Joy-Anna Duggar Reveals Dramatic Post-Baby Weight Loss Secrets

Joy-Anna Duggar’s struggle to lose weight after giving birth had some fans convinced she was pregnant again already . Well, she has dramatically lost weight, and offers to share her secret with fans. She also reveals that she has already reached an amazing weight loss milestone. Joy-Anna Duggar recently posted a mind-blowing selfie. She has struggled to drop her pregnancy weight, as many mothers do, but her new photo showed her figure looking very trim. Fans wanted to know her secret — and Joy-Anna is willing to talk. “Hey guys!” she writes in her Instagram story. “So I want to share with you what I’ve been doing to lose my baby weight.” It has clearly been working. “A couple months ago,” Joy-Anna shares. “I really wanted to hit it hard and just lose this baby weight.” “I tried exercising,” she reveals. Joy-Anna continues: “I tried dieting.” “And,” she laments. “Nothing was really working.” The reasons why some people struggle to lose weight are complicated, and often come down to time, money, and genetics. In the end, the human body excels at holding on to weight and is reluctant to shed those precious pounds. The tale of her weight loss had several steps, including how she learned of the technique she used. “So,” Joy-Anna shares. “My friend Jessica told me what she had been doing.” She is referring to Jessica Ballinger. “She lost 47 pounds,” Joy-Anna shares, and “feels amazing.” Different people gain and lose very different amounts of weight during pregnancy. “And,” Joy-Anna adds, her friend Jessica “says she has so much energy.” Some crash diets can make people feel exhausted because they are literally malnourishing themselves. Carbohydrates are the fuel that keeps the human body running, folks. Joy-Anna was totally blown away. “I know her,” Joy-Anna gushes. “And saw her results.” She had finally found the solution to her post-baby body. Joy-Anna says that she made a resolution for herself “and was like, I want to do it.” Good for her! Here is where Joy-Anna reveals her major weight loss milestone. “I started it,” she shares. “And I have already gotten down to my pre-pregnancy weight.” That is amazing! “And,” Joy-Anna boasts. “I am still losing weight.” That’s impressive, but we of course hope that she does not take weight loss to any unhealthy extremes. She reveals: “I just feel so good.” “If you guys are wondering what I’m doing,” Joy-Anna says. “You can contact her and I will put her link in the next story.” In other words, she’s not going to steal her friend Jessica Ballinger’s thunder. She says that Jessica’s method “helps teach you how to use food as fuel.” “And,” she adds. “provides you with the food that is necessary to burn fat without sacrificing energy.” Hmmm. So no, Joy-Anna does not provide details. At times it sounds like she is simply describing a diet, like the keto diet or something similar. At other times, it sounds like she is describing something more involved, like a food plan for which one must pay. There are plenty of people who love their food subscription plans. There are plenty of people who love their diets. No healthy solution is going to work the same way for everyone, however. We are so glad to hear that this worked so well for Joy-Anna. Amber Portwood: I’m Suicidal and It’s MTV’s Fault!

Amber Portwood is going through a difficult time. Of course, as many fans have pointed out, it seems that Amber is pretty much always going through a hard time. Though many of her problems are self-inflicted, and she seems reluctant to atone for her abusive and violent past, Amber's struggle with postpartum depression has earned her the sympathy of many Teen Mom OG viewers. However, many of those fans have been discouraged by Amber's continued tendency to blame others — including her employers — for the state of her mental health. Take a look:   1. Amber’s Angst Amber has been quite open about her various mental health issues, including her struggles with postpartum depression. 2. Tough Times Amber has been struggling with depression for years, and she said it’s hit particularly hard in the months since her son James was born. 3. A Shocking Scene The latest episode of Teen Mom OG showed Amber confessing that she had recently considered taking her own life. 4. Self-Reflection “I didn’t accept that I had postpartum in any way,” Amber told her cousin Krystal of that dark time. 5. A New (Bad) Feeling “I just didn’t know what it felt like because I had never experienced that before,” Portwood continued. 6. Taking a Toll Asked how her mental health is affecting her relationship with Andrew Glennon, Amber revealed that she and Andrew have endured several rough patches in recent weeks. View Slideshow

Amber Portwood: I Almost Killed Myself After Having My Baby!

It's no secret that Amber Portwood has had a rough life. We've been seeing snippets of it for years on Teen Mom OG. She's dealt with drug addiction, mental illness, abusive relationships (from both sides). She's even gone to prison. Yep, she's definitely been through some things, you know? Including, after giving birth to her second child earlier this year, postpartum depression so severe that she nearly committed suicide. 1. What a Ride Poor Amber, right? Well, sometimes. 2. What a Tragedy Amber sure has been through a lot, including the deaths of her little sister and her father. She also struggles with being bipolar and having borderline personality disorder. 3. Wow She’s also assaulted her ex-boyfriend, Gary Shirley, at least once in front of their daughter, Leah. 4. Yikes That assault led her to be sentenced to five years in prison. Well, that and drugs. 5. Double Yikes After serving a portion of her sentence, she was released, and she really seemed to have changed a lot. Then Matt Baier creeped his way into her life, and things were bad for a couple of years again. 6. Thank God She miraculously realized just how big a creep he was, and last year she kicked him to the curb after they filmed Marriage Boot Camp together. View Slideshow

Teen Mom OG Recap: Roll With the Punches

Teen Mom OG  serves as a great reminder that baby daddy drama can be forever. Both Bristol and Cheyenne grappled with very different types of baby daddy drama. And Amber, who gave the episode its title, was taking up boxing as therapy to ward off  yet another Instagram meltdown . Bristol was grappling with baby daddy Levi Johnson’s refusal to sign off on Tripp’s  Dancing With The Stars: Junior  contract. “Levi refused to sign this contract,” Bristol claimed. “Saying that he has zero interest in the money that Tripp makes.” Bristol accused: “He’s had this document for two months now.” “All these triggers with my baby daddies…they all come from money,” Bristol lamented. She then confessed: “I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong to have all these terrible relationships.” Sometimes, terrible people date terrible people. Water always finds its level. So why was Bristol’s first baby daddy balking? Levi himself, who was kind of entertaining for a while in 2008 but never deserved to be played by Justin Gaston on HBO’s  Game Change , explains. “Don’t play that on me…you sent me a piece of paper with no contract to look at, so I didn’t know what I’m signing,” Levi countered. Levi said: “That’s not how it works.” Bristol, however, thinks that Levi is missing the urgency of the situation. “Tripp’s not being paid until that contract is signed,” Bristol grumbled. In the end, Levi did sign it, and surprised her with cash for half of the plane ticked back to Alaska. Then there was Catelynn and Tyler, who were having some communication issues as they discussed going to couples counseling. “He’s bad at saying what he needs to say in the right way,” Catelynn noted. “He just comes across really sharp,” she explained.  “I’m a feeler, so I feel that intense like, holy s–t, someone’s pissed off,” she continued. Catelynn was quick to clarify: “It’s nothing huge or detrimental to our relationship.” Being hypersensitive to the moods of others, especially to tone of voice, is an extremely common symptom of PTSD. One of the issues that they were having was how Nova had refused to leave Catelynn’s side for so long. They were concerned about her separation anxiety when Catelynn left to do a show about adoption. Ultimately, their biggest worry as a couple was about continuing to process old wounds. Having given up their child for adoption when they were just 16 and then remaining together as a couple has really left some emotional scars. They did resolve that they can get through anything, including bringing up these sensitive topics in therapy. Amber Portwood spent some time letting off some steam with some boxing. She has taken up the sport as therapy for her bipolar depression and her anger issues. After  Amber’s latest tirade  in which she threatened violence and used slurs, it’s a relief to see that she has an outlet. “I got a four month old baby!” Amber shouted after  So this would have been filmed in, what, early-ish September? Amber had confessed to partner Andrew Glennon that she was not an athletic child. She then went on to hold her own while boxing. Afterward, she was very emotional as she spoke to Andrew. “Meeting you, and the people that you surround yourself with, uplifts me to know that I can do more in life,” she confessed through tears. That is very sweet. Though her recent social media tirade shows that she still has a lot of ground to cover. Cheyenne Floyd was having baby daddy drama, just like Bristol. Unlike Bristol, her drama also involved her current beau. These problems with boyfriend Zach came up when baby daddy Cory Wharton wanted her to bring their daughter Ryder to visit him. “I feel like Cory is more of a priority than me,” Zach accused. “I just feel like the way you treat him versus you treat me,” Zach said. “It’s not the same. There’s no comparison.” In Zach’s eyes: “It’s almost like you’re more so in a relationship with him.” “If I had a baby’s mother and she asked me to go out there and spend time, you would not be OK with that,” he suggested. If you’ve ever whispered  break up with him  at a television screen, you know how rare it is for people to listen. Cheyenne, however, did just that. She did not have time to poultice his bruised ego. She’s a mom. “Right now, that’s my focus,” Cheyenne explained. “Ensuring that I have a good coparenting relationship with Cory.” She explained that it’s important “that Ryder has a good relationship with her dad and his family.” “So,” she concluded. “If my relationships, if my friendships … if my personal relationships suffer because of it, I will take that right now.” Cheyenne and Zach are broken up, at least for now. Ashley Jacobs: Returning to Southern Charm Without Thomas Ravenel?

Southern Charm is getting a bit of a casting shakeup, since Thomas Ravenel will stand trial for sexual assault . But what will become of Ashley Jacobs, who was a big enough player last season to be invited to the reunion without Thomas? She says that she’s reached a decision. Ashley Jacobs took to Instagram to share some news with her fans and followers. “After a lot of prayerful consideration, I have decided not to return to Southern Charm next season,” Ashley announced. That’s a bit of a disappointment — but probably the smart decision. “Honestly,” she reveals. “I considered filming again.” Ashley then shares that she thought about it “because I desperately want to tell my side of the story.” That could mean everything from her behavior last season to why she allegedly kept hanging out with Thomas long after he was accused of sexual assault. Ashley points the finger at one factor in particular that prevents her from returning to the show. “But after experiencing how unfair the editing process can be,” Ashley said. “I don’t think I’ll ever have a fair shot.” It is not uncommon for reality stars to say that bad editing shows them in an unfavorable light. That is even the excuse that Thomas himself used to explain his departure from the show. (Bravo has confirmed that they won’t have him back; they were investigating the same allegations that led to Thomas’ arrest) Ashley thanked her fans: “I appreciate you all following me throughout this journey.” But RadarOnline ‘s source says that Ashley returning to the series was never even an option. “Ashley was not a cast member,” the insider points out. She was always there as Thomas’ girlfriend. Reports said that she wasn’t paid for appearing on the show — except for her role on the reunion special. “So,” the source explains. “There would be no conversation of her returning or not.” Another insider accused: “She is not telling the truth.” As we previously reported, Us Weekly ‘s source said something very different. According to that tabloid, there was absolutely talk of bringing back Ashley. “They weren’t specific about what her role would be,” the insider said. “Since she doesn’t have a lot of people to film with.” “They wanted Ashley to work her way back into the friend circle,” the source explained. The insider admitted: “but there was just no guarantee that that would happen.” “Of course everyone wants to see Ashley talk to Kathryn,” the source acknowledged. The source said: “Ashley was in talks with Bravo and the producers.” That flies in the face of RadarOnline ‘s report. Curiously, both tabloids belong to the same parent company. “But,” the insider said, Ashley “didn’t feel like she could represent herself well enough with the way it was being presented to her.” That seems to match up with her statement about being concerned about editing. So, it’s difficult to say whose production source is right or wrong. However, it may be for the best that Ashley is saying goodbye to the series. Not only was her relationship with Thomas deeply toxic, but being a reality star did not sit well with her. Ashley famously lost weight and admitted that she was a nervous wreck from being on television. Self-care is important, folks. Fame isn’t worth losing your health. Amber Portwood: Threatening Suicide Over Teen Mom?!

Amber Portwood sure has come a long way, huh? If you look at footage from the early seasons of Teen Mom and compare them to the latest episodes, she almost doesn't seem to be the same person. But there is one thing that the Amber of then and the Amber of now share … And that is the ability to have a breakdown at any given moment over absolutely anything. For the past few days, she's been struggling with some issues pertaining to being a reality star — which, you know, is kind of fair. We just didn't know she was feeling this low about it. 1. Oh, Amber … If you’ve kept up with Teen Mom over the years, then you know that Amber has had more than her fair share of struggles. 2. What Started It All She got pregnant as a teenager, for example — that wasn’t easy. 3. A Bad Combination She definitely wasn’t mature enough to have a kid, and at the time, neither was Gary Shirley. And they certainly weren’t mature enough to be in a serious relationship. 4. Yikes He antagonized her for fun, she actually physically abused him more than once … it was all very, very bad. 5. Also This Oh, and did we mention that Amber had a very serious drug problem throughout all of this? 6. What a Mess Eventually Amber went to prison for three counts of domestic violence — all felonies — and Gary met Kristina, the woman who is now his wife. View Slideshow

Megyn Kelly Walks Back Idiotic Defense of Blackface

Megyn Kelly would like a mulligan. On Tuesday morning, the former Fox News host reminded NBC viewers where she used to work by sitting around with a few panelists and making a passionate defense for… … the use of blackface on Halloween? Yes. According to our records, this really was the random and racist hill on which Kelly decided to die for some reason. During the controversial segment on Tuesday, Kelly said it was perfectly alright when she was growing up for white people to dress up as black characters on October 31, speaking out against the Politically Correct Police these days who frown on such a thing. She used a really specific example to drive home her point, too. Back in April, an episode of The Real Housewives of New York featured cast member Luann de Lesseps going out for Halloween as Diana Ross . She received backlash for the outfit and then she apologized. Simple and understandable enough, right? Not to Megyn Kelly! “But what is racist?” Kelly asked, digging herself a deep grave by expounding as follows: “Because you do get in trouble if you are a white person who puts on blackface on Halloween, or a black person who puts on whiteface for Halloween. “Back when I was a kid that was OK, as long as you were dressing up as, like, a character.” We’re pretty sure that last sentence is demonstrably false; there just wasn’t social media back in the day over which folks could voice their concerns about these types of costumes. After earning immediate flak from basically everyone with a pulse, Kelly issued an apology on Tuesday evening. Written as an internal note, a copy of which was provided by a spokesperson for NBC via Twitter, Kelly said the following: One of the wonderful things about my job is that I get the chance to express and hear a lot of opinions. T oday is one of those days where listening carefully to other points of view, including from friends and colleagues, is leading me to rethink my own views. Continued Kelly: When we had the roundtable discussion earlier today about the controversy of making your face look like a different race as part of a Halloween costume, I suggested that this seemed okay if done as part of this holiday where people have the chance to make themselves look like others. The iconic Diana Ross came up as an example. To me, I thought, why would it be controversial for someone dressing up as Diana Ross to make herself look like this amazing woman as a way of honoring and respecting her? I realize now that such behavior is indeed wrong, and I am sorry. The history of blackface in our culture is abhorrent; the wounds too deep. Yes, exactly. Kelly prides herself as a journalist and yet somehow didn’t realize previously that blackface — which was used in the late 19th century and early 20th century by white theater performers to mock and stereotype African-Americans – has an offensive history?!? Come on, Megs. As Melania Trump might say, try to be be better, okay? Try not to make it so clear that you want back on Fox News and are happy to show executives there while you still belong. Go ahead and search social media for the best responses to this scandal, but we’ll go with Top Chef Padma Lakshmi and her Tweet. This is what she wrote: “I cannot believe the ignorance on this in 2018. You are on national television. “You have a responsibility to educate yourself on social issues @megynkelly. This is so damaging.” Once aganin: Yes, exactly.

Gary Shirley to Teen Mom OG Fans: Stop Trying to Make Amber Hate Me!

During the most recent episode of Teen Mom OG , fans took to Twitter to criticize Amber Portwood for what they viewed as manipulative behavior. The perceived victim of Amber's con was her ex and baby daddy, Gary Shirley. If you're a longtime fan of the show, then we probably don't need to tell you that Amber and Gary's relationship hasn't always been a bed of roses. But it seems they're working on things — and Gary would very much appreciate it if fans would stop trying to make that process more difficult. Take a look: 1. A Good Dad The Teen Mom landscape is littered with deadbeat dads, but to his credit, Gary has always prioritized the needs of his daughter, 9-year-old Leah. 2. Thick and Thin Gary has been there for his daughter during times when Amber was either physically or emotionally unable to be. 3. Gary and Kristina These days, Gary is married to Kristina Anderson, who also seems to be fully devoted to Leah’s happiness. 4. Amber’s Struggle Amber, on the other hand, is not exactly a fan favorite and has often been accused of putting her kids last. 5. To Be Fair Amber does have a lot on her plate these days, what with a new baby and a relatively new relationship with Andrew Glennon. 6. No Excuse But TMOG viewers were not eager to cut Amber any slack this week, as evidenced by their comments on Twitter. View Slideshow

Teen Mom OG Ratings Fall: Is the Show Getting Cancelled?!

So look, your friends here at The Hollywood Gossip love Teen Mom. Love. It. Unfortunately, not everyone feels the same way these days. Sure, lots and lots of people keep up with the cast and all the drama. But not a lot of those people actually sit down and watch the show every week anymore. And as hard as it is to say, that fact may be causing a big, big problem … 1. Hey, Girls! Here’s the current cast of Teen Mom OG: Catelynn Lowell, Maci Bookout, Amber Portwood, Bristol Palin, and Cheyenne Floyd. 2. Big Changes This is quite the shake-up from last season, but we’ll get into that in a moment. 3. Oh Wow This current season premiered on October 1st, and it pulled in 957,000, which is … well, it’s not great. 4. Ouch 851,000 people tuned in for the second episode, and we probably don’t have to tell you that a drop of over 100,000 viewers is even less great. 5. Sorry, Ladies The numbers are even worse when you look back at older season premieres. 6. Not Great at All Like, this is honestly really, really bad. View Slideshow

Teen Mom OGs vs. The Newbies: Are They Getting Along?

We just heard what Farrah Abraham thinks of her replacements. In an extended interview, the former Teen Mom OG star has some harsh words for Bristol Palin and Cheyenne Floyd . But Abraham hasn't actually shot any scenes with these Season 8 additions. We don't think she's even met them. Maci Bookout, Catelynn Lowell and Amber Portwood, on the other hand, have already starting filming upcoming episodes of the MTV hit with Palin and Floyd, meaning they can provide some actual insight into the fresh faces. What has filming been like so far? How do the three OGs feel about the two newbies? Maci, Catelynn and Amber spoke to Us Weekly about Palin and Floyd, giving fans an update on how everything is going on the series, which returns to MTV on Monday, October 1. Check out their quotes below. 1. The OGs Here they are. The core original four: Maci, Farrah, Catelynn and Amber. Three of the four remain, still anchoring this popular series. 2. Farewell, Farrah! But Maci Remains! Originally cast on 16 and Pregnant, Maci has three children and has been married to husband Taylor since 2016. 4. And Amber Remains! She was also a cast member on 16 and Pregnant back in the day and has two children. The new season will chronicle the birth of son James with boyfriend Andrew Glennon. 5. And Catelynn Remains! Catelynn just announced she is pregnant with her third child! The first, she gave up for adoption. The second, she loves a whole lot. All are with husband Tyler, who has supported his wife through her battles with depression and anxiety. 6. Enter Bristol Palin! At one point the most famous actual teen mother in America, she was pregnant with her first child WHILE her mom ran for Vice President of the United States.
