It’s all over for Jewel and Ty Murray. The singer and the rodeo star announced today that they are splitting after nearly six years of marriage. “My husband, friend and partner of 16 years and I have decided to get a divorce,” Jewel blogged this afternoon. “Ty and I have always tried to live the most authentic life possible, and we wanted our separation as husband and wife to be nothing less loving than the way we came together.” Jewel and Murray exchanged vows in the Bahamas in 2008 after dating for a decade. They have one child, son Kase Townes, who turns 3 next week. In a joint statement on the country artist’s official site, the pair affirmed its commitment to raising Kase together. “Our dedication to our son is unwavering and we are both committed to being the best partners in raising our son.
