Her 8-year-old son, James Wilkie, wants to be an actor, and he’s eager to start auditioning. But don’t get too excited, she isn’t sure when it will happen. Sarah Jessica Parker was interviewed for this Sunday’s PARADE magazine and the actress opened up about her home life and the future of “Sex and the City”. Check out some of the interview below: Her 8-year-old son, James Wilkie, wants to be an actor, and he’s eager to start auditioning. “I don’t want him to do it until after he goes to college: But part of me thinks maybe it’s better if he knows the truth now about how hard it is to be a working actor. I don’t know that he grasps what it took to get us here.” Parker acknowledges that her childhood left her with money anxieties and that she’s eager to capitalize on her earning power. “I have a lot of responsibilities outside myself. I have a large family. I want to know I can always be helpful. I guess I worry.” On tying with Angelina Jolie for the top spot on Forbes’ list of highest-earning actresses. “Where do they get these numbers? I didn’t plot a future like this, although I know some people do. When Matthew and I started working, all we knew is that we wanted to be great actors. I don’t think I ever thought about money or that people would know my name. I loooove the work! When I was a little girl getting free lunches in Cincinnati, could I imagine being on a list in Forbes magazine?” On the difficulty of balancing career and motherhood. “We’ve had two occasions recently where both Matthew and I were working, and it was so hard on the kids. Especially James Wilkie, because he can really articulate how he feels about our absence. On the other hand, there are big chunks of time when we’re home a lot more than conventionally working parents. A source at the theater tells OK! (yeah, we know): “Maddox looked so uncomfortable after about 20 minutes and tried to get his parents’ attention – while his sister Shiloh was scared and crying.” “Brad and Angelina turned very tense the whole time. They hardly spoke, and as soon as the show was over, they went their separate ways.” That about sums up Brangelina these days. The wedding buzz may swirl around the couple, but they’ve been leading separate lives in London as Brad films his zombie thriller, World War Z . When he’s not filming, sources say he spends off-hours with pals, in particular a mysterious young assistant who we’ve reported on before. “Angelina is seething!” the insider says. “When she rearranged her schedule and flew to London to be with Brad, she imagined they’d be having romantic dinners and hanging out together on the set, and he’s basically blowing her off.” In Angie’s view, Brad is basically a bad boyfriend. “They had plans; then he’s left her hanging at the last minute,” the source says of the pair. “For instance, they were supposed to go to this French restaurant.” “Angie got all dressed up. Even Angelina Jolie can’t do it all. Between acting, directing, raising six kids and saving the world, she’s got a lot on her plate. As she gets older, the 36-year-old knows something has to give. What she’s likely to give up first is an easy call . The Oscar winner, whose directorial debut is in post-production, and who will be starring in a remake of the Elizabeth Taylor film Cleopatra , said: “As Brad and I get older we’re going to do fewer films. I’ve been working a long time, he’s been working a long time. We’ve had a nice run and don’t want to be doing this indefinitely, our whole lives. There are a lot of other things to do.” “You’re drawn to certain roles because they question something about life, about love, about freedom. You ask these questions as you grow up: am I strong enough, am I sane enough? Do I understand love, do I understand myself?” Jolie continues, “I’m older and I know who I am … and I’m less interested in the character helping me answer something … than in being able to answer it for myself, as a woman, as an adult, with my family.” For Angelina, answers that she once sought to find from her characters can now be found as she travels the world, taking her adopted children to their home countries and doing massive amounts of charity work. Of course, Jolie has said that same exact thing a number of times previously; she first mentioned it in 2006, and then again in 2008. Think she’ll really pull herself away?

Despite their impending divorce and all the upheaval in their lives, Maria Shriver and Arnold Schwarzenegger are forming a united front this week. “A few days ago our son Christopher suffered an accident at the beach,” the estranged duo said in a statement after Christopher was hospitalized . “While it has been a very scary week, Christopher is surrounded by his family and friends. He is a brave boy and is expected to make a full recovery.” Christopher, 13, was boogie boarding on Sunday in Malibu, when something went wrong and he suffered a collapsed lung, broken bones and broken ribs. Maria was with him on the beach at the time of the accident, says the source. His parents extend their gratitude to those providing their son’s care. “On behalf of our entire family, we sincerely thank the paramedics and lifeguards who responded so swiftly as well as all the doctors, nurses, emergency room and hospital staff who have cared for our son,” the statement continues . “They have been extraordinary to him and to us.
