Well, it’s not surprising news that the white population in America is dwindling but the Tea Party, the KKK and other fear-promoting groups may just jump at the new demographic data recently released by the Brookings Institute.

Looks like Shelby “Swirlin” Steele has a major problem with Barack Obama . The popular black scholar has decided to “go in” on the President stating that he lacks character and experience: President Obama is destroying the country. Some say this destructiveness is intended; most say it is inadvertent, an outgrowth of inexperience, ideological wrong-headedness and an oddly undefined character. Indeed, on the matter of Mr. Obama’s character, today’s left now sounds like the right of three years ago. They have begun to see through the man and are surprised at how little is there. Yet there is something more than inexperience or lack of character that defines this presidency: Mr. Obama came of age in a bubble of post-’60s liberalism that conditioned him to be an adversary of American exceptionalism. In this liberalism America’s exceptional status in the world follows from a bargain with the devil—an indulgence in militarism, racism, sexism, corporate greed, and environmental disregard as the means to a broad economic, military, and even cultural supremacy in the world. And therefore America’s greatness is as much the fruit of evil as of a devotion to freedom. Mr. Obama did not explicitly run on an anti-exceptionalism platform. Yet once he was elected it became clear that his idea of how and where to apply presidential power was shaped precisely by this brand of liberalism. There was his devotion to big government, his passion for redistribution, and his scolding and scapegoating of Wall Street—as if his mandate was somehow to overcome, or at least subdue, American capitalism itself. Anti-exceptionalism has clearly shaped his “leading from behind” profile abroad—an offer of self-effacement to offset the presumed American evil of swaggering cowboyism. Once in office his “hope and change” campaign slogan came to look like the “hope” of overcoming American exceptionalism and “change” away from it. As a president, Barack Obama has been a force for mediocrity. He has banked more on the hopeless interventions of government than on the exceptionalism of the people. His greatest weakness as a president is a limp confidence in his countrymen. He is afraid to ask difficult things of them. Like me, he is black, and it was the government that in part saved us from the ignorances of the people. So the concept of the exceptionalism—the genius for freedom—of the American people may still be a stretch for him. But in fact he was elected to make that stretch. It should be held against him that he has failed to do so. Discuss… Read the piece in its entirety at WSJ
An unknown individual is reportedly interested in acquiring Kim Kardashian Superstar , the sex tape made between Kim Kardashian and Ray J in 2007. How does the amateur porn director feel about the rights to his work being purchased from Vivid? Just fine, we think. Caught by TMZ cameras, Ray J was asked about the potential sale and said he was not tripping over it. Mo money, mo problems, the artist added, while concluding that the rumored starting price tag of $30 million was WAY too low… Ray J Speaks on Sex Tape
Lindsay Lohan recently paid tribute to fellow Long Islander Billy Joel … by having some lyrics from his 1989 song “I Go To Extremes” tattooed on her rib cage. The words “Clear as a crystal, sharp as a knife, I feel like I’m in the prime of my life” have been affixed to the waifish body of America’s favorite train wreck. Seriously, this happened. Check out the photo of it here . While that song is pretty cool, it doesn’t hold a candle to some of Joel’s earlier work. Nor does Lindsay’s ink compare to LeAnn Rimes’ tattoo of her wedding vows. In any case, Lindsay Lohan felt the lyric was important as “It represented where she is in life and everything she’s been through … it signifies that she’s focused.” Try to at least be somewhat subtle as you stifle your laughter. Talk about the wrong place for a California King Bed. After her house took on serious water, Rihanna is suing a real estate company, property inspector and the former owner of the property she bought in Beverly Hills. She claims that those involved with the sale failed to inform her that the residence was “laden with construction defects” that ultimately resulted in water damage. And that’s no place for a California king bed. Before she closed on it in 2009, LaRocca Inspection Associates found a number of issues, including cracks in exterior walls and drainage problems on the roof that could make the house susceptible to water damage, according to the lawsuit. Rihanna still wanted the house, so she drew up a request for repairs for the owner, the suit states. Upon inspection, LaRocca declared the house “serviceable.” Well, according to the singer’s attorneys … it was not . The house sustained flood damage from a “moderate” January 2010 rainstorm after water pooled on the second-floor balcony and seeped into multiple rooms. A subsequent inspection by an insurance company found similar defects as before and Rihanna is seeking to recover a portion of the $6.9 million she paid. She is suing previous owner Heather Rudamin, Prudential California Realty, LaRocca, Landmark Design Group and a couple of agents thereof for professional negligence, fraud, breach of contract and other offenses. Now that Kim Kardashian has become America’s Sweetheart- or at least sold her wedding pics for a cool $1.5 million- there’s someone out there who wants us to forget all about her porn-y past. A lawyer representing an “anonymous client” has sent a letter to Vivid Entertainment , the current owners of the Kim Kardashian Sex Tape , saying they want to buy the rights to all XXXplicit footage of Kim (skinterestingly, Ray J , Kim’s costar, was not mentioned in the letter). This would include any raw footage that didn’t make it onto the DVD. But this mystery shopper isn’t looking to make a buck: “The party we represent does not intend to distribute or broadcast the ‘tape,’ but hopes to completely remove it from the market,” according to the letter. Pssh, like that could ever happen. They’d have to shut down the Internet. Regardless, that’s gonna be an expensive cleanup job. Vivid president Steve Hirsch told TMZ that he’ll sell the rights, but the anonymous patron will have to pony up a cool $30 million for the privilege. Hirsch adds: “I have no idea who is behind this offer … but If it’s Kim, I have a tremendous amount of respect for her. She has my number and can call me any time.” Check out nude stills from the Kim Kardashian sex tape (while you still can) after the jump!
