A handful of radio stations around the country have yanked the Little Big Town single “Girl Crush” because listeners have complained about its content. The track tells the tale of a woman who is jealous of her ex-boyfriend’s new paramour. Little Big Town – “Girl Crush” According to Alana Lynn, radio host at the Boise station 104.3 FM, she received a number of calls and emails accusing her of “promoting the gay agenda” after playing the song, whose lyrics include the following: I want to taste her lips cause they taste like you/I want to drown myself in a bottle of her perfume/I want her long blond hair, I want her magic touch/Yeah cause maybe then, you’d want me just as much. Lynn said listeners have threatened to boycott the station and, as a result, she had to yank the song from her morning lineup.
