perverts. Enjoy.
TheWrap reports that Xtina is onboard for season three, which could debut in the fall opposite ‘X Factor.’ By Kara Warner Christina Aguilera on “The Voice” Photo: NBC We are only two episodes into the second season of “The Voice,” and already there is some news about the hit NBC show’s third season. According to TheWrap , Christina Aguilera has signed a contract to continue her stint on the judging panel for a third season of the singing competition. Aguilera is the first of the four judges to ink her deal, a payday for which is supposedly in the $10 million realm. TheWrap also reports that the third season could premiere in the fall rather than waiting until 2013; this would potentially put “The Voice” in direct competition with Fox’s “X Factor.” When MTV News reached out for comment from NBC, a show insider said no decision has been made about season three. It is expected that Aguilera’s fellow judges Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton will all renew their contracts in the coming weeks and that the third season will tape from September through December of this year. “The Voice” has proven to be a major hit for NBC. The season-two premiere following the Super Bowl on Sunday earned NBC’s best ratings for an entertainment show in six years. Monday’s episode earned the network’s best numbers for that particular timeslot in nearly eight years, save for broadcasts of the Olympics. When MTV News caught up with the show’s new social media correspondent Christina Milian recently, the singer/actress gushed about the lovefest on set. “It’s been fabulous. I’ve had fun working with the cast already,” she said. “Christina Aguilera, Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, Cee Lo, Carson Daly — it’s an awesome super team they have, and from day one, they treated me like family. “This show is about music, it’s about talent, and it’s about this passion and this dream of becoming a star,” Milian added. “Still to this day, every day that I wake up, I have that same dream, so to be involved with the show, [it’s amazing] to watch what they incorporate and how the coaches act as advisers and mentors to the artists and really truthfully help them and push them and want them to be the best so they can win.” Are you hoping all four “Voice” judges are back for season three? Christina Aguilera And Adam Levine Spar As First Round Of “The Voice” Blind Auditions Gets Underway By John Mitchell Christina Aguilera on “The Voice” Photo: NBC “The Voice” returned to NBC for its second season immediately following Super Bowl XLVI and got right to business, kicking off the first round of blind auditions with coaches Adam Levine , Cee Lo Green and Blake Shelton each picking up one team member and Christina Aguilera scoring two. Seven hopefuls stepped in front of the judges’ revolving chairs, each hoping at least one would turn and ask them be on their team. Two contestants got all four judges’ approval, but one, 24-year old Daniel Rosa from Riverside California, didn’t get a single judge to turn their chair and offer a spot and was sent home packing. The Players: Rae Lynn A teenager raised on a Texas farm, Rae Lynn entered the competition with one thing in mind: to win over judge Blake Shelton, who is married to country singer Miranda Lambert, a big hero of Rae Lynn’s. She decided to sing Lamberts “Hell on Heels” despite being warned that last season Shelton didn’t respond well when a contestant auditioned with one of his wife’s songs. But confident in her choice, she did it anyway and wowed Shelton and Levigne. Ultimately, she chose to stick with her roots and keep things country. Team Blake Jesse Campbell One of many inspiring stories told during the show, we were introduced to 42-year-old homeless father Jesse Campbell and his family. He’d barely uttered a few notes before Aguilera, Green and Levigne swiveled around (Shelton followed soon after). “You followed through above and beyond my expectations,” she told Campbell, promising to fight for him along the hard road to the “Voice” finals. Trusting that Aguilera knows a thing or two about how to get the most out of strong vocalists, Jesse picked the “Not Myself Tonight” singer. Team Xtina Juliet Simms Simms has been living the rock-and-roll life since she was a teen and is now, at 25, looking to take that next step. Simms tackled a big song too — “Oh! Darling” by the Beatles — but brought a rough, throaty edge and rocker swagger to the track that immediately attracted Levigne and Cee-Lo and, eventually, Aguilera. “You brought the house down,” Christina said to Simms. Competing over the singer’s affections even devolved into a bit of mudslinging between Aguilera and Levigne, who bickered back and forth over who could better serve Simms in the contest. She decided to go with neither and picked the most eclectic guy on the panel. Team Cee Lo Chris Mann Another of the night’s tear-jerker back stories came from Mann, a talented classical musician working in Nashville, TN, whose mother is fighting pancreatic cancer. The 29-year-old Wichita, Kansas, native was the second contestant of the competition to bowl over the judges with a big, classic voice. “Now that’s a voice,” Xtina proclaimed, “I love it!” Her enthusiasm led him to pick the “Beautiful” Grammy winner, and in the first night of competition she nailed down the two best voices in the game so far. Team Xtina Tony Lucca Hey, that guy looks familiar! Lucca was at one time a Mousketeer alongside Christina, Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears on “The Mickey Mouse Club.” But it was more important here that he tore the roof off the joint with a rocking rendition of “Trouble” that earned a swivel of approval from every judge on the panel. All pleaded with him to join their team, but Aguilera seemed oblivious to the fact that she knew him as a child (a lot has happened since then, we’ll give her that). He went with Shelton, probably hoping a little of the country-rock cool that’s kept him at the top of the charts for the last few years rubs off. Team Adam After he left the stage, Aguilera realized who Lucca was and ran backstage to greet him, his wife and young daughter. She also revealed, “Britney had the biggest crush on you!” Oh, what could have been.. Did you catch “The Voice” tonight? Which contestant was your favorite?
