Robert Pattinson is feeling a little combative these days. The actor recently went off on the nickname of R. Patt and then followed that up in the same interview with The Guardian , focusing his ire on celebrity activities and especially singling out those who got involved with Occupy Wall Street. “I remember when Occupy happened in LA. I knew a bunch of actors who went down to it,” Pattinson said . “They all drove down there, because no one takes the train, and parked one stop away, because they didn’t want to be seen driving their free Audis, and then got on the train. “I was like, ‘What are you doing? You’re probably ruining it for the other people’. I guess that’s kind of a bubble; you want to say things, but you are being hypocritical. I’ve never really been in a position to give my opinion on political stuff before, it doesn’t really come up. But suddenly you’ve got to take an enormous amount of responsibility.” Pretty heavy stuff from Robert. Drake is adamant that he did not beat up Chris Brown last night, claiming he was in the process of leaving the nightclub when the stars’ entourages threw down. Chris Brown’s fight with Drake and his posse at a New York club left him with a gash on his chin (he posted a pic of it on Twitter that he later took down). He says he was leaving when $h!t went down though. His rep said: “[Drake] did not engage in any activity which resulted in injury to person or damage to property.” “Drake did not participate in any wrongdoing of any kind last night at W.i.P. He was on his way out of the club when the altercation began.” Earlier reports indicated, contrarily, that Brown and Drake had been hanging out in the VIP section when Drake began pointing and yelling at Brown. Brown began yelling back, witnesses say, and that’s when members of both entourages rushed in and began shoving each other repeatedly. With tensions escalating, someone threw a bottle, causing an all-out melee. It’s unclear who threw it, but bedlam erupted and security called the police. Now, a new witness claims it was a rapper hanging out with Drake, Meek Mill (pictured below), who was screaming at Chris and vice versa, not Drake personally. One of Chris’ “lieutenants” was also involved in the screaming match. The informant won’t say what specifically the music stars’ camps were arguing about, “for fear that someone will get hurt.” You can use your imagination there. Another source says Chris was hurt when Meek Mill hit him with a bottle. What’s clear is that Brown and Drake left the scene by the time the cops showed up, but several members of their entourages remained at the club. Multiple members of both crews required medical assistance and the club suffered some serious damage in the fight, including many busted tables, broken mirrors, shattered lighting and glass scratches all over the floors. By Jocelyn Vena W.I.P. nightclub Photo: As more details emerge about the reported altercation between Chris Brown ‘s and Drake ‘s entourages at a Soho nightclub, a rep for Drizzy is denying that the Canadian MC had anything to do with the scuffle at NYC hotspot W.I.P. “Drake did not participate in any wrongdoing of any kind last night at W.I.P. He was on his way out of the club when the altercation began,” his rep told TMZ . “[Drake] did not engage in any activity which resulted in injury to person or damage to property.” The site further reports that the fight broke out between the two camps after Brown and Meek Mill, who was at Drizzy’s table , started “trash talking” each other. Despite earlier suggestions, it was reportedly not over Rihanna, who has been romantically linked to both Drake and Brown. According to the TMZ source, Brown’s face was hurt when Mill threw a bottle at him. Other sources told GossipCop.com that the incident went down around the same time as last call, at 3:50 a.m., when the two crews were partying along with Mary J. Blige, Ne-Yo and Fabolous. Right before Brown got hit in the face with the bottle, the eyewitness said Drake looked “pissed” and “serious.” Once the bottle was thrown, by someone in Drake’s camp — though the site does not specify Mill as the assailant — that’s when things got ugly. For about 15 seconds, the two parties, made up of about 15 people each, began throwing glasses, bottles and metal ice containers at each other, with some people getting caught in the crossfire. The site also obtained a photo of Brown’s bodyguard, Big Pat, who got a serious head injury during the scuffle. In the photo, Pat is lying on a stretcher with his bloody head bandaged. While GossipCop reported that neither Drake nor Brown ever hit each other, Brown did get a wound on his chin. Right after the incident, both parties left the club and then police officials and the club’s bouncers cleared out the club. *Sigh* An altercation outside a nightclub in suburban Phoenix erupted in a shooting, leaving 13 people wounded including two in serious condition, police said Saturday. Police are looking for two young men as possible suspects, who fled after the gunfire around midnight Friday in the parking of The Clubhouse Music Venue. Tempe Sgt. Steve Carbajal confirmed to msnbc.com that at least two of the injured were taken to local hospitals and were in serious condition, while the others were treated for wounds that appeared less severe. In an emailed statement Carbajal said the incident occurred at 11:30 p.m. local time (2:30 a.m. ET). The story goes on to say… Police are hunting the pair, described as black men wearing dark clothing, who fled on foot from the club on East Broadway Road, located about 7 miles east of downtown Phoenix. Carbajal described the shooting as the result of “some sort of altercation” at the club, where a rap music concert was going on. He didn’t have immediate details on the altercation, if both of the men are suspected of firing weapons, and on the type of guns used. He said some of the injured drove themselves to the various hospitals in the area so police aren’t sure if there were other victims besides the 13. According to TMZ reports : Pilar Sanders called cops to Deion’s gargantuan Texas mansion yesterday … claiming she was ATTACKED by one of Deion’s female friends … while the NFL legend stood by and watched. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … Pilar told officers a woman named Laura arrived to the mansion to see Deion … but Pilar told Laura she was not welcome in the home and asked her to leave. But for a star that has made her name for shocking our senses, Mother Monster’s newest venture is decidedly low-key. After dropping several mentions in interviews over the past few months about a new restaurant she planned to launch with her father, Joseph Germanotta, Joanne Trattoria will finally open its doors on Wednesday. The modest Italian neighborhood eatery on West 68th Street in New York was described by The New York Times as having a “well-stocked bar, a cozy back patio and seating for about 70 people.” The walls are covered with scenes of the Tuscan countryside, and near a fireplace at the entrance, diners will see some Germanotta family photos hanging by a front booth. The restaurant will be run by Joseph and Gaga’s mother, Cynthia, and her proud pop admitted that his daughter “just generates a lot of sizzle,” helping to get the word out about the venture. The chef and partner in the business is Art Smith, who met Gaga at a taping for the “Oprah Winfrey Show.” Smith was Winfrey’s personal chef for several years. The name was inspired by Joseph’s late sister, Joanne, who died of lupus at age 19. Not only is “Joanne” Gaga’s middle name, but in a number of interviews the singer has opened up about her strong connection with her late aunt. “I thought I was gonna die,” she said last year. “I wanted to be the artists I loved, like Mick Jagger and Andy Warhol — and I thought the only way to do it was to live the lifestyle. But then I realized my father’s sister Joanne, who’d died at 19, had instilled her spirit in me. She was a painter and a poet — and I had a spiritual vision I had to finish her business.” The Times noted that Gaga is not officially a part-owner of the restaurant, which Joseph said the family could have afforded to open even if his daughter had not risen to global fame. It has long been his dream to open the eatery, he said, and visitors at Joanne will dine on “Southern Italian,” given that Smith is from the South and the Germanottas are Italian. That means they will chow down on dishes such as “Papa G’s chicken,” traditional offerings like osso buco inspired by Joanne and “Cynthia’s salad,” named for Gaga’s mother. Hoping to temper fans’ expectations, Joseph said he wasn’t sure if he’d post current pics of Gaga among the family photos. Maybe, he said, just an old one in which she’s not as recognizable. And though he’s happy to have his eldest get the word out about the family business, if fans make the trek expecting to see a trophy case with VMAs and Grammys, “It’s not going to happen,” he warned.
