Chris Brown: Arrested For Rape In Paris

Another disturbing chapter in the saga of pop star Chris Brown is unfolding in Paris today. According to Huffington Post, Brown is currently in custody after being detained by French authorities on rape charges. Two unidentified individuals were detained along with Brown. They are believed to be members of his entourage. Brown’s label, Sony Music, has declined a request for comment and has not yet revealed why Brown traveled to Paris in the first place. The woman who filed the complaint says that she met Brown and his entourage on the night of January 15 at the club Le Crystal in the 8th arrondissement near the Champs-Elysees. Early on the morning of January 16, the group proceeded to Mandarin Oriental Hotel near the Concorde Plaza in central Paris, which is presumably where the alleged assault occurred. Brown, of course, is no stranger to scandals and legal entanglements. After a promising start in the music industry that began with his first single going platinum in 2004, Brown’s success as a musician became overshadowed by his increasingly tumultuous personal life. In 2009 Brown assaulted then-girlfriend Rihanna just prior to that year’s Grammy Awards ceremony. Though he avoided jail time in connection with that incident, the singer’s troubles with the law were only beginning. In 2014, Brown was imprisoned after being arrested and for assault and getting kicked out of court-ordered rehab. Though sentenced to 131 days, Brown wound up spending less than a month behind bars. Brown’s legal troubles have continued in the years since. Most recently, he was arrested after a concert in July on a felony battery charge stemming from an April 2017 incident in which he was accused of punching a man who photographed him without permission. Moments ago, CNN reported that in addition to the rape complaint, Brown is currently being held on undisclosed drug charges. The outlet reached out to Brown’s attorney, who declined to comment. We’ll have further updates on this developing story as more information becomes available. View Slideshow: 29 Pics of Chris Brown Thuggin’ It So Hard: What a Goon!

The Bachelor Recap: Hannah B. Claims Caelynn is a Lying Snake

If you’ve been keeping up with The Bachelor Spoilers , you know Colton’s final choice. But he made a lot of decisions before the finale. On this week’s episode of The Bachelor , some drama between two of Colton’s contestants left the leading man unsure of whom to believe. And that only how the episode began … and ended. For the week’s first group date, the women are costumed as swashbuckling pirates. Katie, Heather, Hannah B., Courtney, Kirpa, Tracy, Demi, and Caelynn all got into costume. Viewers did get a kick out of hearing them all refer to Colton as “captain” for the evening. While the purpose is not explained, maybe it gave Caelynn — Miss North Carolina 2018 — a home field advantage. NC’s coast was Blackbeard’s favorite haunt, and Caelynn certainly caught Colton’s eye. Hannah Brown, on the other hand, did not love seeing him give her rival all of that attention. Demi Burnett was living her best life as a pirate and really got into the role. “The job of a pirate is to steal and I’m here to steal Colton’s heart,” Demi announced. She joked: “I don’t want to be another one of those yo-ho-hos.” Hannah B, on the other hand, felt her insecurities come out. “It’s a little frustrating to watch Caelynn engage with Colton right in front of me,” Hannah admitted. Hannah Brown is Miss Alabama, and watching Miss North Carolina excel did not sit well with her. “I’m trying my hardest to not get upset but then Caelynn is just everywhere,” Hannah lamented. “I didn’t come here to compete in another pageant,” she said. “Honestly, this sucks.” Whatever that pirate contest was, Caelynn won it, and Colton gave her a congratulatory kiss. “You’ve got to be kidding me,” Hannah bemoaned. “It’s not easy to see Caelynn moving forward with Colton.” “It brings out all of my insecurities and I start to spiral,” she admitted. “If Colton knew the truth about Caelynn,” Hannah B guessed. “I think he would feel differently about her.” Hannah B decided to confront Colton about Caelynn during the cocktail portion of their date. Note to all The Bachelor hopefuls: trying to undercut your competition always, always makes you look like the bad guy. “I was just in a high-stress situation with her and it was like the most hostile environment I’ve ever been in,” she told Colton. She continued: “It’s hard because it’s like, if that’s what you want, you don’t want me.” Perhaps due to how flustered and insecure she felt, Hannah B didn’t really communicate very well with Colton. This left him feeling frustrated and perhaps a little annoyed — she actually had to ask him for a kiss at the end of their chat. Yikes. To make matters worse for Hannah B, Colton then made a beeline for Caelynn to hear her side of the story. Caelynn was blindsided and cried. She confessed to Colton that she hadn’t planned on addressing her past at that time. So Colton presented her with the Group Date Rose. “I want you to know that I like you a lot,” Colton assured Caelynn. “And it’s about our time together and our connection.” Then there was Colton’s one-on-one date with Elyse. Their date isn’t exactly romantic — a lot of viewers were reminded of babysitting, even if it’s for a great cause. Colton does charity work with kids who are hospitalized, and he and Elyse go on some fair rides with ten children. Elyse does praise that seeing Colton be so good with kids is “the sexiest thing ever.” She also opens up about her life, and the two of them get to bond despite their (gasp) 5-year age gap. Elyse gets the rose. For the second group date, Colton once again has his heaving man-bosom on display. Tayshia, Nina, Catherine, Sydney, Onyeka, Cassie, Nicole, and Caitlin join him for a workout class. On the one hand, most people would rather be pirates than sweat in front of the guy they’re dating and the viewers at home. On the other hand, Colton’s tatas are out as a feast for their eyes. That’s fair. “We pull up and Colton is waiting for us topless,” Caitlin said. “Which is a really nice sight.” Terry Crews, who is always a delight, and his wife Rebecca were there to help Colton in his quest to identify his “strong woman.” We joked about Caelynn having an advantage, but with this group date, some women quickly stood out from the rest. Sydney is a dancer, Onyeka is a track star, and Catherine knows karate. Onyeka gets the “strongest woman” trophy. Then it’s time for the cocktail portion and to lounge by the pool. “I feel like I’ve kind of been slipping behind a little bit,” Caitlin admitted. “Because we got sent home on the last group date.” But when she actually gets some one-on-one time with Colton, she falters. He asks her what she’s looking for in a man, and she says someone who’s happy to have a silly evening with her and her friends. Colton just about has an out-of-body experience out of sheer boredom with her answer. Then, Caitlin confesses that her life has been pretty chill so far, so she doesn’t have anything major to spill to him. Colton goes ahead and sends her home because he doesn’t feel much of a spark. The Caelynn drama with Hannah Brown isn’t over, though. Colton speaks to both women, who both paint unflattering (but vague) portraits of their former frenemies. “I feel like I’m going around and round in circles,” Colton said. “I don’t know what to believe.” “I’m frustrated because I still don’t understand this,” he confesses to an unseen producer. “The last thing I wanted to do today was spend all day at the pool party talking about this,” he said. “I’m not getting clarity at all.” Since Caelynn had received the group date rose, Hannah B gets a rose. Bri, Catherine, and Nina get sent home. View Slideshow: The Bachelor Spoilers: Colton’s Choice, Stunning Final Rose Aftermath REVEALED! [Updated]

Drake Curse? Drake Trolled By Clemson After Picking Alabama To Win National Championship Game

Here is the original post:

Source: Kevin C. Cox / Getty Don’t ask  Drake to root for your team. Even though he picked Alabama over Clemson to win the national championship game tonight, Drake rooting for your team seems to be a kiss of death. Clemson not only beat Alabama to win their second national title in three years, they dominated them, destroyed them. Handed  Nick Saban  his worst loss as Alabama head coach. They even did a Suge Knight / Death Row reference to drive the point home! Dawg this is the best recruiting pitch ever ! pic.twitter.com/mJKngmi0l0 — The Mad King (@Kingkeraun) January 8, 2019 And naturally, Clemson had to clown Drake over his pick. Our followers have unanimously voted against this, apologies Drake https://t.co/6ql44eBZeB — Clemson Football (@ClemsonFB) January 8, 2019 But is there a Drake curse? Does having the blessing of the 6 God equate to an immediate loss for your favorite squad? I mean, outside of that time he showed up outside the Heat locker room when they won the NBA title in 2013. Let’s examine!

But Ayler is best known as Carrie Hanks, the mother of  Phylicia Rashad’s Claire Huxtable, appearing in six episodes over the course of the show’s run from 1984-92. This Is Why Trump Comes Up When You Google “Idiot” & These Other Choice Words

Source: Taylor Hill / Getty On Tuesday, the CEO for Google, Sundar Pichai, found himself in an awkward situation when he had to explain Trump’s association with one particular word. According to The Verge , Pichai was being questioned at a House Judiciary Committee hearing where Congress people were trying to decide if Google manipulated search results based on political bias. When Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-CA) stepped up to question Pichai, she wondered why pictures of Donald Trump were the first to show up when the word “idiot” was typed in Google image. “Right now, if you google the word ‘idiot’ under images, a picture of Donald Trump comes up. I just did that,” she said. “How would that happen?” Uuuum… Pichai was ready for Rep. Lofgren. He put forth a general explanation of how Google search engines work: “Any time you type in a keyword, as Google we have gone out and crawled and stored copies of billions of [websites’] pages in our index. And we take the keyword and match it against their pages and rank them based on over 200 signals — things like relevance, freshness, popularity, how other people are using it. And based on that, at any given time, we try to rank and find the best search results for that query. And then we evaluate them with external raters, and they evaluate it to objective guidelines. And that’s how we make sure the process is working” Any further questions Lofgren??? Luckily, Lofgren was on Pichai’s side and was trying to refute the idea that Google’s search engine was politically motivated. She followed up with another question… “So it’s not some little man sitting behind the curtain figuring out what we’re going to show the user?” Lofgren asked sarcastically. Pichai replied, “This is working at scale, and we don’t manually intervene on any particular search result.” News outlets peeped the “idiot” Trump results earlier this year.  They revealed that certain outside parties have something to do with Google’s search results. According to The Guardian , one reason Trump’s face is associated with the word “idiot” is because protesters used Green Day ‘s “American Idiot” song to soundtrack Trump’s trip to London. There’s also been an intentional campaign to associate Trump’s picture with the word by manipulating Google’s algorithms. A lot of this involved people up-voting a Reddit post containing a photo of him and the word “idiot.” Such tactics are known as “Google bombing.” Trump isn’t the first to get Google-bombed either. According The Verge , in the mid-2000s, searches for “miserable failure” notoriously returned results about President George W. Bush. So whether it’s Google bombers or natural Google algorithms, the word “idiot” and Trump can’t help but be linked together. What are ya gonna do.   With that being said, we thought we’d share some other words that seem to result in Trump’s face if you Google them. Hit the next pages to find out what they are. Remember… Google did it, not us.

So Sad: 9 Year-Old Alabama Girl Commits Suicide After Racist Bullying

Source: Terry Vine/Getty Images / Getty Alabama Girl Commits Suicide After Being Bullied The family of a fourth-grade student who committed suicide is reeling. CBS 42 reports that the mother of 9-year-old McKenzie Adams says bullying led her daughter to kill herself. McKenzie’s mom says her daughter complained to school officials numerous times about being bullied but little was done to stop it. On December 3, McKenzie’s grandma found her hanging in her home. “She told me that this one particular child was writing her nasty notes in class. It was just things you wouldn’t think a 9-year-old should know. And my baby to tell me some of the things they had said to her. I was like where are they learning this from” Adams said. “I just felt that our trust was in them that they would do the right thing. And it feels like to me it wasn’t it wasn’t done”. She also believes that race might have played a factor in her late daughter’s death. A white family friend drove McKenzie to school and she used to get picked on about it. “She was being bullied the entire school year, with words such as ‘kill yourself,’ ‘you think you’re white because you ride with that white boy,’ ‘you ugly,’ ‘black b***,’ ‘just die,’” McKenzie’s mom told The Tuscaloosa News. Funeral services for McKenzie Adams will be held next Saturday at Alabama’s U.S. Jones elementary school. Kim Kardashian and Alice Marie Johnson: See Them Meet!

Kim Kardashian has done a few things right in her life. Three of them have first names of North, Saint and Chicago. Those kids are adorable and clearly well cared for. The fourth also has a name: Alice Marie Johnson. As you likely know by now, Kim learned about Johnson several months ago and how she was imprisoned for life in Alabama for a first-time drug offense. From there, Kim made it her mission to free Johnson; to earn her clemency from President Donald Trump. The former sex tape star actually met with the Commander–in-Chief in the Oval Office and actually achieved this goal in June. Say whatever you want about Kim – she has earned the wrath of critics for many reasons – but this was something very, very awesome that she managed to do. It's as simple as that. “I feel like my life is starting over again,” Johnson said upon her release, referring to Kim as an “angel” and adding: “She has truly been relentless in her fight for me… this is not a publicity thing for her. She has never stopped fighting for me. She's an incredible woman, an amazing woman.” On this Sunday's Season 5 finale of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, viewers will get to watch Kardashian and Johnson actually meet for the first time. It's a legitimately emotional moment. In the clip featured here, Johnson refers to the reaction she's received as a “lovefest,” while Kim says she has learned “so much about criminal justice.” She thinks the system is messed up. What will she do going forward to help fix it? We don't know. But check out the footage here to see what she has done so far.

In White Folks News: Disney Screenwriter Criticized For Comparing Being Anti-Vaccination To Calling Someone The N-Word

Source: Barry King / Getty Screenwriter Uses The N-Word In Tweet About Being Anti-Vaccination Oscar-nominated screenwriter Terry Rossio, who worked on films including  Shrek ,  Aladdin , and the  Pirates of the Caribbean  franchise, is getting a lot of heat on Twitter for using the n-word in a tweet about vaccines. Earlier this week,  The 100  writer Julie Benson posted information via Twitter on how people could donate vaccinations to others through UNICEF. In the post, screenshot by Julie, it was suggested as a way to donate vaccines in the name of a relative who is anti-vaccination. Brilliant! pic.twitter.com/O08JZWu5is — Julie Benson (@TheJulieBenson) November 23, 2018 Rossio responded to her tweet the next morning, writing, “My heart goes out to all the parents of vaccine damaged children, who have to not only endure the sadness of their loss, but also the vitriol of ill-informed and insensitive people (such as those here). Anti-Vax is equivalent to calling someone a n***er and makes as little sense.” My heart goes out to all the parents of vaccine damaged children, who have to not only endure the sadness of their loss, but also the vitriol of ill-informed and insensitive people (such as those here). Anti-Vax is equivalent to calling someone a nigger and makes as little sense. — Terry Rossio (@TerryRossio) November 23, 2018 Of course, Terry is being roasted by critics, noting that calling someone anti-vaccination is literally not at all the same as calling them the n-word. He even doubled down on his point in a later reply. Do you realize that you are using the equivalent of the 'n-word' in promoting memes that tag people as 'anti-vax?' Do you realize that the same collectivist stereotyping lies behind belittling any group with a label? Do you have no feelings for vaccine damaged kids and parents? — Terry Rossio (@TerryRossio) November 23, 2018 Fellow writer Jeff Grubb joined in on those criticizing Terry, sarcastically replying, “God, this is such a good point. I remember how American founders and citizens enslaved vaccine skeptics for decades. And then, even after freeing them, the government enshrined laws to marginalize vaccine deniers and to deny them wealth and opportunity. That’s just history.” God, this is such a good point. I remember how American founders and citizens enslaved vaccine skeptics for decades. And then, even after freeing them, the government enshrined laws to marginalize vaccine deniers and to deny them wealth and opportunity. That's just history. — Jeffrey Grubb (@JeffGrubb) November 23, 2018 Check out some more tweets below of people going in on Rossio for his completely misinformed comparison of being anti-vaccination to being called the n-word. Seems like just yesterday that Dylan Roof slaughtered that room full of the un-vaccinated. — Sean E. (@SeanMichaelE) November 24, 2018   And it’s not like anti-Vaxxers have any control over being anti-Vaxxers. — Irina (@IrinaMikhale) November 24, 2018   They aren't vaccine skeptics. They are raving anti-vaxxer loons who ignore the overwhelming body of scientific evidence on vaccinations. And these nutjobs endanger children's lives. — John Smith (@GOP_U) November 24, 2018   pic.twitter.com/qR9ZAwTRV2 — Horatio Velveteen (@illbegotdamn) November 24, 2018   There are no peer-reviewed scientific journals that conclude vaccines are harmful. You have no proof, and your anti-intellectualism is going to get kids killed when hapless parents see your posts and decide that *their* kid can probably survive measles (spoilers: they can't). — Jimi Brady (@JimiBrady) November 24, 2018   You’re right. “Anti-vax” is an inaccurate term. “Pro-disease” is far more appropriate. — Deborah Cottrell (@batgirlgsxr) November 24, 2018   This tweet is disgusting, of all the words in the English language you had to use that one? Yet you call yourself a writer? As a white person that word makes me feel shame, and sadness I could never use it. This tweet says a lot about you, none of it good. — Terri Thompson (@oneleglover) November 24, 2018
