The 55-year-old rapper and reality TV star acknowledged Monday in Clark County District Court that he wielded a kitchen knife during an October 2012 argument at home with his longtime girlfriend’s 17-year-old son. A judge sentenced him to probation and four more months of domestic violence counseling. The clock-wearing entertainer’s legal name is William Jonathan Drayton Jr. He pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges of attempted battery that could have caused substantial injury and battery constituting domestic violence. Drayton had been facing felony assault and child endangerment with a weapon charges that could have gotten him up to 12 years in prison. His next court date is Aug. 18. So far, the Reddit investigation is going only slightly better than the time Reddit solved the Boston Marathon bombing. “After watching this I immediately downloaded the video, took screenshots and reported it to CPS in California as it is where the user is from,” wrote redditor skidoorider21. “This is no environment for a child to be in. He needs a good parent not someone to hurt him or bring him down.” Skidoorider21 apparently didn’t read the caption on the Vine, which explained that the uploader had only reposted it—he wasn’t the one who let the baby smoke or filmed the incident. Other redditors figured this out and called off the witch hunt. According to Huffington Post: A judge approved a substantial cut in the amount of child support that Beyonce Knowles’ father must pay because his income dropped after his superstar daughter fired him as her manager. A ruling obtained by The Associated Press shows that a Los Angeles Superior Court judge cut the amount Mathew Knowles must pay to actress Alexsandra Wright from $12,000 a month to roughly $2,500 a month. The payments are for a son Knowles fathered with Wright while he was still married to Beyonce’s mother. Although the singer’s name is not mentioned in Monday’s ruling, it notes that her father’s income has substantially fallen since she fired him in 2011. Mathew Knowles sought a reduction in his child support payments, and a hearing was held earlier this year. Superior Court Judge Scott Gordon agreed with Knowles’ attorneys that his income had changed, but ordered him to pay $15,000 for Wright’s legal fees. Beyonce’s mother filed for divorce in December 2009, about a month after Mathew Knowles was mentioned in Wright’s paternity case. At the time, the pair had been married for nearly 30 years. Wright appeared in the 2001 film “Baby Boy” and has had a few bit television parts. No more excuses now. Hopefully, Mathew will take care of his baby.

In mitigation, Anthony Wilson said Hull had ‘a number of medicinal conditions’ including breathing problems, back pains and frequent chest infections which would make any time in prison difficult. He suggested that a suspended sentence could be imposed so that Hull could stay at home and look after the baby while his partner went back to work. Judge Batty imposed an 18-month sentence, suspended for two years. He also put Hull under a night-time curfew for the next six months and ordered him pay £200 which will be taken out of his benefits. A Chinese man is facing years imprisonment after beating his 10-year-old stepson and then severing his hand, all because his mom wasn’t able to afford an apartment they were trying to buy. According to NY Daily News reports : A Chinese man hacked off his stepson’s hand with a meat cleaver Tuesday before spitefully throwing it in boiling water so that it could never be reattached, police said. Cheng Sun, 43, allegedly beat 10-year-old Xiao Jun with a stick after a row about money before grabbing the hatchet and smashing it down on his limb. He then lobbed the bloody lump of flesh into a pot of water that had been left on the stove refor their evening meal. The Daily Mirror reports that Cheng had met Xiao’s mom, Xiao Shen, a year ago. The couple, who lived in a rented apartment in Shenyang with the boy, were looking to buy a flat together. The mother went to visit relatives to try borrowing some cash when she called Cheng to say there would be a delay with the money coming through. The crane driver allegedly launched into a furious rage and attacked the boy. Afterward, he reportedly called cops to confess the crime. He then took Xiao to the hospital, but doctors said it was too swelled-up to be of use and that the boy required an artificial arm. Cheng was arrested and now faces a lengthy prison term.
