The hip-hop legend took to Twitter on Tuesday to announce which cities won the contest. Wayne is headed across the U.S. traveling to Houston on Dec. 17, Atlanta on Dec. 19, D.C. on Dec. 21, and Chicago on Dec. 23. Thank y’all for the love! Fans were called to action to vote for their own city to see which areas wanted some Wayne the most, with four cities in total winning the once in a lifetime opportunity. “It’s going to be a real intimate setting, some different shit,” Wayne shared with fans via video message. “It’s gonna be intimate but I’m still gonna go crazy, you might get to hear some shit you never heard, some shit people may never hear.” He continued, saying, “This year has been amazing and I’m so grateful for all the love Tha Carter V has gotten. There’s no better way to wrap up 2018 than to spend it with the people who mean the most to me—my fans!” So who’s making their way to one of these shows to catch an intimate Lil Wayne show and possibly hear some unreleased songs?!
Earlier this year, we reported that Thomas Ravenel was accused of sexually assaulting his children’s nanny and then firing her. That harrowing account was the second accusation of rape to come out against him. Now, Nanny Dawn is suing Thomas over the assault — and the lawsuit also includes Bravo and NBC. Here’s why: RadarOnline reports that Ravenel’s children’s former nanny, Dawn Ledwell, is suing the disgraced former reality star for “assault, slander, and libel.” In court documents, Thomas is accused of having “violently and aggressively” ripped off her clothes in the January 2015 incident. He then allegedly forced his hand between her legs to assault her genitals, “causing severe and significant injuries.” Per the documents, Thomas then attempted “to engage in sexual intercourse” against her will. Ledwell’s team says that hs “conduct was so extreme and outrageous as to exceed all bounds of decency.” “And,” documents read, his behavior “must be regarded as atrocious and utterly intolerable in a civilized community.” That’s all heinous, and we already know that Thomas Ravenel will go to trial over the alleged assault. But why are Bravo and NBC included in all of this? Court papers claim that the production company and network “created, permitted and encouraged Southern Charm plot lines.” These were plotlines, they say, “that focus on alcohol, sexual encounters.” “And,” documents accuse. “The concept that male cast members, including Defendant Ravenel, suffer from ‘Peter Pan Syndrome.'” The papers continue: “and they are the ‘Lost Boys’ and Charleston is their ‘Neverland.'” In the court documents, Ledwell says that, December of 2015, she informed an employee of “Corporate Defendants” about the allegations. The corporate defendants would be Bravo, NBCUniversal and Comcast. We have no idea what sort of employee her team means. However, the documents accuse that the companies “failed to investigate.” It may be difficult to prove that this matter was passed up the ladder to the appropriate individuals. But it sounds like the accusation is that executives didn’t want to stir the pot with a scandal and cared more about ratings than justice. Ledwell’s team believes that Thomas Ravenel knowingly benefitted from corporate greed. “Corporate Defendants and Ravenel have conspired with one another to deter the investigations of assaults committed by Defendant Ravenel,” documents read. Ledwell reports that she has not been contacted “since the public disclosure of the allegations of assault in or around May 4, 2018.” While Bravo did make it clear in 2018 that Thomas would never return to Southern Charm , this was only after the scandal came to light. Did execs feel that public pressure and #MeToo forced their hand, or was this just the first that the right people had learned of the allegations? A statement was released at the time of the allegations against Thomas Ravenel. “Haymaker, the production company for Southern Charm, and Bravo take allegations like these very seriously,” the statement read. It continued: “Haymaker is conducting an investigation, and once all the information is gathered and carefully reviewed, appropriate action will be taken.” Since then, of course, Thomas has not appeared on Southern Charm . Dawn Ledwell has requested a jury trial for the lawsuit. Proving sexual assault is extremely difficult in our legal system. Ledwell is already in the minority, in that her allegations led to an arrest. (The vast majority of sexual assaults are not even reported to police, and even fewer lead to arrests and trials) Proving this conspiracy to cover things up seems like a longshot, even if it is true. Unless there is an employee willing to blab or a particularly damning corporate email, it sounds very tricky. As always, we hope to see justice done. It will soon be the end of an era on The Today Show. An era defined by a lot of laughter, a great deal of banter and a $hitload of white wine. On Tuesday morning, Kathie Lee Gifford took Today viewers by shock when she announced her impending departure from a program she has co-anchored for 11 years. Sitting alongside close friend and Hoda Kotb during their shared third hour of the program, Gifford said the following: “I have something to share with everybody, and it’s bittersweet as these things always are. “It’s an exciting time for me, and I’m thrilled about all the projects that are coming up. But it’s also hard … because I love everybody here so much.” Growing emotional, Gifford continued as follows… “I’ve been in this business 120 years and never worked with a more beautiful group of people who just give, give, give, every day. “Four hours of live television every day, five days a week. “We have fun and we laugh and we support one another and we know each other’s kids names and we know when someone’s having a colonoscopy. “We know everything! We do life together.” Gifford will remain on air through her official 11-year anniversary, April 7, before taking her enormous wine glass and going home. The veteran host also signaled out Kotb in her farewell announcement. “You’re just so special, Hoda,” she said. “Thank you, thank you so much.” The Today Show, of course, has undergone a few drastic changes over the past two years. First, Matt Lauer was fired amidst accusations of sexual misconduct. Then, Megyn Kelly was let go for basically being a racist buffoon. Through it all, Gifford has helped keep things lighty and boozy during the show’s 11 a.m. hour. “As we all know, Kathie Lee’s plate has been overflowing lately with film, music and book projects, and after giving us eleven extraordinary years, she’s decided to focus her attention full-time on those other creative endeavors,” NBC News chief Noah Oppenheim wrote to the Today staff in a memo this morning. The executive also shared the following message from the 65-year-old herself: “In 2008, I joined the Today show family intending to spend one year. “But something unexpected happened along the way: I fell in love with a beautiful, talented, extraordinary Egyptian goddess named Hoda, and an amazing group of individuals who work tirelessly and joyfully at their jobs, many of them starting at midnight, creating an unprecedented four hours of live television. “I stayed year after year making a million memories with people I will never forget. I leave Today with a grateful heart but I’m truly excited for this new creative season in my life. “Many thanks to all the wonderful people who made the years fly by.” We don’t yet know what plans Today has to fill Gifford’s spot. But Gifford rose to stardom on Live with Regis and Kathie Lee and then took a break after leaving that wildly popular program in 2000. Kathie started her career as the “singing girl” on Name that Tune in 1977 and has been a consistent fixture on the small screen ever since. Concluded Gifford upon making her announcement on Tuesday: Thank you again everybody for loving us and supporting us. I know somebody wonderful will be sitting in this seat afterwards. I have my idea of who might be absolutely wonderful, but there’s a great pool of talent and beauty and heart around here, right within our own family. And if they come from outside the family they will soon become family because you all treat everybody that way.
Offset’s Mistress Tearfully Apologizes It looks like Cuban Doll isn’t the only one who’s been giving Offset some part-time lovin’ when Cardi’s head was turned. Apparently, a woman by the name of Summer (@TheSummerBunni) was routinely linking up with Offset during his marriage, and is the also woman that Offset was messaging regarding arranging a threesome with Cuban Doll in “New Or Lean.” This all ultimately caused Cardi to become officially fed up with b oxing all of Offset’s hoes and risking her freedom over it all. Now, with the announcement of Cardi’s split, Summer is showing remorse. She claims that she knows she was wrong to engage in a sexual relationship with Offset and promises to do better in the new year: She also claims not to have realized that Offset and Cardi’s marriage was as serious as it was (which, it seems Offset didn’t either, to be honest). She took to TMZ to explain herself, and got a bit emotional upon realizing what role she had played in the split. Well, at least she accepts responsibility for her actions and how they affect others, which we suppose is about an inch more than you’ll get from the average side piece. During her announcement, she said, “This is not a speech of concession.” She shared that she plans to file a federal lawsuit to challenge the “gross mismanagement” of elections in the state of Georgia. “I will not concede because the erosion of our democracy is not right.”
Amy Schumer largely owes her successful professional journey to talking a lot about sex on stage. Now, however, the comedian is can look forward to a special personal journey due to the act of having sex in bed. Which is to say: AMY SCHUMER IS PREGNANT!!!!! Schumer and her husband, Chris Fischer, are expecting their first child together, according to the star’s good friend, Jessica Yellin, of News Not Noise. She was asked by Schumer to make this exciting announcement on her Instagram Stories page Monday evening. “I wanted to share some news from our community, maybe it’s noise but it’s happy noise,” Yellin said. She continued: “So I’m not in the business of making voting recommendations, but these are the recommendations of Amy Schumer, one of the most consistent and earliest supporters of News Not Noise. Now read all the way to the bottom, you’ll see there’s some news down there. Congratulations, Amy.” Not exactly the most traditional way to confirm a pregnancy — but since when was Amy Schumer concerned about being traditional? Oh, right: At the conclusion of a list of Schumer’s recommended congressional and gubernatorial candidates was simply the line: “I’m pregnant-Amy Schumer.” And there we have it. The pregnancy bombshell comes eight months after Schumer and Fischer got married in Malibu . They had been dating for only a few months before the surprise February 13 ceremony, which was attended by such celebrities as Jennifer Lawrence, Jennifer Aniston, David Spade, Judd Apatow and Larry David. As part of her vows, Schumer promised to keep blowing her husband . But we now know the couple has been engaging in another form of relations as well. On February 15, Schumer confirmed her marriage to Fischer by sharing a series of photos from the wedding to Instagram, along with the caption, “Yup.” She can be a woman of few words sometimes. The actress and the Beetlebung Farm Cookbook author were introduced by her assistant (who is also his sister). They made their red carpet debut as a couple at the 2018 Tony Awards in New York City on June 10, as pictured above. Earlier this month, meanwhile, Schumer got arrested as a protest of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. Because her wedding seemed to come out of nowhere, and because she hadn’t been dating Fischer for too long at the time, many strangers on the Internet assumed Schumer was expecting. They assumed it was a shotgun marriage. But Schumer shot down this chatter by writing “No I am not pregnant” on Instagram not long after she became a wife. But an insider tells Heat Magazine that Jolie is sick and tired of being single and she’s prepared to do something about it. “Right now, Ange’s looking at potential suitors who have been suggested by her business team,” a source tells this random publication, adding; “She’s also putting the word out in high-powered circles.” Okay, fair enough. Perhaps we ought to amend our opening sentence to read: Attention, rich and famous men around the world… you may be able to marry Angelina Jolie! As you very likely know by now, Jolie and Brad Pitt filed for divorce in September of 2016. To this day, it seems hard to believe, despite all the bad blood that apparently exists between the stars and all the mean things that have been said back and forth between them in the press. In mid-August, Jolie was ordered to green light more time for Pitt and the ex-couple’s six children, leaving her bitter and allegedly angry over the whole situation. Is that why Jolie is now looking to move on once and for all? We don’t know. However, Heat Magazine write the following: “Flying solo was beneficial for a while. “Ange needed to heal after the breakup with Brad – but it’s been long enough and her self-imposed exile from men is over.” It continues: “She knows a lot of people in the industry who are as good at matchmaking as they are at producing films.” It’s been rumored, meanwhile, that Pitt has found romance again, either with some woman named Neri Oxman or with Jennifer Aniston. And this source claims that “seeing Brad move on has put a fire under [Angelina]” to go out and do the same. If she really is on the market, it’s hard to think of any woman who would be more sought after than Angelina Jolie. What sort of man is she hoping to find? “She hasn’t felt a real spark in ages and she misses it,” the source concludes. “She’d like someone who can match her intellect, but most importantly, she needs a physical connection.” Ah, okay. The news comes after numerous websites erroneously believed that the long-awaited album would be dropping last Friday, though no one from Young Money or Wayne himself confirmed the news. So Friday morning at 12:01 AM, expect plenty of Wayneheads to be shedding tears of joy. It’s the first release of his that won’t have the Cash Money imprint on it as he and Birdman settled their years long court feud. Tha Carter V was originally announced in 2014 but has been delayed and stuck in perpetual limbo ever since. Cole Starts Hurricane Relief Fund Following record-breaking rainfall, flooding rivers, and mass power outages wrought by Hurricane Florence–which made landfall in North Carolina last Friday, September 14– J. Cole has just launched a storm relief fund through his nonprofit, Dreamville Foundation. The foundation is currently soliciting donations on its website and is set to target its relief efforts in Cole’s hometown of Fayetteville, N.C. Mandatory evacuations have impacted thousands of households, who were ordered along the Cape Fear River, which runs through the city and remains in major flood status, according to the National Weather Service. The Fayetteville Observer has reported that three deaths in the city’s surrounding Cumberland County may be attributed to Florence. “The Dreamville Foundation is looking to lend a helping hand to the community, children, and families affected by Hurricane Florence,” reads the announcement from the fund. “There will be hot food stations placed throughout the city, temporary housing options for families, and stocking of food pantries/shelters, as well as supporting other local non profits who help provide services for the people in Fayetteville.” The rapper is currently traveling through North America on his K.O.D. Tour. His first ever Dreamville Festival was scheduled to take place in his hometown of Raleigh, North Carolina earlier this month, but was cancelled due to safety concerns related to the storm. Before the event was forced to be cancelled, a portion of proceeds from the festival were intended to benefit Cole’s nonprofit. Those who want to contribute to the cause can donate to J. Cole’s Hurricane Florence relief fund on the Dreamville Foundation website, here .
