The young singer took to the stage at We Day California yesterday and addressed a group of fans, opening up for the first time about her recent stint in rehab. “I lost sight of who I was,” Gomez said of her multi-week stay in January. “I listened to opinions of people, and I tried to change who I am because I thought the others would accept me for it. And I realized I don’t know how to be anything but myself.” The exact reasons behind Selena’s rehab visit have never been made public, though many believe she was an emotional wreck following her relationship with Justin Bieber . Selena Gomez WE DAY Speech Gomez advised everyone to “stay true to yourself” and added: “I’ve learned from my actions, and for all the things I’ve done, I’m proudest of that. Look ma, no helmets! Daft Punk picked up their bags at the airport and alas, they were snapped without their signature headgear. The musical duo, Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, usually wear bulky space-age helmets while in public, but the new photos reveal they are, in fact, not robots after all … Daft Punk Without Helmets The French electronic music group has been churning out music since the early ’90s and have covered their faces since early performances. Homem-Cristo told Rolling Stone of the costume choice, “We’re not performers, we’re not models. It would not be enjoyable for humanity to see our features, but the robots are exciting to people.” Daft Punk rocked the Grammys , where they performed live and picked up the coveted award of Album of the Year for Random Access Memories. This is so brutal. Boyfriend Bludgeons Girlfriend And Her Daughter To Death There is a special place in hell for people who commit such hateful crimes. According to The NY Post: A hammer-wielding madman allegedly bludgeoned his girlfriend and her daughter to death in their Queens home because he believed they were “witches” who were casting spells on him, authorities said on Wednesday. Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said the suspect, Carlos Alberto Amarillo, 44, called 911 at about 12:10 a.m. to report the alleged murders and in Spanish said, “They were assassinated, hurry they are dead.” During the chilling call, Amarillo said he wanted police to kill him. “I killed them because they are witches,” he said. “I killed them with a hammer.” Police found him at their home at 24-10 87th St. near LaGuardia Airport, wandering around with a Bible saying, “I killed them, I killed them.” Cops then found the brutally beaten body of Estrella Castaneda, 56, in a second-floor bedroom face up on the bed with a pillow over her face, according to the charges. The rubber grip of a hammer was next to the body. Her daughter Lina Castaneda, 25, herself the mother of a 7 year-old girl was then found in the rear bedroom face down on the floor with head injuries, with a hammer next to her. Amarillo was taken into custody and charged with two counts of first and second degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon. Clearly, he has mental health issues. Man, it’s not just reality TV stars and guys’ magazines, even lame awards shows are hotter in England! Clearly I need to pack up and move there ASAP. Anyway, I think Jennifer is semi-famous for starring on some British soap opera called Hollyoaks or something. Which means she probably shouldn’t be too busy to pick me up from the airport when I land in about 6-7 hours.
