Donald Trump Fires Off Dumb Tweets About Global Warming & Vanity Fair, Gets Savagely Roasted

Look, we understand that headline’s not gonna please anyone. Either you’re a dyed-in-the-wool #MAGA ass and you came here just to deride us as a bunch of libtard cuck-flakes in the comments, or you’re part of the majority of Americans who wishes the president would stop tweeting entirely, in which case, you probably think we didn’t go nearly far enough. But hey, our New Year’s resolution is to piss off as many people as many people as possible, and we decided to get an early start! We kid, of course. Resolving to offend people in 2018 is like resolving to breathe in and out. It’s gonna happen no matter what, and it doesn’t require any active effort. For evidence of just how easy it is to piss off tens of millions of people these days, you need look no further than the tweets of America’s P-ssy-Grabber-In-Chief, Captain Offensive Pants. No doubt still clad in a Trump Hotel bathrobe , the president frequently outrages half the planet before he’s even dropped his morning Big Mac deuce. While our more heathen-y presidents may have taken the holidays off in order to drink Starbucks and slaughter a virgin, the Trump Train kept right on rolling!  By which we mean the 71-year-old leader of the free world spent the season of peace talking enough trash on social media to shame a recently-dumped middle school girl or a butthurt Star Wars fan. And who were the Donald’s targets this time around? Well, there was Vanity Fair , which committed the grievous offense of cracking jokes about a woman Donald once threatened to imprison, and then there was planet Earth, which has apparently pissed Trump off by continuing to exist despite his apocalyptic environmental policies. First, some context: In case you haven’t heard, it’s effing cold in the northeast. Like, even by “winter in the northeast” standards. Someone told this to Donald, and his response was apparently to crack his knuckles and start sticking it to the libs: “In the East, it could be the COLDEST New Year’s Eve on record. Perhaps we could use a little bit of that good old Global Warming that our Country, but not other countries, was going to pay TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS to protect against. Bundle up!” Now, hopefully, we don’t have to tell you that’s a dumb thing to say or point out that weather and climate are not the same thing. A cold day isn’t an indication that the planet is stable anymore than a single hot day is evidence that it’s heating up. The world’s scientists are concerned due to data collected over several decades which indicates a disturbing trend toward hotter … ya know what? Let’s just move on to less-terrifying idiocy… As you may have heard, there was controversy this week over a video posted by Vanity Fair , in which several staffers expressed their 100 percent-justified belief that Hillary Clinton should probably step away from the political arena for the foreseeable future. The situation outraged the president, not because of the content of the clip, but because VF dared to issue an apology for the sake of those who found the video offensive. “Vanity Fair, which looks like it is on its last legs, is bending over backwards in apologizing for the minor hit they took at Crooked H. Anna Wintour, who was all set to be Amb to Court of St James’s & a big fundraiser for CH, is beside herself in grief & begging for forgiveness!” Trump tweeted. Never mind that our commander-in-chief is still devoting his days to picking petty fights with various media outlets, Anna Wintour is the editor of Vogue , not Vanity Fair. Sure, they both star with “V,” but if we Donald off easy on this one, next week he’ll be referring to Justin Trudeau as the prime minister of Cambodia. Needless to say, Trump was roasted to a crisp over both tweets, but sadly seeing our president get savagely corn-cobbed by the entirety of Twitter is one of the many things we’ve been forced to get used to in 2017. Cheers to the new year! *guzzles large quantity of Drano* View Slideshow: 12 Donald Trump Tweets That Outline His Plans as President

Mohamed Jbali: Facing Deportation After Losing Paperwork

As you know if you follow the turbulent life and times of the 90 Day Fiance cast,  Mohamed Jbali has moved to Texas . Though he provides his followers with updates (and life advice ) pretty regularly, he’s said that he doesn’t want to appear on 90 Day Fiance anymore. Right now, he’s intent on working and enjoying his new life in America. Unfortunately, that may come to an end. Sunday morning, he shared an image of a very formal letter of denial from US Customs and Immigration. It’s been clear to most 90 Day Fiance fans that Mohamed Jbali’s entire motive for marrying a US citizen was to acquire legal residence for himself. He came to the US, had sex with Danielle Mullins (once), and became one of the most talked-about stars on a reality series. At the very least, you’d think that now that he has that marriage and his short-lived reality career behind him, he could move on and enjoy his new life in Texas. But … maybe not. So, remember back in October when we told you about how Mohamed Jbali might face deportation after some very important documents vanished in the mail en route to US Citizenship and Immigration Services? It turns out that, though the vast majority of Green Cards are renewed, they are really not the sorts of forms that you want to get lost in the mail. Take a look at Mohamed Jbali’s crushing news: Jbali shared this on Sunday morning, with the caption: “Sometimes the law does not make any sense because the person who made it never been in that situation.” He didn’t post the entirety of what looks like a rejection letter, but you can see the word “Denial” written pretty clearly. It’s even in bold. Interestingly, part of the form that Mohamed hasn’t seen fit to share with fans would contain the explanations for why he’s being denied. (If his application had been accepted, it’s our understanding that it would have been good for another decade) Whether it’s because the forms vanished in the mail and were therefore late or there’s more to it (we can’t help but wonder if Danielle Mullins’ quest for revenge is somehow involved) Regardless, though, this is crushing news for Mohamed Jbali. Whatever you may think of Mohamed from what you saw of him on 90 Day Fiance , this is a not-great situation. We’re sure that Mohamed wishes that his biggest legal worry were over Danielle Mullins suing him for withholding sex  during their marriage (basically). There is, however, hope. As countless fans pointed out in comments, if your application for permanent residency is denied, there’s an appeals process. That can be expensive, time-consuming, and stressful … but after everything that Mohamed’s gone through to get to where he is today, we can’t imagine that he’s going to just throw up his hands and wander back to Tunisia. Whether or not Mohamed manages to win his appeal will probably be contingent upon why he was denied in the first place. In addition to having been a reality star — that’s about as American as you can get — he’s also gainfully employed, paying both rent and taxes on top of other expenses. To our knowledge, he hasn’t been in legal trouble since his move to Texas. So, if it’s just because the form was lost, we’d sure hope that he’d win his appeal. View Slideshow: 90 Day Fiance Couples: Who’s Still Together? (As some fans pointed out, sometimes denials are sent out because most people won’t go through the work to fight them, even though a court battle is still less stressful than deportation) We wonder if the brevity of his marriage to Danielle Mullins was a factor, however. We’re no experts on immigration, but if officials decide that Mohamed scammed his way into the US, that could work against him. We sure hope that the people deciding his case are not 90 Day Fiance viewers.

Roy Moore Is Not Black Voters’ Burden, It’s White Folks’ Job To Gather Their People

Read more here:

T he world is watching as the people of Alabama prepare to place their ballots today. Their vote will determine who will be one of America’s newest Senators, namely Republican Roy Moore or Democrat Doug Jones, in a race that will shape critical U.S. policies. And while some pundits may believe Black people s hould summon their magic  to keep an accused misogynist and proven racist out of office,  it is not the sole responsibility of Black Alabamians to ensure the winning vote . Democracy is a project for all, especially those who need to do all they must to loosen their longheld and tight grip on the type power that has harmed Black people in the U.S. The differences between the candidates mirror the divisiveness present in national politics. The candidates’ positions are opposite ideologically and practically. Moore is a  white supremacist, and alleged sexual harassment perpetrator  (and child predator) who supports a blatantly sexist, anti-Muslim, and homopbobic agenda. In 2004, when a bipartisan coalition sought to symbolically erase Alabama’s constitution of its segregationist language Roy Moore was the effort’s  Staunchest Detractor . In stark contrast, Doug Jones is a civil rights activist who has  advanced progressive transformation in the criminal justice system throughout his career. His most notable action as a prosecutor involved convicting the three white domestic terrorists who bombed the  16th Street Church  in Birmingham during the 1964 crime that has been linked to the Klu Klux Klan. Four black girls were killed and the nation was morally injured. Keeping Moore Out of Office May Appear To Be The Easiest Way To Advance Black Communities In Alabama, But Black People Are Not The Majority Bloc Upholding Or Supporting Moore As If He Is Christ’s Chosen Leader. Share Given the stark differences that color the candidates’ careers, media outlets have been discussing voter behavior in terms of the Black and white vote. For example, this week’s stories in the  New York Times ,  NBC , and  The Los Angeles Times    promote the idea that if Roy Moore wins it will be because Black Alabamians did not show up to the polls—as if Black voters, and not the white voting bloc that bolsters Moore’s career, are to blame. Moore Is Not Black People’s Responsibility The idea that Black people must carry the burden of this country’s failure to exercise democracy is a notion that reminds me of a quote from Richard Wright. In  Black Boy,  he writes “My life as a Negro in America had led me to feel . . . that the problem of human unity was more important than bread, more important than physical living itself; for I felt that without a common bond uniting men . . . there could be no living worthy of being called human .”  Here, Wright notes that political discourse in the United States always places Black people in the position of responsibility. Black people, the thinking goes, must always place the principle of national freedom before our collective needs as a people. But, nah. The National Urban League’s (NUL) 2017   State of Black America  report lists various gains made by Black people under the Obama Administration, along with the prevalence of enduring economic, educational and health disparities between Black and white America. In the report, NUL President Marc Morial discusses what is needed to secure and advance these improvements. The report outlines the effects of a long history of systematic oppression that continues to prevail and remains in tact through the actions of political leaders like Moore. And that is why Black people’s focus should be on prioritizing the security of their households and communities and not an unpromised concept of freedom. Source: Drew Angerer / Getty Media Must Point Out The Real Problem, And Black People Aren’t It Keeping Moore out of office may appear to be the easiest way to advance Black communities in Alabama, but Black people are not the majority bloc upholding or  supporting Moore as if he is Christ’s chosen leader . Black people, to be very clear, are not lending their vote to a man accused of sexually harassing several women when they were girls, a white man who also believes the days of chattel slavery in the U.S. had glorious moments. During the GOP runoff, Black people took note when the  the  Los Angeles Times  documented Moore’s most historically inaccurate and offensive quote this year. The  LA Times  reported, “In response to a question from one of the only African Americans in the audience — who asked when Moore thought America was last ‘great’ — Moore acknowledged the nation’s history of racial divisions, but said: ‘I think it was great at the time when families were united — even though we had slavery — they cared for one another…. Our families were strong, our country had a direction.’” If Moore Wins It Will Be Because White People Elected Him. Share Moore seems to forget that Black families were destroyed during enslavement, but one must first be aware of history to no longer remember it. Either way, it seems safe to say that the descendants of enslaved African people will not support a candidate whose willful ignorance echoes that of a treasonist Confederate. Voting, however, can be an act of self care and harm reduction. Black people have shown overwhelming support for Jones. Polls for today’s race  in Alabama show that he has 93 percent of the Black vote and just 33 percent of the white vote. This makes sense given Moore’s record on civil rights and the actual needs of Black people in Alabama. What remains most shocking, if only because it is to be expected, is the support that Moore receives from white constituents. The decision to operationalize the ideals of an American democracy, one that supports the participation and livelihood of all people, depends on the support of the majority of citizens. Here in the U.S. that majority is comprised of white people. As is the case in most special elections, there is an expectation for low voter turnout today. For this and many other reasons credible pollsters are  unable to predict  today’s winner. This is a tragedy that white people must own, but therein lies the problem media refuses to center on: if Moore wins it will be because white people elected him. Moore is white folks’ candidate and his support is their acknowledgment that white interests will always trump democracy and national safety. Fans React To The Season 8 Mid-Season Finale of The Walking Dead

Read the rest here:

T hey promised us a shocking death was coming for The Walking Dead Season 8, mid-season finale and they delivered. Episode 8 titled “How It’s Gotta Be” was definitely an hour plus nerve-wracking experience and it didn’t help we knew someone was going to die. There was plenty of action, suspense with a heavy amount of foreshadowing as we waited to find out which beloved character was going to bite the dust. All of the turmoil in the form of Negan and his Saviors that was unleashed upon the Alexandrians and Hilltoppers is a direct result of Daryl not being patient and following Rick’s plan. The Saviors were absolutely pissed that they were trapped in The Sanctuary. But who knew the sacrifice would be so great and the one who would suffer again the most is Rick. While Negan is burning down Alexandria, Rick is racing back to warn them but it’s already too late. His son, Carl is in charge and is trying to get the Alexandrians to safety.  Once they leave Carl mans up faces Negan and offers his own life as a sacrifice to give his people time to escape. At first, it just seemed like a ploy but as it played out Carl was really trying to end his life, no seriously he really was. WTF Carl! Carl hops down and is on his own against an army of Saviors led by Negan who are destroying everything on site looking for him. Carl manages to dodge all of the explosions and Negan but his well being remains a mystery. Rick finally arrives back in town frantically searching for his family and finds Negan waiting in his house. They immediately engage in a serious brawl and if we are sure folks thought this might be it for Rick. The fight ends when Negan pushes Rick through a window. So we don’t lose either Rick or Negan at this point. Also, Michonne decided to stick around as well so that also gave fans the impression that damn we might lose our favorite katana wielding bad ass. We just didn’t know who was going to go, but boy did we quickly learn. Michonne and Rick are finally reunited when he finds her chopping up a Savior who made the mistake of trying to kill her. They head back to the sewer and we see a good portion of the Alexandrians have made out alive. Rick is searching for his family and he sees Judith but no Carl. Time to start panicking, he makes it to the end and he sees the lone survivor he scared off in the sewer. Then Carl speaks out and says he brought him to Alexandria. Whew, Carl is alive well sort of, as we get a closer look at Carl he is very pale and we all know what the look means. Carl has a bite, but did it happen while he was trying to escape The Saviors or did he suffer the bit when he was “releasing walkers”? It was a sad moment and the internet quickly reacted to sad moment. I cannot believe they just killed carl off like that.. bye folks #TheWalkingDead pic.twitter.com/XvL7UJwCaq — idk (@WolfNialler) December 11, 2017 The show has totally taken different route extreme route with Carl’s impending death.  Season 8 had it’s ups and downs but the season finale definitely delivered, to see more of the fallout from Carl’s “death” hit the gallery below. Britney Spears Singing of the Day

Britney Spears singing Elvis to end the day of the day, becasue Britney Spears is a magical creature sent from heaven and I am convinced that somewhere inside her outside person, in this tight little dress, is the real Britney spears, screaming for help, trying to break free from the medicated coma her family put her in to keep her functional and earning – like some Brian Wilson…find the talent, imprison it, make money off it.. I am sure she doesn’t even have access to her social media, but she does have a lot of money, and in America, that’s all that matters…fuck freedom, your own personality as long as you got that cash… The post Britney Spears Singing of the Day appeared first on DrunkenStepFather.com .

Mapping Black Santa Claus: How And Where To Find St. Nicks Of Color

Read more from the original source:

T he annual holiday ritual of waiting in long lines so your children can appeal to Santa Claus for presents is officially upon us. But as America’s collective skin color skews increasingly darker, so are the men dressing up as St. Nicholas to accommodate the demand from families of color who want their children to see a Kris Kringle they can ethnically identify with. Enter Christmas 2017, where there are seemingly more Black Santas peppered across the nation’s map than ever before. You can find them at malls, churches, schools, community centers and maybe even just walking down your block, depending on where you live. But the overarching point here is that you can find them easier than ever, which wasn’t really the case just a few years ago. READ MORE: Tamron Hall Posts ‘Woke’ Black Santa Statue Photo On Instagram From the Pacific northwest to rural Georgia, and a handful of spots in between, the U.S. has more Black Santas on deck than ever before. But to simplify things a bit for those looking for them, News One has created this handy little interactive tool to help you map where exactly to find one or more Black Santas during this holiday season. Just click on the point located nearest to you to find the closest Black Santa to your town. Strangely enough, or perhaps not strangely at all depending on who you ask, there are a number of Black Santa Clauses concentrated in Indianapolis and North Carolina. On the other hand, not surprisingly, the same is true for the metro Atlanta area. Maybe most notably is Santa Larry , the Black Santa Claus who last year began making appearances at the Mall of America in suburban Minneapolis. He has triumphantly resumed his post this season at the largest shopping center in the U.S., an indication of the type of demand he and other Black Santas have generated in recent years. READ MORE: First Black Santa Comes To Mall Of America But more important that reinforcing the fictional legend of a seasonal gift-giver based on the premise of good behavior, parents who take their kids to see Black Santa will get to introduce the idea of diversity and Black identity into their children’s collective consciousness. “We are so bombarded by Caucasian images of things that are considered good, that I want [my children] to have the experience, too,” Crystal Mozell, an African-American living in Los Angeles,  told the International Business Times in 2015. Please let us know if we missed any locations where to find Black Santa and we will update our map. Seasons greetings!
