Upon researching this story, we had the following questions: Michael Lohan actually has a Twitter account? Someone would follow Michael Lohan on Twitter? Someone would go to the trouble of hacking it? That someone said Lindsay Lohan is HIV positive? M-Lo really used Twitter to go off on Perez Hilton? Apparently, yes to all … or at least #1 and #5. Mike says someone hacked into his Twitter account this morning and posted that Lindsay is “HIV positive.” That Tweet is now off. “Somebody was impersonating me,” he later said. “I’m disgusted. I would never ever say something like that about my daughter.” The feud between Michael and Lindsay heated up last week when he staged an intervention , barging into her home with the L.A. County Sheriff’s Dept. He claims LiLo is abusing drugs again (she denies this) and is a bad influence on 16-year-old sister Ali Lohan. Michael was widely criticized for the move. As for today’s Tweets, the impostor also accused Linds of sleeping with Tommy Mattola at age 17. Mike says he’s seeking legal action against the hacker. But not before he tears into Perez Hilton for reasons unknown. A couple of hours ago, in response to Lord only knows what, Michael Lohan wrote: Stop stirring up trouble Perez, you’re disgusting. Hell awaits you. You are only getting a taste now. U R the one who is likely to get AIDS! @perezhilton and you are also the one who wishes you slept with Moguls! leave us alone. Or are you that obsessed?! @perezhilton… for all I (we) know, you hack accounts and make most of this stuff up yourself, you sausage jockey Uhhh, okay Mike. Using gay slurs and suggesting Perez get AIDS? Really classy, not to mention an extremely effective way of helping Lindsay. Not to mention, how can you expect us to believe your account was hacked when you make another AIDS-related crack hours later? Ass clown. We always thought you were a piece of work … but it looks like that was far too kind. You’re a complete waste of oxygen. Please, please go away.

By Eric Ditzian Annie Lennox (file) Photo: Samir Hussein/ Getty Images Wednesday night’s charity-focused “Idol Gives Back” episode featured the likes of Victoria Beckham, Jennifer Garner and Morgan Freeman traveling across the world to raise awareness about issues of poverty, illness and the need for the more fortunate to help those in need. In the midst of the two-hour philanthropic effort, former Eurythmics singer Annie Lennox appeared via satellite wearing a T-shirt that read “HIV Positive.” To some, no doubt, it seemed like a provocative statement to make on a reality show, but Lennox has been wearing the shirt for years. The message is intended as a statement of solidarity with HIV- and AIDS-afflicted people in sub-Saharan Africa. Entertainment Weekly dug up a 2009 YouTube video in which Lennox explains the origins and intentions of the shirt. “In a country like South Africa, where HIV is so prevalent, and yet you have stigma where people are afraid to openly come out and say that they’re HIV positive,” Lennox said, “this T-shirt, whoever wears it, is making a statement of solidarity, and they’re saying, ‘We’re coming out from behind the shadows. We’re trying to normalize what is a preventable thing. It doesn’t need to have the stigma.’ ” While she is helping to lift the shame associated with HIV and AIDS, Lennox herself says she is not HIV-positive. “It will raise questions, I know, as to whether I am HIV-positive,” she said of the shirt. “And I can tell you, actually, the good news is I am not. However, many people are.” Lennox was scheduled to perform on Wednesday’s “Idol Gives Back” — profits from which go to charities like Children’s Health Fund, Feeding America and Malaria No More — but she was unable to travel because of ash from the Icelandic volcano. Still, she appeared in a video segment about medical innovations that saved the life of a 7-year-old girl with pneumonia and AIDS. Lennox reappeared later in the show, wearing the HIV T-shirt, to sing “Universal Child,” a new song currently available for download on iTunes. Old rumors are sure hard to dispel. This is what Annie Lennox learned as she appeared on the annual Idol Gives Back show wearing a peculiar “HIV Positive” black shirt. Lennox has been under the radar for HIV positive before because of her strong activism for AIDS awareness. The question has popped up once again as she surprised the world with her “HIV Positive” statement shirt while performing with Arethra Franklin via satellite last Wednesday night. So is she really positive or was everything a ploy to raise more awareness on HIV and AIDS. The answer seemed to be a striking no. While Annie Lennox was unavailable for an interview – she was unable to travel due to the volcanic ash and had to perform via satellite— entertainment insider seemed to believe it as a strategy. She wears the shit because she wanted to help raise awareness and get more attention on the AIDS epidemic. She has done this kind of stunt before and it worked each time. Her trick was timely and apropos as the annual Idol Gives Back show aims to raise money for the African Children born into poverty and HIV/AIDS. Lennox, first gaining international prominence with her band Eurythmics, has produced numerous chart topper singles such as “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This) and “Into the West”, written for the original soundtrack to the feature film “The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King”. Aside from her music career, Lennox is also a staunch advocate and supporter of HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment. In 2007, Lennox founded the SING campaign.
