Scotty McCreery is having a good week. The most recent American Idol winner was named Best New Artist at last night’s American Country Awards , accepting the trophy via a live performance, as seen here: Scotty McCreery Wins, Performs! The young crooner also watched his debut album, “Clear as Day,” surpass 500,000 sold copies, a feat that took only two months to accomplish. It currently sits atop the Billboard Country Albums chart. “It’s huge,” Scotty said in a statement. “Every artist dreams of a gold album and works hard for it, so it’s a major accomplishment to have your debut album go gold. This is just incredible.” Way to go, Scotty M! We’re very happy to see you overcome this Thanksgiving incident .
In this sneak peek of American Chopper , former Monster Garage Jesse James goes head to head with Paul Teutul and Paul Teutul, Jr., to build a new bike. True to form, he’s also got a lot to say about his personal life. “I became a big shot and married some Hollywood actress and didn’t talk to anybody anymore, so I feel bad,” James says at the beginning of the episode. Jesse James American Chopper Preview His reference to America’s Sweetheart Sandra Bullock, who he cheated on rampantly, as “some Hollywood actress” is not likely to endear him to viewers. As for why he came back to reality TV? “I feel obligated to reconnect with all these people and show ’em that I’m still the same fabricator motorcycle guy. I’m not what I became,” says James. It’s not clear if James is blaming Bullock for “what he became,” but given the reasons for their marriage imploding, it’s hard not to read into it somewhat. After divorcing Bullock, he got engaged to Kat Von D, only to have that fall apart as well after he reportedly cheated on Kat 19 times (according to her). James goes on to say that his bikes are “built to be punished.” It seems that could also apply to any woman crazy enough to enter a relationship with him.

Two contestants were forced to say This Is It on The X Factor tonight, as a pair of hopefuls Beat It off stage in eliminations that were the result of their Michael Jackson-themed covers from the previous evening. So, who got the boot? ASTRO and DREW! Early on in the hour, the top three of Melanie Amaro , Chris Rene and Rachel Crow were passed through to the next round. Astro, the 15-year old rapper from Brooklyn was then sent packing, reacting in a far more mature manner then when he was forced to sing for his survival two weeks ago. He hugged his fellow contestants and thanked his “Astronauts.” It then came down to Drew and Marcus Canty, with Paula Abdul casting the deciding vote for the former based on her chair-based performance from Tuesday night. Drew fought off tears, gave praise to Jesus and said she has “a lot to show” the world still. “I think she’s a little star and I think America knows she’s going to be a star,” Simon Cowell said of his protege. ‘I just wanted to deliver something that was worth the wait, and that’s what I feel like I done,’ Jeezy tells ‘Rapfix Live’ about upcoming release. The Snowman has dropped a number of singles and mixtapes since then, but those releases haven’t satisfied the thirst for his upcoming TM 103: Hustlerz Ambition . Jeezy’s long-awaited album has been three years in the making, but the ATL trap star promises it will be worth the wait. “I ain’t the one for making excuses. I was always taught as a youngin by the OGs that you can’t take your problems and make them somebody else’s if you promised them something,” Jeezy said about his album delay on Wednesday’s “RapFix Live.” “I went through a lot of trials and tribs and different things, but I gotta take that and endure that.” Jeezy didn’t clarify what those problems were, but he told MTV News’ Sway Calloway that he had some real distractions that could’ve cost him everything. Still, the Snowman made no excuses — after all, he considers himself a mascot for the streets and one of the hood’s chief motivators. “I was dedicated every day. I put out a few mixtapes because I wanted them to know that I wasn’t being lax, or I wasn’t comfortable,” he said. ” The Real is Back 1 and 2, Trap or Die 2: By Any Means Necessary , The Last Laugh , all of that was an effort to show them that I’m really working, and I was working on the album as well.” In addition to all the free music he delivered his fans since 2008’s Recession , Jeezy also joined Lil Wayne on his America’s Most Wanted Tour and Jay-Z on his Blueprint 3 Tour. Ultimately, the “Put On” rapper just wanted to make TM 103 a quality album. “I just wanted to deliver something that was worth the wait, and that’s what I feel like I’ve done,” he said. The album is due out December 20, but a number of tracks already have been released, including the rambunctious “Lose My Mind” featuring Plies and the soul-bearing “F.A.M.E.” with T.I. Last month, Jeezy leaked “I Do,” a metaphoric song featuring Jay-Z and Andre 3000 that talks about hustling in the streets and marriage in the same breath. Then Thursday (December 1), the Snowman leaked another track, the Eminem- and Freddie Gibbs-featuring “Talk to Me.” The slow-rolling jam finds Jeezy rapping about his inner-most feelings, while Em eerily sings, “Somebody better explain why my ears are ringing so loud/ If someone’s got something to say, grow some balls and say it to my face,” on the song’s hook. It might have taken a few years to finish the album, but Young Jeezy said that doesn’t matter. “I feel like it wasn’t time. This year, the iPhone led the queries, and against stiff competition – America’s Most Hated, America’s Most Wanted and Kim Kardashian all made the top 10! The iPhone has been around for four years, but this year it expanded beyond AT&T for the first time. Plus, the iPhone 4S and its built-in assistant Siri are kind of the $h!t. It also embodied the vision of Apple co-founder and longtime CEO Steve Jobs, who left his post as the company’s chief in August and passed away on October 5. R.I.P.
